Just got back from a weeks Holiday. This site was really brilliant. The pitches are well laid out and big enough for any standard sized unit. Friendly welcome and easy instructions to find your pitch. This site is really well maintained, i.E Toilet/shower blocks, swimming area were immaculate and cleaned regularly. The pool area is a bit small for the size of the site and can get busy at times but it is open all day from 8.30AM 'til 7.00PM.
Manston International Airport is approx 1 miles away, (but don't let this put you off as plane noise isn't an issue) Here there are two Museums, The Spitfire & Hurricane (free Entry) which also includes a lovely little cafe, Or the RAF Manston Museum just opposite (£1.00 adults, 0.50p children) both well worth a visit. If you go to the Beach please try JOSH BAY Beach which lays between Kingsgate and Broadstairs near to the lighthouse approx 2/3 miles from the site. Here there's a secluded bay with all the necessities of the bigger beaches but with easier parking.

Stayed on this site recently. The site has great facilities and is in a good location in which to explore the beautiful surrounding beaches and countryside. Broadstairs is a real gem, lovely old fashioned beach resort, also great shops and cinema complex close by if the weather isn't that great. The showers and toilets were well cleaned and there is plenty of entertainment on site in the evening. Nice pool, if a little too much chlorine. Our only complaint being with the staff who work in the offic were disorganised

A great site for families with kids - up to a point. Definitely NOT for a quiet stay, for the following reasons.Quite a large site, with plentiful places for children to play. Extremely noisy, up to about 1am every morning, and then from about 6am onwards. Many families allowed their children to play, kick balls, ride bikes and shout at the top of their voices around other people's tents/caravans at all hours. Many drunken revellers returning (noisily) after clubhouse closure at 11pm. Two security guards patrolling, which is good, but they did not seem to have the clout to do anything about the noise. Our grandchildren loved it - we were glad to get home for some peace and quiet!

Our third visit to this site, with each visit seeing the site get bigger. We were pitched in the 'labburnam grove' field, which can be a bit windy, but would recommend this field as the others seem a bit too closely pitched. It will be a bit further to the loos and showers here but worth the extra space. Loos and showers good, but if it was any busier we would have had to wait even longer to get a shower - could do with a couple more.
Swimming pool great for the kids, but overcrowded and chlorine very strong. Adult & babies swim 8.30-9.30 mon-fri. Play areas for children and an ideal site for taking their bikes. Arcades and a bar with disco/karaoke in the pool area were also enjoyed by the children.
Shop is very good and offers ice packs to rent. Cafe near the pool area does a lovely fry up and offers good value for lunch and dinner, but make sure you've got the right change or you will get told off! A local company come around each morning selling croissants and pastries and later in the day selling bacon, eggs, sausages, salad and lovely locally grown sweetcorn.
Although this is not a quiet site, there are security guards making sure everyone observes the rules. Quite a lot of noisy groups singing and being generally loud, but all was quiet by 11 and as we were in a group of 4 adults and 6 children aged 8 to 15, it didn't really bother us.
A good location with good shopping and beaches in the surrounding area. If you are lucky like us,you may even be treated to a free show from the red arrows, who were taking off from Manston during our stay.
No quiet weekend breaks here, but a definite hit with the children who can't wait for us to go back!

Set in the Kentish countryside, Two Chimneys is a sleeping giant. This site has something for all ,but at a more sedate pace than say a larger haven type site-great flexible indoor cum outdoor swimming pool that one would not be at all surprised to find Thunderbird 1 coming out of ,a bar to have a quiet drink, or maybe a little kareoke for the kids. Food is available , but apart from some chips from the cabin across from the pool , did not sample , but the prices were keen for the area. Play facilities were plentiful including an additional park area created during our stay on the overflow field where were pitched , not just for us, I hasten to add, but at times it did feel like it.
Showers and toilets were plentiful, clean and well maintained. I have never been to a site where the shower blocks were so quiet! Rarely ran into another soul.
The park is set up for tourers and residential static vans ,some of which are for hire. EHU dependency was cater for on the main field, which was brisk without being unhealthily busy . We requested the new overflow facility , Laburnum Grove , and enjoyed a generous marked pitch , which were only around the edge of a very large field , shared with a flock of wild parakeets. The pitches were level if a little rutted , and a little exposed to the wind, but had noted plenty of willow planted on the perimeter to act as a wind break in years to come. The staff were top rate and quick to respond to any concerns , such as tap falling off the drinking water supply, and were very polite and personable.
The site is well placed to access the various attractions on the Isle of Thannet, with Broadstairs it diamond . If you get the chance to see the fireworks there do-they are absolutely spectacular from the cliff top as they explode near to you ,so you feel encapsulated by them .The bays in this area are lovely and sandy , with some free parking available.
Bring your passport and do some channel hoping as Folkestone and Dover are about forty minutes away too. Overall , a great site within a rather special area of the country , noted for being a little warmer than the rest of the country . Two Chimneys has plans for the future involving golf and fishing, but I hope they keep a semblance of Laburnum Grove for those who like the pace of life a little steadier !

We visited in August 09 and May 08.
Although it is a lovely site, we thought the toilet / showers were not adequate for a busy Bank Holiday weekend! They were not very clean, and didn't seem to be serviced very often.
The clubhouse is a plus though we didn't use it every night.
Again, there is a good farm shop just up the road, and if you can afford an expensive steak, it is well worth forking out.

Just returned from a week's family holiday at Two Chimneys (5 adults + 4 children). This was the first camping experience for half the party and they thoroughly enjoyed it ! Kids were reluctant to leave the site as there was so much for them to do. Swimming pool great fun but everyone complained there was a little too much chlorine in the water. Pitch sizes good although a little irritated that I'd been charged for a double pitch when the Vango Diablo 900DLX would've gone on a single. Toilets & showers clean and working (if a little hot). We were on the back field and found the walk to the nearest block a little far - especially at 3am. Well equipped shop sold most things at prices that were cheaper than the local Asda. Fair amount to do close by and beaches at Broadstairs truly the best.

We have had a fantastic weekend at this site. Friendly staff, ie reception and wardens. Saw a couple of first aiders walking around too. The washing up area is a little on the small side but only really found it a bit crowded on the sunday morning when everyone was leaving around the same time. It's a very well looked after site, with marked out pitches, which are a good size. Can get rather breezy as its quite an open area (not a lot of sheltered tent pitches). But the grass is short and even, and a lot of clover, so watch for the bees. There is no flying of kites allowed as there is electric pylons running straight through the site. This did not spoil our enjoyment as there are two lovely little parks for the kids. The pool was rather on the cloudy side for me and I felt I was in a dirty (mass) bath.

This is a 5 star Hoseasons site. As ever the tourers and tents are the afterthought. The pitches are really small, if you have a big tent or awning its not good at all. The pool is cloudy! The clubhouse is small and strangely L shaped making it quite pointless. Shop was OK but very expensive. The playing field is good and the playgrounds are too. The toilet blocks were fine but busy. The pool shower facilities were poor and dirty. Many many rules on departure and pitching and selective rule breaking is annoying. Tried to negotiate a late departure for a few quid extra but was no go even though site was nearing empty! Honestly will not return to this one.

Found this site great, pitches were good size easily marked so you know where to pitch. Fantastic pool heated loved it. 3 x shower blocks ,over the whole site, one is a family shower you pay for, good idea. Recommended for families, will be going again.
