What a gorgeous campsite. Lovely large pitches, wonderful scenery, and a welcome off the local wildlife (ducks, swans and squirrels). The showers were OK. Little bit of damp, and cost 20p, but were lovely and warm. Toilets OK, with paper. Shop was good, although not exactly Tescos. The people were really friendly and helpful. Its a shame they took the swimming pool out ! Unfortunately, the weather cut our stay short, but we long to revisit.

A lovely site with level though somewhat cramped pitches. Access to club and cafe and near the lake - altogether user friendly and pleasant. The toilet / shower facilities need looking at! They were quite near most pitches which is good but were lacking loo paper most of the time and one shower (of 2!) was broken and the whole needed a jolly good scrub and update as well as regular checks. Excellent campsite in an area with plenty of activities for all the family. We were encouraged to spread out so that when family joined us we were able to put up another tent close to our own. The pool is open from 11am until 8pm allowing plenty of opportunity to use it. The weekend was noisy, but the owners were quick to sort out problems and were very apologetic. Apparently it was an unusually bad weekend, but our children still managed to sleep through it even if we didn't. The shop carries a wide variety of items and the cafe is pleasant with good food at a reasonable price. The camping is a short walk across the common from the bar and pool which reduces noise. The toilet facilities and showers are adequate, but users are not always considerate. The facilities are cleaned often, and laundry facilities are good. We had an excellent holiday and look forward to returning.

Nice site plenty of things for the kids to do - boating ,horse riding etc etc Only problem was toilet facilities and showers were a bit grubby ie needed a good clean . Shop needed to stock more groceries. Pool and bar very good . Overall would possibly go again

We actually found this site rather noisy but we were there at the same time as at least one scout holiday which ended on the Thursday night when they had a disco - you couldn't get into the club house for kids and the disco went on rather late. I agree with Michele (above) about the toilets and showers, though - and they got worse on the Friday when the families with kids started coming in for the weekend. There are a lot of private static vans so all the water-sporters start arriving on Friday. The pitch we had was nicely sited by the river and the whole site is on a huge common with horses wandering round, which is quite nice and good for walking the dog without having to go off the site. We'd rate it about 7 on a scale of 1-10.

this is a really lovely site- next to a river and a lake- where you can hire boats,do water sports etc. Quiet and with beautiful views of the Brecon Beacons. Toilet facilities, and especially showers are a bit naff- small dribble of hot water and to be honest quite dirty. swimming pool OK for about 5 minutes until your lips turn blue, but next to a pleasant bar and shop (dont go expecting fresh foods). An excellent base for exploring the Brecons though and overall we had a brilliant time.
