This site was clean and well kept. There are no alternative facilities when the toilets are being cleaned. Motorhomes must go to the other larger CCC Site to dispose of grey water. Close to Keswick centre and not far from a Supermarket.
Do not drive over the centre of the football pitch as you will be breaking the golden rule of the site. Good site overall.

We used this site as a base for visiting Keswick and the Keswick Beer Festival. It's location is ideal, being only a 5 minute walk into the centre of town and adjacent to the Rugby Club where the fesival was being held. A few minutes walk in the other direction brings you to nice park land and Derwent Lake.
The site is simply a football pitch with portacabin facilities block and water points. There's no electrcity points, but the site is an excellent, and cheap, alternative to the usually very busy Keswick CCC site. Pitches are spacious, flat and were perfectly firm while we were there.
A great site, will certainly return!

Spent one night at this site as we were luck enough to actually get a one-off pitch. The site is well-located for the lively town of Keswick, as well as Borrowdale and other Lake District locations. Staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were superb. Would love to return - if I ever manage to get booked up, as this is such a popular site!

We went to this site as we had been on the sister site of Keswick which is right next door and didn't need an awning (which are not allowed on this site due to council regulations). The site managers were fantastic as they all are at keswick C&CC sites cheerful, helpful and always ready for a chat. The site is mainly statics with a walk down to the lake (Derwentwater). Very close (2 minutes) to keswick town centre and all its attractions. Clean HOT showers, very clean site wouldn't hesitate to return if only for a weekend due to no awnings being allowed. The other downside is that if you book on-line the minimum stay is 3 nights. These are popular sites in a great town so if you want a pitch I suggest you book early!

This site is adjacent to the Derwentwater Caravan Park in Keswick, and is managed by the Camping and Caravanning Club from that site. It shares with that site the advantage of being within walking distance of the shops and amenities of Keswick It is a large field, no electric hookups, but has toilets and showers (portacabins, but of a very high standard). There are no laundry and wash up facilities, but the ones on the Derwentwater site, can be used. It was quite wet when we visited, but the field must be very well drained as it dried out very quickly when the rains stopped. Surprisingly no tents are allowed, but this is because for most of the year the field is a football pitch and the Council have stipulated the ground must be kept to a high standard, and that no tents are allowed. Units are sited along the sides of the field, and awnings are allowed. We would visit Walker Park again ; it is a quieter alternative to the larger nearby CCC site at Keswick, and is particularly suited to smaller units.
