Upon arrival Karen and I were greeted with a warm friendly smile from our hostess, after a guided tour of the amenities and directions for the dog exercising area, we were offered a tea or coffee while we pitched our tent. The site was clean, tidy with plenty of room to move, the toilet/shower facilities was ideal for us and the finishing touches made it feel homely. Our dogs were welcomed and had some wonderful walks around the area. We recommend this site to anyone who wishes a peaceful/restful holiday with the sounds of the local wildlife and farm around you. Unfortunately for us our Greyhound George did not want to come home and sulked all the way back to Northampton.
We are looking forward to our next visit to the Nurseries

An absolute gem of a site. Small, friendly, spacious. Nothing too much trouble, tea, coffee & cake on arrival. Spent 4 nights here and booked for two weeks next year. Toilet facilities are spotless.
Dog friendly with a good exercise area just off site. Local chinese, indian, will deliver to site. Pub 5 minutes walk away. Plenty to do in surrounding area, beaches, birdwatching etc. Roll on next year!

What a little gem of tranquillity locked into the heart of the east coast.
We were made very welcome by the lady owner who met us with a very welcome cuppa and a slice of home baking, great after the mornings travel.
The site is quiet, just what you need to relax and unwind, with views over the farmland with no traffic to spoil the peace and quiet.
Our dog Charlie was very welcome and enjoyed the walks and made a great friend in the owner's springer George, ball chasing was the end of day treat for both dogs and us all.
This is a great site that is only going to improve with the dedication of careful owners that make your stay even more than you have experienced before. See you soon.

Stayed for 4 nights.
Very pleasant campsite, quiet and out of the way, peaceful great no kids.
All pitches had large amount of space.
Toilet block portable cabins but will be upgraded soon.
Campsite owners were excellent greeted with cup a tea and a slice of home made cake.
If you are a dog owner it's the place to stay, nice dog walking area next to the site. As long as your pooch is well behaved you won't have any problems from anyone.
Enjoyed my stay
Would use campsite again.
Great value for money.

A beautiful site, on the edge of a working farm. Idyllic and very peaceful that seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, but once off site very close to lots of attractions and beaches.
Great hospitality on arrival with a welcomed cup of tea and the offer of cake. Even invited to attend a party for one of their regular guests and made to feel very welcome.
Toilets and showers clean and although locks on couple of doors didn't work, never actually encountered another guest in there.
Plenty of information on things to do, and would definitely recommend the Chinese take away in Alford and the local pub which is less than a 5 min walk away. Both pub grub and service very good.
There was the offer to use freezers on site for ice packs, was lent a electric pump for beds and they checked if we needed electric cable for the hook up. Had a fantastic time but due to distance may not make it back for regular visits but would definitely recommend this site and have done.

Spent two weeks on this quiet and lovely site.
Great hosts, very friendly and would help in any way, even look in on our wee dog who was not well due to hot weather. Spent a few nights in the local pub, good food and staff very friendly. Ideal location quiet but close to all you need shops, food, beach, etc.
Toilets and shower very clean, tons of information and nice ice cream in the freezer.
Offered the hardstanding at the same price as grass but decided to pay the extra for the because of the very reasonable cost for having water and drainage on pitch.
Who recommend this site to anyone who wants a lovely quiet break in great location.

What a lovely and peaceful site! We enjoyed our stay very much.
We arrived June 4th in heavy rain, but we are from Holland, so we are used to that kind of weather;-). Karl welcomed us with a cup of tea and home baked cake. Lovely!. (Dianne had a flu) Used the hardstanding pitch, with drainage and water. The toilet facilities are spotless.
We love the area and it really was 'paradise' for our Golden Retriever Baco, who had the time of his life there.
We recommend the site to anyone and we will tell the Dutch about The nurseries. We'll certainly be back. Thank you, Karl and Dianne

We were greeted on arrival by Karl and Diane, and their friendly dogs (do throw the toy brought to you by the lovely springer spaniel!), offered tea or coffee and given a choice of pitch. We were also offered help pitching the tent if we needed it (we didn't by the way).
The ground was rather soggy but this is by no means a fault of the campsite. We all know why the hosepipe bans have been lifted! The pitch was level and we were afforded shelter from the blowing gale by some large trees.
The facilities were spotless. Quite some achievement considering how wet it was outside. The shower was very spacious and modern, plenty of hot water and a curtain that actually stopped you soaking the rest of the cubicle. Soap, hand towels and toilet roll were all provided. Exceptional value.
We managed an 11 mile circular walk from the site, to the coast and back again. Lovely countryside, a great beach for dogs to run riot on and most paths were clear and way marked.
A quick pint at the local pub in Mumby helped us recover from the walk. Again, we received a very warm welcome. Even though we were drenched when we arrived (as was our dog), we were ushered in and looked after. We returned on Sunday for a roast dinner. The food was lovely, home cooked pub grub. An enormous plateful cost only £5. 95 and kept my husband and I full for the rest if the day.
There was no hurry to leave the site on our final morning, and again were offered assistance with the tent.
I would highly recommend this campsite to others. It's exceptional value for money and has the friendliest owners we have come across.

Just came back from 6 days at this site lovely quiet + peaceful site. A lovely couple that run it are very helpful and will always have a natter to you, and are very good when you mention something that would help with their improvements. Thanks for the coat hooks, look forward to seeing them up next time we come.
Toilets and showers very clean separate room for pot washing with information on things to do, plus chinese takeaways and lots of information and photos of what they have done to the house and site.
Lots to do but it takes time and money to do it, but they will get there in the end

We have just spent Christmas week at this truly lovely site and I can only agree with the other reviewers comments. the owners Dianne and Karl were very friendly and welcoming and put themselves out to ensure we had a good stay. they had erected Christmas trees with fairy lights outside each toilet block, snowman toilet paper and we even had a visit from Santa!
The site is perfectly situated in the village of Mumby, within walking distance of the pub and with plenty of good walks in the immediate area for our dog. Alford is about 4 miles away and has some really nice shops to browse around and also has various take-aways, we had a Chinese delivered one night and it was very tasty indeed.
Just 2 miles from Anderby Creek (where we walked the dog on Christmas day) and a short drive from Sutton on Sea which also has plenty of shops and a lovely beach.
The facilities were spotless and had lovely roomy showers, and there is loads of local info in the washing up room.
This is a new site only opened this year and I cant believe how much they have achieved in so short a time, there are lovely views from the field, and they have planted trees dotted around, which when they have grown a bit will make this near perfect site even better.
We will certainly be returning.
