7/5/04-9/5/04 Trust us to pick the wettest weekend of the year so far lol! The field was pretty muddy and water logged in places, but hey British weather!! The site itself is very nice, run by very friendly people. There is a nice children's paly area with 2 large slides and a pirate ship for the young ones and their imagination's. The lake on site is pretty big and you can have a nice stroll round it and feed the ducks etc. At the side of the resturant/bar there is small sandy area for the kids to play in. We didn't eat in the bar, but the prices were reasonable and the food looked nice. Could perhaps do with a few more showers as there are only 3 in the block, but saying that, we didn't have to wait and they were hot and free. One thing they don't tell you about is that when you arrive at the site you have to pay £3.00 to get through the security barrier, which is not refunded. There are a few shops in the village but if you want serious shops then Nuneaton is only 10 miles away and has everything you could want including Asda & Sainsbury's. I would visit the site again, but hopefully when it's dry.

4 times a year We live quite close to this site, and find it excellent. There is a good play area for the kids, as well as a large sand pit and cordoned off area of water that serves as a 'beach'.
The owners are very friendly, and tolerant of barbeques etc - even if you only go for the day to watch the water sports.
The showers do close for quite a long time for cleaning, but at least they are being cleaned! One earlier post said that they were full of surfers - we haven't found that, as there are number pads on the toilet doors, and the numbers change each time you go.
There's also a large field you can play football etc. in, and a recent addition was a bike track, which was a great hit with the kids!

May 2002 Went in tent rather than caravan, site level some shade, very windy good for sailng but not for camping, in a tent. May have changed now but when we went the toilets were closed from about 9am to about 10.30 am for cleaning, the showers were being constantly used by wind surfers for changing ect,and the showers were comunal apart from that not a bad site. Will probably visit again. Can get good meals on the site, Some good take aways in Market Bosworth.

July 2002 Visited site to test out new tent as it is relatively close to home. Although we arrived late and it was busy, found a reasonable pitch easily enough. There is not much to do here unless you are into water sports. Market Bosworth is close but a testing walk due to the lack of path. We found the site noisy and boisterous but the staff were very helpful, particularly when we discovered our gas regulator wasn't going to work. Altogether not bad for £8.
