Just returned from our first visit(as we were visiting the Shepton Mallet outdoor Leisure Show).
Sorry we can't really comment on the toilet/washing facilities. As we didn't need to use them but the people on site were friendly and the site is really handy for a walk into Glastonbury, 10/15min. On the walk in, we came across Knights fish&chip shop, which we would recommend. It has a separate licensed resturant out the back, which had a roaring fire. It also served proper 'cloudy cider'!

First visit to this site and will be going back again. Appears to be a family run site and everyone was very helpful. Even other campers were polite and exchanged good mornings. Toilet and shower facilities very nice and clean. Didn't hear the Cockrell but did hear an Owl both evenings.

We go to this campsite all the time and I absolutely love it. The grounds are always well-kept and pretty and the shower / toilet block is modern and always spotless. There is always loo paper and handwash. There is a room for washing up, which also has tumble driers, freezers and irons / ironing boards, and two family rooms with baby change facilities. The people are always friendly and remember you when you go back. One slight criticism is that the bin area need to be emptied more often. Glastonbury is a very unusual and interesting place and I am drawn to come back year after year.

The site is well situated on the edge of Glastonbury town within easy walking distance of all amenities. There are hard standings for touring vans and an open field for tents. The toilet facilities are excellent with good size modern showers etc. There is a shop which I didn't visit so can't comment. Slight criticisms on the site are that everything is a bit congested, (we're used to caravan club sites,)the tent field looked quite boggy (although it has been a wet summer).
It's a pricey site. We had 2 adults, 2 kids, and touring caravan with awning and 2 small dogs. Total per night a whopping £23.00. We had originally thought it was £21 per night but the following day we were told that the awning would cost another £2 per day which I agreed to pay before we left.

Had read mixed comments about this site so was in for a lovely surprise when we arrived. Wardens helpful and friendly, toilet blocks and showers spotless and the site well looked after with gorgeous hanging baskets. Short walk into Glastonbury. Will be returning again soon.

This is a truely wonderful site. Clean and tidy with very well appointed facilities. The washrooms are spacious and well kept as well as the entryway with its great flowerbeds. The paths are clearly marked although the lighting is a touch treacherous on dark nights. All in all the site is a wonderful place to stay. This has been my experience at the site for the last few years and this year was no different with one sorry exception.
The pitches for tents are unmarked and having two thirds of the field closed off caused chaos with the various campers being very tightly packed in with no firebreaks and cars parked left right and center. As previous stays have been much better I am assuming this is a one off but something to watch out for nonetheless.

We really liked this site. Although she was obviously very busy, the lady who runs the site was very helpful and after initially pointing us in the direction of the tent field - where we had arranged to stay and were happy to go to - she went after us and allocated us a hardstanding which was very good of her as she could have sold it to someone else who needed electric. We were parked right opposite the resident healer/psychic lady who also seemed to work on the site and act as dog warden, pointing people in the direction of the exercise field and so forth. The loo area was clean and always well stocked with paper; let's put it this way, I usually won't venture from our Thetford but was happy to use these and taking a little walk around the site, wherever you were they seemed nearby! The showers were massive, five in the ladies, water lovely and hot, couldn't fault them. Another plus is the barriers to stop unwanted vehicles getting in.
The walk into Glastonbury itself only took 10-15 minutes and was a level walk too, ideal for wheelchair users and so forth. Head back by road towards the roundabout, there is a side road for pedestrians and a crossing to get you around it, then follow the road on your left around to the right and into Northload Street which takes you right into town. There is a taxi rank by the monument if you can't be bothered to walk back. If from there you head away from town and the main street for a couple of hundred yards or so and cut through some newish houses on your right, you'll find a Morrisons for supplies, although the campsite does have a licenced shop and does take away food.
We had a very pleasant stay camped under the trees and have plans to take the van away for the New Year.We are considering seeing if we can get in here.

On arrival, very helpful and friendly.
Site was really clean and well maintained, washing facilities were great the showers were big and roomy with lots of hot water, also everything was clean and toilets were always full with toilet paper which was nice to see. There was washing machines & tumble dryers, also freezer for all your frozen food / icepacks etc.
We camped in the tent area with our camper van but not a problem, site is totally flat, ground soft enough to put pegs in for awnings etc and grass really soft underfoot.
Noise was normal for a campsite. We only stay for one night and didn't need hook up, but there seemed to be plenty of hookup points. Also there was a shop all though didn't use it, so no idea about useage. A point to mention is music etc was asked to be turned off at ten o'clock.
For eating out, a good amount of resturants to eat at and plenty of pubs which done food, all a ten minute walk away. Infact this is a good, well situated site, no need to use your car as everything is at walking distance or bus journey away.

We stayed on the site in a campervan on one of the hard standings (it cost us £15 p/night for two adults and a van). The site is very well organised, very well maintained (with plently of trees around the site and beautiful hanging baskets around the entrance and toilet block facilities).
There is a shop on site - very well stocked and the toilet and shower facilities are excellent and very well maintained. I think there was also a pot-wash and laundry room (although I never used it, so can't be sure). Water and rubbish points are also never that far away.
The site was quiet when we went, there was a lot of tourer caravans on site - but most appeared not to be in use at the time.
The campsite is only a 10min walk from Glastonbury town so is in a good location. There is also a lovely footpath not far from the campsite which follows the canal, if you fancy a nice evening walk.
I would definitely go back to this campsite, couldn't fault it regards facilities, atmosphere and location.

I have just returned from this site, having spent a weekend there and I have to say it was just wonderful.
Glastonbury, the people, the tor! All exquisite!
The campsite was spacious. The shower blocks and toilets were extremely well kept. An extra plus was the large freezer in the 'washing up' room.
And the cockerel, well, it provided just that little more atmosphere you want when camping!
