This site is very clean and well kept, however the toilet/shower and washing up facilities are inadequate for the size of site and poorly located.

Showers and toilets are loacted in the static caravan area well away from the camping field.

After a long walk to them only 2 showers for the men and 3 for the ladies greet you.( Long wait when busy) Advisable to take a portaloo.

The washing up facilites for pots and pans is very cramped and only two sinks(bowls) with no draining boards. Plenty of hot water though which ends up all over you and the person next to you.

Play ground for kids is o.K.

Shop stocks basic items, ASDA only 10 mins drive away.

Expensive site for the facilites provided for camping.

1 Plus point does have a good swimming pool which you could use to wash in if the queue gets too much in the shower block !.

We rung up this campsite whilst already staying on a not so nice site a few miles away and they gave us a space with electic within the hour.

A very friendly family campsite with fantastic facilities. The kids loved the pool and the shop was no dearer than the local newsagent (20p for a Curly Wurly.)

When you arrive you are shown to your area and given a choice of a few pitches.

The toilets and showers were clean and there was no rubbish anywhere on the site (other than in the bin).

The beach is only a few mins away in the car which is clean with a cafe, toilets, car park, and shop.

We are returning to Anglesey in the summer and will be staying on this site.

Only criticism is that the speed bumps throughout the site are a little high and we scraped the car a few times no matter how slow you go. But other than that I would recomend this site.

When we stayed here we were the only tent on the site. We were on top of the hill by the children's play area which was great for the little un. The site was immaculate and a good base for the island. The view from the tent was lovely looking over the land. The wind did blow at this time of year but it didn't spoil an enjoyable stay. Will return when the pool is open next time!

We booked this site to holiday with some friends they go every year, The 1st thing I noticed was the shower /toilet facilities were closer to the static caravans than the touring field, which left us with a bit of a walk in the welsh weather! The welcome was friendly and the site owners son was very helpful sorting out a gas bottle for us and bringing up to our caravan. The play area for the kids was very well equipped, and the pool is clean though a bit busy at times. This site is very well looked after the gardens are perfect and the facilities are always clean. The kids were gone all day in the pool or the play park which left us with nothing to do but enjoy ourselves, we loved it and will be back.

Arrived late Friday evening to be met by family owner. Lovely welcome, friendly and showed us to our pick of the pitches. Only tent in an area for 8 with suberb views over Anglesey! Sun set was beautiful as we put up our tent. Great facilities, new showers etc and brilliant play area set within grassy and rubber areas for the children. The site was immaculate and peaceful! Short drive into Benllech, Red Wharf Bay etc Visited Beaumaris and the castle is a must, beautiful.
Definitely will go back, hopefully soon!

Pitched in top field which proved to be very windy. Toilets approx two minute walk from pitch a long way in the middle of a wet and windy night! Toilets very clean on arrival on Thursday, but can only be described as filthy when we left on the Sunday.
Staff cordial and pleasant
Shop only open once during our visit and nobody mentions the nearby airfield, fine if you are into plane spotting!
Can appreciate that this is a family orientated site, not so great for relaxation if you have no children.

What a fantastic site! extremely well-run by people who are friendly, approachable and willing to help. We had four wonderful nights on this site, and have booked again for July and august! It wasn't overcrowded, even during whit week - busy yes, but not unbearably so.  We were blessed with particularly fabulous weather, not one drop of rain fell! must be a record for Wales! We didn't actually see very much of our three older children (7, 10 and 12) and felt that they were very safe and very well provided for. There was plenty to keep our 2 year old happy too.
The only negatives to this site (and everywhere has 1 or 2) that I could find would be that it was a very long walk to the nearest loos - (Portaloos on the top field would suffice), and that the showers could be too hot (if you are early) or too cold (if you are late).
Benllech beach is beautiful and entertaining for the children.
We had a big group take-away Indian/chinese from the Talent House and the Bengal Tiger, back on the main road - excellent food.
Turn right out of campsite, 6 miles to Llangefni for Somerfields, Lidl and Bargain booze.
A Site we will return to again and again.

Have just returned from a weeks stay at this site. This is a very good site and well worth considering. It has a lot for the kids to do on site with a playground, Playroom - but is full of slot machines! And a swimming pool, although this was closed for maintenance and is due to re open in May if all goes well. There is also a tennis court and tarmac football area. The views of Snowdonia are also spectacular.

There were a couple of reservations though. The hard standings drain water in but are very slow to drain water out and are more like soft standings. My rock pegs pushed too easily in and popped straight out again. My normal pegs went in very easily but of course with the next wind they came out very easily as well. Secondly the toilet block is a long walk from the camping field, through the touring filed and into the static site and the showers were very cold for the first part of the week and then VERY hot after reporting it. According to a static owner they have trouble getting the temperature right in this block.

The staff are very helpful and were quick to help when asked. Despite the reservations mentioned above we would return again but would avoid the hard standings next time.

As Mart b has mentioned below, The power does trip occasionally as we all found out on Good Friday Night, however I think this occasion was down to a fault with a NEW transformer that the site have invested in so hopefully such events will be a thing of the past. It was amusing though to see everyone leave their units at the same time to check their EHU trips.

Just got back from this fantastic clean and very well laid out site. Must easily be one of the best we have stayed on. Shower blocks were very clean and warm. Staff were all very friendly pool closed (too early in year) but looked excellent. We are already planning our first of many return trips during which my sister hubby and 2 kids will have their intro to camping. All in all a spot on site in a beautiful location. See you soon and many thanks for a great break.

The only downside we could find WHICH IS OUT OF THEIR CONTROL is that apparently the electricity blows quite a lot in summer which it did last night but they got the supply fixed very quickly and over night (on Good Friday)

Yet another winter over. Just booked our first visits back to this fantastic site. when I worked it out how many weekends and full weeks We spent at Nant Newydd last season it was a total of 6 weeks from April to September in a tent. This year we are going back with a caravan. Not only are the staff so friendly and helpful the other residents who practically live on site all season are as well. If you have a boat you can store it in the secure boat yard with an engine flush bay as well. you will not be dissappointed with this site. I have read a couple of reviews saying that the toilet block is to far from the touring/camping field.
Well I can reassure you if you stay on the top field where the play area is it is a 1 minute walk, and from the touring field a 2-3 minute walk (30sec drive)

I hope you all have a great 2005 at Nant Newydd.
