We spent a weekend at Sacrewell as part of a group of about a dozen families. We had the part of the "Top Triangle" with the campfire hearth. The pitches were dry and level and there was plenty of space for all of us. The hearth is a big cement circle more than a meter across which works very well protecting littlies from accidents and providing a place for others to warm their feet. Wood is provided for the campfires.
There are showers and loos in the main block and in some farm outbuildings. They were clean and well maintained, though the showers aren't in the same place as the loos and washbasins. The showers were free with lashings of hot water, although two showers isn't really enough and there were queues on the Saturday morning. There is a drinking water tap near the groups camping area. The Elsan point was clean and modern. There are 10 individual pitches with EHU, these are close to the front of the main complex. The big attraction is to be able to visit Sacrewell Farm, the camping fee covers entrance to the farm and it doesn't work out much dearer to stay the night. The farm is delightful and there is plenty to see and do, particularly for younger children. The complex includes a gift shop (but no campers shop) and a cafe that serves excellent if rather pricey food. Peterborough is close at hand with all the attractions of a big town. The site is near the junction of the A1 and the A47 but there was very little if any traffic noise to be heard from my tent. It was lovely to be able to hear larks singing in the morning.

This was a weekend away for myself, my sister-in-law and our two young boys, on what proved to be the hottest weekend of the year. We stayed on the upper pitches that have EHU, the ground was fairly level, well drained and pitches were spacious. There was very little noise, despite there being a wedding party held at the function suite. Plenty of space for the kids to play football etc. Toilet and showers clean, if somewhat limited i.e. 2 showers, external washing up area. Chemical toilet disposal point was a little difficult to access due to building work. Farm shop sold limited provisions but I understand that they are planning to extend their range. It looked as though there was a lot of building work and improvements going on during our visit. Staff very friendly and helpful. Price was expensive due to entry into farm being included. We made the mistake of booking the Friday night and not being able to visit the farm as it closed while we were setting up. Farm site is fantastic, especially for the kids. We will definitely be going back this year.
