I have just read the previous review to this and have to say, in a nutshell, what they have wrote is pretty much what we would have written.

It was our first Euro trip too, we went to Paris & Disney and ditto to literally everything!

We had a great time, met some lovely people, enjoyed the cheap Rose wine ! (from local supermarket called 'Simply') and loved the privacy of the huge pitch (surrounded on 3 1/2 sides by hedgerow).

The ONLY thing I didn't like was there were no chairs/beds around the pool, so you had to chuck your own over the hedge (or take thru the showers), my kids are only 6 & 9 so not really young enough to leave around water so had to shlep my chair up to the pool. But I am just being a drama queen, it wasn't so bad :)

I would definitely recommend taking your bike as there is a great circular route (about 5. 5 mile) from the campsite entrance in a huge circle - and you get to see the real French countryside.

There is a small launderette on site too.

I'm just wondering - did we meet the previous reviewers??

Anyway - to summarise, this is great for a stop over or a week/10 days chill out, would definitely recommend.

We are a family of 4 with two children aged 7 & 11. This was our first camping trip outside of the UK and we were quite apprehensive, initially booking only 5 nights. The booking was easy and confirmed by both email and post which was re-assuring. We were also not asked to pay anything prior to arrival.

The campsite was easy to find, although the actual destination was not located on our sat nav, however we could see the hedging from the park from the nearby road.

On arrival the reception was very welcoming and helpful. We were taken to our pitch and given lots of useful information.

The site was lovely and we extended twice staying 9 days in total. We used the train to Paris which took a little longer than expected but was quite straight forward. Cost around £40. 00 for 4 of us but the tickets could also be used on underground and buses.

Disneyland was great and we got there in around 20 minutes. We bought tickets from reception and the cost was the same as those available on the internet at home. We arrvied home late and the owner was around to ensure the gates were opened.

The facilities on this site were great. Better than some I have experienced in UK on more expensive sites. There were plenty of toilet/shower blocks and well maintained. We saw them cleaned at least twice a day. The pool was cold but very nice and clean. The kids loved the ping pong and play areas and felt very safe.

We purchased croissants and bread daily from the mobile van between 7. 30 and 11 each morning. We also ate twice in the cafe on an evening and the food was lovely.

There was free wi-fi although you had to be at the reception to use it, it was helpful to check for essential info and book a ferry.

The site was quiet on a night and very family orientated through the day. There was a good mixture of families from UK, France and Netherlands around our pitch which was huge. We had a very big 8 berth tent but still had enough room for tables, chairs, BBQ, etc. And for our son to play football!

There are supermarkets within about 20 mins drive from the site which we used frequently for food and drink. There was not much within walking distance but we knew that from previous reviews.

We would definitely return to this site and are already planning our trip for next year.

Stayed at this site for 9 nights, after friends recommended it to us, as a first visit to France, well what a lovely experience this was, we were meeted and greeted by fantastic host Agnesand team lovely helpful team, once confirmation of the booking was exchange the ladies got onto their bike and you followed them to your pitch, our's was no77, it was big enough for 4 caravans(truly), the showers were great, excellent play area for children, if you have bikes take them as area is flat and you can bike for miles and miles if you want to, on site the pool was excellent, although a lot of people are saying on other reviews (Pool Cold, well water is cold isn't it?)pool was fine I had to get in myself it was that hot and was worried after all the negative comments WOW what a relief lovely refreshing pool, only criticism was we bought blow up toys for pool and a gentleman asked me to remove them as they wern't allowed (I should have read the rules at the entrance!)anyway their is fresh bread from the local boulangerie, gorgeous HOT Bread 90 cents, they also sell milk Euro1. 2, also as dusk falls a little van opens up, selling freshly cooked chicken, pizza's, drinks etc at reasonable prices, which was a relief after the driveing and setting up, non of us fancied cooking, also on a couple of night's a musical artist turned up for a sing along which created a brilliant holiday atmophere, the camp site was full but quite at night honest no rampaging lager louts here, we went to disneyland Paris but bought the tickets off the French euro disney site Euro35 for the day (You need 1 form of proof of family name ie passport at the entrance to park for this) rather than pay euro57 at the gate, from campsite to disneyland is around a 25min drive, once there parking in the Chessey Marne La Vallee train station aprox (40 second) walk to entrance of Euro Disney price 11 euro for 11 hours parking how convenient!, also don't forget to take euro adapter for your EHU, nearset shop/supermarket about 13 min drive, if you plan to visit paris the nearest train station is about 15 min drive which provides free parking too, for trips into Paris 48 euro for family of 4 which this covers all Metro trains and buses, did all the touristy things, Eifeil tower, Moulin Rouge, George pompidue centre, Notre dame, The louve, sacre coure, etc lovely day, Euro disney was great weather 31dgr HOT! water taps are situated around the park, so you don't have to buy bottled water when hot etc, fantastic for kids, but be warned not all rides suitable check height requirements as my children didn't make every ride and were dissapointed, anyway on the whole brilliant time had by all, would I go again, you bet roll on next summer WOW!

After a very tiring journey we were met by very friendly staff in reception. We were given lots of information by them and given leaflets on lots of interesting places to visit. We were escorted to our pitch which was very large and had water. The toilet blocks were large and clean. The swimming pool was quite small but shorts were allowed to be worn, which is unusual in France. We visited Disneyland Paris whilst there which was about 20 mins away. There is free wi-fi near reception and there are benches and tables to sit at to use this facility. There is a bar/cafe 'caravan' which sells many different foods which can be eaten at an outside table or taken away. There is fresh bread, milk, butter etc available every morning. This is a site that we will be returning to.

We stayed 3 nights at Des 4 Vents and it's a lovely site. We only really used the campsite to sleep at night due to being out everyday. The pitches are huge and well spaced out with hedging. There is a children's playground, table tennis and a swimming pool. We didn't use the swimming pool. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful, they advised us to drive to Tournan train station which is approx 10mins away and park for free when visiting Paris. We were even given the gps address for the station. The campsite is excellently located for Disneyland approx 20 mins away. We found the campsite to be quiet at night despite people coming back from Disney late at night.

The toilet and shower blocks are clean, but you'll need to get your toilet paper which is situated on the wall before you use the toilet. We didn't experience any problems with the electric hook up. Each morning from 8. 00am - 10. 00am there is a bakery on site.

Most people have said it all before, this site is fantastic!

The biggest pitches I've ever seen, you could have got at least 3 caravans on ours, well kept and nicely spaced. With water and power.

Toilet/shower facilities very clean and tidy.

English speaking staff very friendly and helpful.

Great playground, our boys 7, 6 & 6 loved it, although we spent the majority of our days in Disney. We were there for only 5 days and after being so busy at Disney we actually felt disappointed that we had not been able to fully enjoy the site itself, thus we are already booked to go back next month!

The open air food area is excellent and not too expensive (unlike Disney! 2nd mortgage required!) and even serves draught beer which when arriving from a long drive on the first day was very welcome. Baquettes from the daily visit of the bread lady is the way to go for lunches.

Found the site to be very quiet in the night, no loud music as there's no club house or any of that nonsense. Situated on the edge of a quiet village but within very easy reach of the main roads. One note for TomTom users, mine took us on a slightly different route to that shown on the site's info. It looks a little worrying when you turn down it as it appears very narrow and goes over a level crossing and through a wood, but it really is no problem.

We visited with our 3 kids 5, 8, 11 early Aug 2011 in our tent. The English speaking staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. 4Vents is a lovely, relaxing site with a good mix of Tents, Campers, Mobiles and semi statics. The site is nice and quiet from 10pm which suited our young kids. There were some vehicle movements upto midnight as people returned from Disney but not really a problem. The Pitches were Huge. The facilities were very clean and plenty of them in 3 well spaced blocks. (don't forget the loo paper as you enter the block. )

Plenty of washing machines etc. But no irons.

The on site open air cafe was very handy in the evenings (however get there early as it often sold out of some items by 9pm. The food was fairly expensive but the drink was even more so. The mobile shop had a good selection in the mornings. The surrounding area is rural woodland and cornfields and we had a few afternoons out cycling.

The nearest supermarket is a good 15min drive away as the site is fairly secluded.

Very handy for Disney about 25 mins drive and tickets can be bought from the site.

The pool was clean with no loungers and was very cold, not really suitable for young ones as there is no shallow end so my kids spent most of the time hogging the steps.

Free Wi-Fi was available around reception.

I can only endorse all the good comments about this site. It is absolutely lovely. Large, private pitches with water and EHU, although the electric does trip easily. Friendly, helpful staff. Bread van (7. 30 am - 11. 30 am) does excellent baguettes and croissantes. Milk, juice, cheese, ham and butter also available. Snack bar does really nice poulette and frites. Got very busy at night (open from 5. 30 till late) but staff were great.

Only stayed for 4 nights as used this site as a stopover for Paris. Wished we stayed longer as our next site in the Vendee was very disappointing. Did the Champagne tourist route - excellent day out. Visited Epernay and Reims. (Mercier, Tattinger, Veuve Cliqout, Moet and some smaller houses). Some have to be booked. The best tour was Mercier (which was recommended by 4 vents staff). Even the children enjoyed it as there's a little train ride through the cellars. Most larger houses you have to book before you go (Veuve was 4 weeks in advance). Quite disappointed with this tour - too formal and the Champagne was only a few pounds cheaper than that in England. Site also within easy reach of Disneyland (15 - 30 mins depending on traffic)so you can stay for the fireworks and arrive back late, the gates were still accessible onto the site so didn't need a key or have to leave your car outside the site.

The pool is freezing but clean. Never used the toilet/shower block but had a look in and they were well maintained. Overall an excellent site to visit, we will definitely use it again.

This was our first time abroad camping and we stayed here for twelve nights. It was a fantastic site massive pitch with a tree for the kids to climb. We had pitch 132 down near the swimming pool but far enough away from the noise. My guess is the longer you stay the better the pitch. It also had a tap and electric per four pitches. No problems with the electric but we did need the adaptor. It made me laugh to see some of the continental cables that our Euro Friends use. The facilities were close by not like British pitches where you have to troop half a mile to find water or even a toilet. The camping and Caravan club have a lot they could learn from this site.

Essentials to take with you are toilet roll, handsoap and a washing up bowl. I cannot believe how many people did not wash their hands with soap and water after using the toilet. You need to be aware you wash your teeth with warm water as only one temperature comes out the taps in the toilets. Don't be put off by the lack of toilet seats as they are the wide rim porcelain hygienic type. Its more of an issue in the mens to take toilet roll to wipe them than the ladies. Men wee on seats.

The play area was very good, plus an indoor area with table tennis (bats and ping pong balls are required) and table football (ball required) and there was a boules area which has locals playing on too.

The staff were excellent and spoke English if needed but we always try the French language. The baker was there every morning even weekends and sold the usual French breads and pastries plus milk and some juices. The bar cafe cabin was brilliant and after a long day it was good to have a meal and drink. Pricing was reasonable too. They do spit-roast chicken with chips or salad. It was yummy.

The only downside was no shop for just in case stuff. The nearest supermarket was in Fontenay-Tresigny about 5 miles. But Carrefour was 11 miles towards Paris, ELeclerc in coloumiers. They have weird opening times and not Sundays.

We went to Paris for a couple of day trips and we parked in Tournan En Brie. Railway parking was free and loads of it. Mobilis for adults and Paris Visite for the kids. 40 mins later we were in the centre of Paris. Make sure you pre buy your Eiffel Tower ticets online or wait for two hours.

Euro Disney is what it is but the best place to park is in DISNEY VILLAGE. Its cheaper at 8 euros and closer than the main car parks. Plus it is multi storey. Take a mortgage with you when in Euro Disney.

All in all it was a fantastic site and I would go there again without hesitation.

This is a lovely site with very friendly staff, who speak great English!

The pitch was extremely large, with hedges on 3 sides which made it extremely private. Each pitch had its own water and electric supply.

There was free WIFI at reception, with a small bar which was open at night for eat in or take away food as well as drinks.

Pool was nice, but there were no loungers and kids weren't allowed inflatables or balls in the pool, which was a bit odd. You also could not get into the pool area to watch, unless you had swimwear on as you had to go through a shower, which switched on automatically, on entry. However, there was a covered area with seats which looked into the pool - no good for sunbathing though.

The site was perfect for visits to Disneylad - 20 mins by car, or Paris - 10 minutes to the railway station and trains every half an hour, which was appprox 10 euros return. Fontainebleau was also fantastic to see, as was Provis.

Loads to see and do within a short distance of the site.

Amenities were very clean and well maintained.

I would highly recommend this site to anyone wanting to visit Paris.
