A great location for exploring the Chilterns and gaining access to the Ridgeway. The site managers are friendly and welcoming. There are red kites flying around the site - wonderful.
Although a CL site that takes 5 caravans/motohomes and then tents (space permitting) it had 17 tents there when we went! There were constant queues for the 3 toilets and 2 showers.
I'm sure it would be ok in a week during the school terms.

Excellent site. I agree with all of the positive comments above. There is a co op in the small town which I found to be expensive.
However there is a free car park in the town if you do not wish to walk. The town is in walking distance for most able bodied folk.
High Wycombe and Oxford are close by.
The showers were perfect and I used the microwave oven. The whole site was very clean and there was an abundance of wildlife to keep you entertained.
I visited the site as a member of the association of light weight campers and will definitely go again either with or without the club.
Although there were around 20 members on the rally field I never witnessed queuing for the facilities.
There was an information board with local attractions, pubs and restaurants.
Location. Best described as hideaway.
Facilities. More than adequate.
Value for money. Excellent.
Customer service. Very Pleasant.
Child Friendliness. My son got told off for wandering around their private gardens, however I agree with that.
Overall rating. Not only will I return. I may visit more than once a year.

Spent May Bank Holiday here having booked just the day before. Owners couldn't be more helpful even lending us towels because we had forgotten ours. Site was inevitably crowded (first sunny Bank Holiday since the ice age) and there were queues for toilets and showers at peak times. If site remained this full probably needs a few more toilets. Facilities were spotless, owners always on hand to help and good flat pitches. Red Kites everywhere. Excellent spot for walking and touring. Definitely worth a return visit.

We're regulars to this site. It's set back from the road down a long driveway. The main field has a very gentle slope but with plenty of flat 'platform' areas. Units tend to pitch around the edge, giving a very un-crowded feel. There is also a rally field and a smaller, traffic free, backpackers field with a picnic bench. The facilities are spotless and offer the free use of an electric kettle and fridge. There are 2 unisex showers (free) with plenty of room for drying / changing in each. 3 separate toilets, 1 each and 1 unisex. All have washing sinks and mirrors. 2 undercover wash-up sinks (free hot water and washup liquid). Queues are very rare for any of these. There are homemade cakes and crafts for sale, recycle bins and the onsite owners are very helpful and friendly. Located alongside the Ridgeway long distance footpath there is great walking and cycling from the site. Although very peaceful, you are a 10 minute walk to Watlington with 3 pubs (all do food to various degrees), a good chippy, Co-op and most of the facilities of a large village / small town. Great site.

This is a real gem for those who love the outdoors peace and quite and getting close to nature.
5 van C & C club site No Electric hookups fair nightly charges and with basic but adequate and very Clean facilities.
Even the washing up liquid is supplied.
Also electric kettle and Microwave for those backpackers and really great free showers big enough to share! 3 toilets with wash basins and with lots of free hot water.Covered washing up area and they encourage recycling too.
If you are into Rallies they even have a rally field which is separate from the main filed.
An added bonus is that the Many Red Kites in the area very often visit this site and can be enticed down and give a wonderful aerial display for birdwatchers to enjoy.
Great site run by genuine friendly people and they sell nice cake and jam/marmalade and crafts too.
Great walks round about too and the local pub is and supermarket is only a short less than 1 mile away .Oh and the fish and Chip shop is to be highly recommended.

We stayed in the rally field at the bottom of the site on a weekend in July; we didn't get to see the 'normal' pitches.
The facilities were adequate, and didn't get too busy despite a meet happening. There was a decent covered washing up area and a microwave. There's a small shop selling crafts and home made cakes on site.
Watlington is a short walk away and has some shops and restaurants. The pub closest to the site, the Carriers Arms, is very friendly and reasonably priced, with good views of the Chilterns. There's a narrow one-way system around the town, it might be a bit awkward if you're towing or in a large motorhome.
There are plenty of footpaths close to the site, a nice place for a weekend's walking. Will visit again.
