A lovely quiet campsite. Nicely spaced out hardstandings, we've got a campervan. The site is slightly sloping so if it rains alot, like it did in August!!, you don't need to be at the bottom of the site as it gets very muddy. We moved further up the site and had no problems. The toilet block was carpeted (clean carpet) and they were spotless. The owners check the tolilet and utility block morning and night to make sure its clean and there is enough toilets rolls. Good site for walkers and families, 4 miles to Kendal which was brilliant. The only thing downside was it wasn't in walking distance to a pub, so when you've finished walking for the day and you want a couple of pints you had to drive. (Well there was a pub/restarant on the main road but it was a good 25/30 min walk. I would definatley go back to this site.

Lovely site run by family. Ground can get very boggy if it pours down with rain non-stop, had to leave couple of days earlier due to that. Toilets and showers are kept very clean, There are chickens which the children are allowed to feed. Nice dog walk next to a river.
In the right place if wanting to go and explore the Lake District.

Small peaceful family run site. Slightly sloping ground. Everything you need on site. Toilets are carpeted and have 2 showers (20p each). The washing-up sinks are inside and the area is carpeted, the washing machine and tumble dryer are also in this area. Electrical hook ups are available. There are no real playground facilities just a small slide and climing frame (little tykes sort of thing) but this suited my daughter and myself as we like the quiet life!! Would recommend to anyone who prefers the small and peaceful sites.
