Visited this site on an 11 day tour round Scotland. My first impressions were that it was a nice site. After meeting the owners we were absolutely impressed. They are the nicest, most helpful and friendly people you will meet on any site.
The views are spectacular and the facilities are modern, warm and sparkling clean.
If you need any advice on the area Ian & Julie are a mind of information.
To summarise we loved loved loved this site and cant wait to go back later in the summer

Not for families - adults only site!
This site has a new very clean toilet/shower block but because of this the owners feel they have to be constantly watching you, especially families. They also give a 1/2hr tour after you have driven 10hrs to get there. Also, all children under 10yrs old have to be supervised in the toilet/showers which can be restricting especially as our children like to camp due to the freedom they normally get.
The site rules are numerous and have to be adhered to with no leeway, if you do they speak to you like children!
It is not a holiday site for chilling and having fun with your family as we and other families were constantly watched and reminded of the rules.
The prices are double everywhere else (as we found out from some friends who stayed elsewhere)- you are paying for the toilet/shower block. It is not worth it especially as other sites are friendlier and more relaxed plus this site does not have direct access to the beach.
This site almost put us off this area which is spectacular and well worth a visit and does have friendly locals elsewhere. I would strongly suggest if you are a family to avoid this site.

A beautiful site run like a military operation. The constant supervision by the owners is overbearing and intrusive. Pitch your tent exactly where they tell you, ensure you know the exact size before you book, extra charges everywhere, no ball games, toilets that are locked constantly and monitored to the point that you feel uncomfortable. The prices they charge are extortionate compares to other sites in the area and they are certainly not welcoming. We have camped all over England & Wales and in 12 other countries, this was our first visit to Arisaig & it put us off Scotland completely. The only saving grace was we had friends staying at other sites up the road. The area itself is obviously popular as all the sites were busy and it is indeed a beautiful part of the world but we would not return due to the totally officious nature of the Sunnyside owners.

2nd visit to Sunnyside and loved it even more this time round!
Facilities second to none and very well thought out with maps, covered areas, microwave, recycling, local tourist and shop with tourist items and local produce.
The owners were friendly and helpful as always and work so hard to ensure facilities immaculate.
Beaches fantastic, sunsets spectacular and local eateries very good particularly Rhu Cafe.
Rock area now cordoned off as deemed unsafe for children to play on and no other play areas available though personally we find this an attraction rather than a negative and maintains the peaceful ambience of the place.
Some of the pitches on a slope and you require rock pegs for awnings though Iain has worked really hard over Winter improving pitches.
An absolute haven and can't wait to get back.

We have just returned from a fantastic week's holiday at this lovely site.
The site itself is immaculate with large hard standing pitches, plenty of room for car, caravan and full awning leaving a nice patch of grass at the front for our dog. The views from the caravan were amazing and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets every night. Showers and toilets were always spotless and warm. There is also a separate family room and disabled facility.
There are long stretches of white sandy beaches with aqua clear water. Lots of outdoor activities for all ages. Also very peaceful and quiet if that is what you were looking for.
The owners, Julie and Iain were very welcoming, showing us around the facilities, and providing lots of useful information to make the most of our stay.
We felt that the cost was reasonable and reflected the high standard of the site. Electricity is paid for via a card at the hook up point. We used £5 for 7 days.
We enjoyed a lovely meal at the hotel just a short walk away, again a very warm welcome, whether you were there for just a drink or for dinner. This has to be one of the most beautiful areas that we have ever visited and we will be back very soon.

Excellent site, excellent facilities, excellent outlook. I do not think I have ever experienced such a comprehensive briefing from the Site owner. Everything was explained and a thorough tour of the facility was given in the most friendly manner you could wish for. The entire site is a credit to the owners who have carried out most of the work themselves. The view across to Eigg is spectacular.
Although we only stayed for one night at Easter on our way to Skye we will definitely be back.
I particularly like the metered electric supply, much fairer.
Heartily recommended.

Most helpful and welcoming reception at this wonderful site. Very new toilet block. Great views over beach to the islands. The beach is a walk of about 2 minutes and, is great for dogs. It will also be great for children as it has beautiful White sand and many rock pools.
The pitches are slightly sloping and the owner lent us blocks when he saw we did not have these. The electricity is extra and we paid £2. For two nights and did not use it all. A small price to pay for such a good site. We will be back!

Second site on our 2 week tour, this was a site we wanted to visit 2 years ago whilst in the area but it had not been opened in time (still under construction), it was worth the wait!
Very clean and modern facilities block which caters especially well for campers with free use of fridge/freezer and microwave and covered area to sit and eat/socialise.
Great views to the west for sunsets from spacious hardstanding pitches.
We only used the site as a stop-off this time before boarding the ferry to Skye but will defo return for a longer stay.

This is a great site with excellent facilities.
The pitches are hard standing and whilst not on the beach the views of Eigg and Rhum are great.
The toilet block is very clean and there is plenty of hot water.
There is a motorhome service point at the entrance to the site.
We didn't use the shop on site but it has the basics plus local produce.
If you have a bike the road to Arisaig or Traigh is not busy, it used to be the main road to Mallaig but a new road has been built thus the road outside the campsite is quiet.

Yet another glowing review. Facilities are fantistic, showers and toilets the cleanest ever. The first time I have not taken own toilet roll, just in case! The owners Julie and Ian, worked really hard all the time to provide a really nice environment for everyone.
Views from the site are spectacular, what a way to start and end the day, and spend the day if you want to.
When you arrive you are heartely greated and shown where to put your tent. Strict adherence to fire regs were apreciated, but 6+ paces canvas to canvas is not for everyone. To me it didn't feel cramped but for some it might.
We wanted good facilities, views, and a friendly site and that's what we got, hairdriers which work included in price need I say more?
It was quite windy one night there, the owners put up upto date weather and shipping forecasts every day. Thats the kind of attenation to detail which makes the experience so good.
The only potential downsides for some people might be, distance from resturant, a good county mile. We were close to the toilet and shower block and also a hook up point, the light from this didn't bother us, but it might bother some people.
As well as the pay as you go wifi I had no problem using Orange prepaid data which was fast and helps if you are trying to book ferries etc.
We loved it and would happily return year on year.
Thanks so much for such a good time.
