This site is adequate. We visited towards the end of the season, so there were plenty toilets and showers relative to the number of visitors. Despite this, the cleanliness of the facilities did not measure up to the best. The lady on reception is brusque and gives the impression of being efficient, however we didn't find her welcoming. The site is adjacent to both the A65 (constant background traffic hum) and some stunning limestone scenery. Austwick is a charming Dales village about 20 minutes walk from the site, and there is no shortage of hiking, for all abilities, in the area.
Would we visit the site again? We would probably investigate alternatives and only return if there were none.

Nice site but could do better. The facilities were adequate but combined toilet and shower rooms meant a lot of queuing even if you just wanted the loo which wasn't ideal with children. No soap dispensers or hand dryers.
The wash up room was just two sinks with only one tap and unfortunately only one plug. Also the cleaning of the facilities just couldn't keep up with the number of people on the site. Road noise from the A65 was quite bad particularly from bikers racing along the road.
There was a wedding on the site at the same time as our stay which probably affected the cleanliness and definitely the noise on the site. We may return but only on a less busy weekend and hopefully after the facilities have had a bit of a spruce up.

Wonderful warm welcome from the manager and her team.
10 showers - all with a toilet and sink in each - lockable door, underfloor heating, hot water, hooks, soft toilet paper, cleaned often during the day. This is a good number for the site - but the site does take over 400 people which it did when we stopped. There were queues from about 8am - 9am and the staff were also cleaning them then as well which didn't help. Being up at 6am this didn't bother me!
There are electric hook up points for some tent pitches.
Level ground, far enough away from the main road to dull traffic noise.
Also has bunk houses on the same site and these looked to be excellent value for money.
Bar on site - open at weekends.
Very dog friendly and the dog owners were far more considerate of others than some of the families with kids were.
We visited on August bank holiday weekend - we left early due to other families not taking a blind bit of notice of what their children were getting up to. We had footballs kicked at our tent and car, kids running and cycling that close to the tent that they fell over the guy ropes, kids communicating by screaming at each other whilst their parents took no notice whatsoever.
Lovely site, just would not visit at peak time.
Good location, lots to see and do in this area.

I had read a lot of good reviews about this site, however based on expectations being a personal thing Value for money wise this is a reasonable site.
I found the following.
First impression the lady on Reception was efficient but not what I would consider welcoming.
The toilet/shower facilities could be better in that the ones I visited were several cubicles, consisting of shower toilet and washbasin in each unit.
This inevitably led to queuing some users wanting to use just the shower or just the toilet, either way you had to wait.
A purpose built shower block or shower toilet block would be more efficient.
Noted the shower cubicles didn't have curtains resulting in the cubicle floor becoming quickly drenched.
In used each of the 2 washing up rooms one the Hot water was tepid, whilst in the other there was a makeshift unmarked hot water tap which was scalding.
There were a lot of what looked like Dalesbridge staff at various points in florescent waistcoats, which seemed to be assigned to directing people to the camping fields. I feel that perhaps their attention would have been better served making sure vehicles weren't abandoned pointing out into the access road adjacent the accommodation block, please note.
Taking into account this was a Bank Holiday and very busy, we were reserved a pitch which by luck of the drawer transpired to be some way from the toilet block. There was a gate making a short cut to the Toilet into the Dalesbridge grounds, however staff seemed reluctant to bring this into use as this wasn't opened until a couple of days into our visit.
I'm making an assumption that the particular field we were assigned to pitch on wasn't under normal circumstances used much by Tents, as there seemed to be sheep excrement all over the grass.
On the plus site the general site location was good. The local town Settle was in easy reach, tried the Golden Lion Pub for food, which clearly couldn't cope with the demand for food orders told couldn't order for 30mins then told it would be an hour, staff exuding 'a take it or leave it attitude.' Needless to say hunger creeping on we left it and visited went to a cracking little Indian takeaway restaurant off the main street up an alleyway opposite the pub.

Spent Aug Bank hols there and YES thank goodness it was well drained. However can't say the same for the sheep muck which eventually caked everywhere on tent, groundsheets and clothes. The facilities were OK, albeit you had to wait for showers and toilets, the cleaning was satisfactory considering the wet muddy boot marks that were being left. The bar was good, warm, dry and had some nice real ale on tap. However the biggest complaint had to be the BAR toilets which were constantly blocked and overflowing from the Fri that we arrived until someone had sense to close them permanently on the Sunday PM. Would we go back, yes undoubtedly regardless we would. The owners and staff were very good and there local knowledge excellent. The surrounding areas are beautiful and I recommend the walk to Malham the road across to Horton in Ribblesdale (lovely tea room by railway line in Horton itself)
The pitches were flat and well surrounded by stone walls, but even the heaviest wind wasn't prevented as we had a restless Fri and Sun night due to the forecast heavy gales.

Just returned from a visit to Dalesbridge. The campsite is set in stunning surroundings. Being bank holiday the showers were extremely busy. Not having a separate toilet block means we were queueing outside for ages. The shower cubicles are basic. No hand wash in the toilets and nowhere to dry your hands. The showers were not hot when we used them. No toilet paper either. Advise to take your own. The hot water taps in the toilets in the bar did not work at all. It is a site with really good potential - just needs a lot more maintenance work.

Dalesbridge came to our aid when I was trying to arrange a camping weekend away of 4 x two man tents and one motorhome. No-one in the Lake District appeared to want us, but the people at Dalesbrige were really friendly and accommodating, with the 4 little tents and the motorhome which needed EHU all being able to pitch in the same space.
There was less road noise than I expected from the A65 and you couldn't see it from our pitch. However, we were woken in the morning by tractors going along the little B road down the side of the campsite.
We were in an adults only field which had loads of space and loads of groups. The people next to us didn't appear to go to sleep all night and were playing music into the small hours but after a few pints of the local Wainwrights and some ear plugs we crashed out. More noise in the early morning with people getting off early to go hiking. There was a good atmosphere on the adults field, felt a bit like a low key festival. There was also a big dog walking field which you could use to play frisbee/ball games. Families with children were on a separate bit of the site with signs around to be quiet by 11 which seemed like a good way to manage different needs.
Didn't have to queue for a shower and appreciated the emergency portaloos which were perfectly clean. Hot water seemed to run about around 10 then be back on again about 11 so time your showers! Didn't use the washing up facilities or the bar.
We went to the Game Cock in Austwick for tea on the first night which we enjoyed, decent food and beer. Some of the group went back on the Saturday night and enjoyed the pizza!
Although perhaps I wouldn't go back when it was just my OH and I, if we were going with friends again I would definitely recommend it.

Just returned from 2 nights stay with small tent. No pre book and met by friendly staff who helped with all questions and supplied us with local map for walk. Toilets etc clean and showers worked well. Would go back if in this area again. Weather has been rain rain and more rain but the site held upto the downfall. One pub in walking distance but a bit pricey possibly so went in car to Settle, no problems and loads of choice.

Good location, ideal for Ingleton, Hawes and Settle etc.
Good family atmosphere on the site as Dalesbridge planned the pitches appropriately for people who had kids by putting them together on same field. Our kids thought this was great as there lots of other children to play with. Was noisy by the way of kids having fun but all quiet by 10:30 - 11:00 which was ideal.
Site shop was limited, not much on offer at all.
The toilets and showers were separate cubicles each containing a toilet, shower and hand basin. Some were quite dirty and needed a very good clean but others were ok. I think there was about 10 cubicles in our field which were ample even though the field was quite busy.
Wash up areas were good, with plenty of hot water.
Overall, I would return to this site although it can work out quite expensive if only staying for a couple of nights as you have to pay £10 for an awning regardless of the length of your stay. Obviously this works out as being cheap for longer stays.

Spent one night here as part of our Gold DofE expedition.
Lovely location for us, though could have been slightly secluded for anyone wanting entertainment.
Facilities excellent, the showers were clean and even seemed to have heated floors! Washing up block large and indoors, which was a bonus. Drying room spacious and efficient overnight, even with very wet kit and boots.
Very reasonable prices, with a discount for DofE which was appreciated.
Shop seemed well stocked and fairly priced, though we didn't actually use it.
Staff were friendly and helpful, and came down to the campsite immediately when we raised a problem.
