various We have visited Pear Tree on several occasions and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quiet site. It is clean and tidy and the owners are very friendly. The only drawback is that at certain times of the year, not sure if it's High Season or just August the minimum of nights you can book is 4 so if you are looking to go away for the Bank Holiday Weekend forget it! They did let us book 3 nights but only once and that was probably because we booked two pitches, so it could be worth trying.

Sept 2002 The site owners were friendly and welcoming. Not having stayed on a mainland site before I did not know what to expect but the toilets and showers were absolutely spotless (don't even ask what I expected!) and didn't even smell of well - you know, toilets! We had an electric hook up aswell - so that was a new thing too. The area where the tents were (actually - we were the only ones there!) was lovely - quite wooded and very peaceful. The shop sold basic stuff at normal prices. Yes I would recommend it as a site and hope to find some more like this.
