Had a lovely week at this site.
Not a big site for tourers as most piches taken up by seasonal pitches which makes it very peaceful during the week.
Very friendly staff and the site is beautifully maintained with hot showers and plenty of very hot water for washing up.
The only problem we had was washing our 2 small children. There are no family facilities and the showers in the bathrooms have fixed heads and a fixed, too hot for children, water temperature. We ended up bathing them in the large washing up sinks!
With this exception we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Just spent two nights here and were very pleased with it, its a nice site, reasonably priced with good facilities. The warden was friendly and was always about should you need anything.
Although it rained most all the time we still enjoyed our stay and would return. The toilets and showers were clean with plenty of hot water and well stocked with toilet rolls.
The village of Bradwell is nice, there's a decent sized co-op, fish and chip shop, post office and about four pubs. We had a meal at the The Bowling Green up in the village and it was excellent and not expensive at all.
You are just a short journey by car from Castleton, home to the Blue John Mines and Peak Cavern should you wish to visit.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at Eden House caravan park. Very hot showers and very clean toilets. As we are glampers this is our main priority! The camping section for tents is on a little slope but no worries just adjust your mattress to suit. There is an Ab Fab 'to die for restaurant/pub' at the entrance to the site, The Samuel Fox. That is the reason we will return. There is a bit of a back drop noise from the quarry at Hope, but who care,s more plus's than minus's. The site is a good base for the surrounding area whether walking, cycling or driving. This is the first site to slightly moan about our tent size, but they weren't full so we got away with it. Local shops in the village 10 minutes walk away and 3 other pubs near by, at first thought it was an adults only but children are allowed.

Nice enough little camp site. Adequate toilet facilities and showers; all clean and warmish. Pitch was well kept. Site kept tidy.
We were a little anxious about how strict the rules seemed on the site's web page, but the staff were fairly laid back and flexible. Site wasn't as quiet as promised, quite a lot of traffic movement on our second day and had to listen to somebody blaring the same CD over and over.
Bradwell's a really nice village, friendly locals, co-op in the centre, few pubs, managed to find some dog walking areas (although not many places we could let her off the lead). Tried out the Samuel Fox Inn (outside the site); cheap beer, expensive food, good quality. Doesn't feel like a country pub though.
Would consider using the site again as a quick get away as it's so close to Sheffield.

As the owner of a Static Caravan on this site and the owner of a Tourer too, all I'm going to say is that this is one of the best sites I know of. So this review is intended as a guide to Bradwell Village and the area itself.
Bradwell is something of a hidden village, its off the main tourist route and as a [fortunate] consequence is never as busy as the surrounding Hope,Castleton & Edale.
There are Four Pubs in Bradwell ,all sell traditional hand pulled beer. The 'Samuel Fox' is the nearest, and sells excellent food,at a price!.For the more 'budget concious' the 'Bowling Green' also sells food and does '2 for £10' some days.
The 'Shoulder of Mutton' is the furthest from the site, but again sells good beer and the Landlord has his own Pizza oven,so he'll do you a 'take away' if that's what you want.
The 'White Hart' is a small cosy pub and has the occasional Rock/Pop band on [mostly around Bank Holiday or Village Carnival time]. Dogs are allowed in the White Hart too [btw, the site owners operate a strict no dogs allowed policy on the Static Field, although dogs are allowed on the Touring field].
The Carnival itself [and Well Dressing] takes place end of July / beginning of August [the dates vary, something about the last Saturday before the first Monday in August. I can never work it out]. But Bradwell is well worth a visit over Carnival Week, the festivities last a full week.
Bradwell village itself has two main shops,a small but well stocked Supermarket and a Post Office / Newsagents. There is also the local Chip Shop which doesn't just sell the usual 'fish, chips & pies' but also a fair selection of Curries and other take aways. All I can say is study the menu before you order.
Local attractions are the caves at Castleton. I'd recommend the Peak Cavern and Treak Cliff Cavern as my favourites, the others being the Blue John Mine and the Speedwell Mine, the Speedwell is unique as the visit includes a boat ride.
The 'Three Roofs' at Castleton is an excellent Cafe and most of the pubs in Castleton are 'dog friendly' if you have your dog with you. There is also an excellent 'Chippy' in Castleton, along with numerous shops selling the unique Blue John jewellery.
The views from Peveril Castle are worth the walk up to it [Castleton gets its name from the Castle].
There are other local attractions, but I'm sure they are mentioned elsewhere on here.
On the downside,a few of the reviewers [on here] have mentioned the proximity of the local cement works, but quite frankly, it's never bothered me, as the works are hidden from the site by trees.

We have been to this site 3 times now and we love it, all the facilities are very good, even on the bank holiday weekend the place was kept very tidy and the toilets and showers were kept clean. The showers are excellent with plenty of hot water (without the push button affair some sites have)
There is a very nice pub just on the entrance to the site and another in the village of bradwell itself along with a good park for the kids and a nice sized coop to get supplies.
This is now one of our staple sites and we will be back again soon.

We've been here a couple of times and the more we go there the more we like it.
Some of the pitches for tenting / caravanning are sloping. The motorhome pitches we've been on however have been pretty flat. The toilets are between 50/100 yards away depending on where you've pitched, They are clean and functional and the showers are always hot.
We like Bradwell, and as others have said its a bit of a lost gem, compared to Hope/Castleton.
That said we had a very pleasant walk to Hope and Castleton in the lovely weather in April, and this trip was better as we didn't break down this time!
Hope we may be able to get another visit in this year.

As first time campers we were not too sure what to expect but were very impressed with this site. The warden showed us to our pitch and pointed out where the loos etc were situated. The toilet blocks were clean and tidy, showers were lovely and hot, free too!Site is well taken care of and although the sound of the nearby cement plant is audible you don't really notice it.There were a group of noisy campers letting kids run around screaming til about 10pm but they left before lunch time next day so presume they were asked to leave!not much in the way of shops in Bradwell but the curry cabin is well worth a visit if you like good indian food!local chippy is pretty good too! There was a fab carboot sale down the road in Hope on the Sunday, got some lovely bargains there! All in all had a great time despite tipping with rain and we are now camping converts! Roll on our next trip!

Just got back from 2 nights here, the showers were the cleanest I have ever seen on a campsite! Also, lots of toilet rolls and soap, FREE HOT showers and a plug socket for hairdryer. So definitely going to be coming back.
We had lots of space but it was mid week, apparently it is busier at weekends.
Wardens were very friendly and lovely pubs nearby. The village has a spar shop so no problem to stock up with supplies.
Within 10 minutes drive is the gorgeous village of Castleton with caves, castle and Mam Tor to climb, and in the other direction is Hathersage with lovely tea shops, fantastic scenery and lots of rock climbers to watch.
I would definitely recommend this site and the area.

This was our first experience as novice campers and it was very memorable!
We booked the site late and turned up with a cheap tent and without a clue.
Whilst Bradwell is fantastic this site was a great initiation into camping, for a variety of reasons.
The warden didn`t seem to know who I was. We booked an electric pitch which he didn`t initially charge us for and we were stuck in the infamous plot 3, right in the corner next to the bins and water tap! I wouldn't have entertained it knowing what I know now.
The site has more rules than I have encountered and, having been told we had to be off site after 2 days, we were invited by the warden to stay a third!?
The toilet facilities are poor in comparison and some of the statics are so old that a number of those residents are forever using the touring facilities.
Oh, and it rained too!
However we loved it, we went on to buy bigger and better kit and I look back at Eden Tree with fondness!
