We stayed over the weekend and had a wonderful time! The field is well kept and the pub is great- really friendly, very nice food (at a reasonable price too). There is one toilet/ shower for the men and one for the ladies but these were clean and well maintained. We went down to Wooky Hole (not a place for Adults - very kiddie orientated) - took about an hour to get there and cost £11 per adult! Other than that, a very enjoyable weekend. Would definately come back!

We stayed here as part of the UKCS meet. A small flat site close to canal walks. The pub offers a good selection of meals and often has live bands at weekends. There is a small play area for children in the pub garden. The campsite is at the back of the pub through a fairly narrow gate way. The showers (2) and toilets (2) are in a Porta cabin and although not state of the art, perfectly adequate. This is a fairly basic site but we found it perfect for our needs and for exploring Wiltshire.

When we were there The Three Magpies, it wasn't that busy, we were many tin-tenters, we doubled the number of tentsthere. The site owner Don is nice, though my OH spoke to him mostly. There is only one toilet for each sex. There are two showers with largedressing area's, they have a bit of mildew but that is because there is no ventilation.
The grub at the pub is very good, the sort of meals you would expect ina pub, X with chips, well cooked and well proportioned. The boys in ourparty had the most ginormous stakes (bigger than the size of an ordinaryplate!). Puddings were also yummy.
If you walk to the end of the campsite there is a hole in the hedge, ifyou go through here and follow the footpath you can get to the canal. Alternatively you can go back out to the road and follow the road to Seend which goes right next to the pub garden.
I would recommend the American Museum near Claverton, which is a manorhouse, you walk through each room which is decorated in a particular ageof the development of America, there are also lovely grounds and abeautiful view over the valley. Also Croften Pumping Station near GreatBedwyn bank hols are steaming weekends check their website for dates (http://www.croftonbeamengines.org/) and is well worth a visit, thestaff are friendly and will to answer as many questions as you can throwat them. The pub grub at the pub at Wilton (I think it is called theswan) is great.
Devises can have very heavy traffic but you do get a good view of theWadsworth brewery! Also get at sight of Caen Hill the longest flight oflocks on the Kennet and Avon Canal 29 locks in all but you only see themain 16 that are close together.
There is an Asda and a Tesco in Trowbridge, a Sainsburys? at Devises, aSomerfield and Sainsburys at Marlbourgh however when coming from thecampsite side of Marlbourgh you won't see any signs of either, you comedown the high street and as you come out the other side there is a miniroundabout, you may see the yellow sign to the right which is the Somerfield but to the left you won't necessarily see the signs for Sainsbury but it is there!
Over all a great campsite.

Nice small campsite, very friendly and helpful. Excellent food and drink at the pub (especially the challenging 20oz steak) Very quiet, and close to the canals. Seemed to be mainly caravans, but still plenty of room for tents. Toilets and showers nothing special, but clean with hot water and open all the time. Excellent value at £6.50 per pitch per night.
We had a fantastic weekend, and would happily recommend it to anyone.
