This is a well kept site with good shower block and toilets kept clean. The two 14 year old's got a bit fed up at times because there were no other kids on site their age. The adults themselves enjoyed the wkd with the ever so friendly campers. Toilet block is a good walk away from the pitching tent areas but I would definitely recommend this site and will most definitely visit again.

Spent two nights at the campsite. On the whole, the site is excellent with excellent facilities. The location to Callander and its associated bike routes is great. Two things the campsite should attend to; First, the site badly needs an entrance gate that gets locked in the evening! On the second night of our stay one of the local boy racers came in the site at around midnight, driving around fast, tooting his horn, not good! Secondly, I would welcome the warden making more frequent trips round the site. One tent party had a party until around 1am, with all being drunk and being abusive to the other campers, not good! Hope these remarks make it back to the site manager.

Not a great experience at this campsite. Owner very gruff and unfriendly and tent pitches limited to one area of site, quite a distance from toilets - not great when you have young children. The campsite is basically a field. We had real trouble pitching our tent due to all the stones and rocks in the ground. As for being in Callander - it's actually quite a distance from the town and is certainly more than a ten minute walk from shops & pubs. All in all, disappointing. We planned to stay two nights but left after one and I don't imagine we'll return in future.

Just spent 2 days at this site. Very quiet and laid back. We got to choose our own pitch next to the shower block which was very well looked after. Lots of good walks for the dog around the site and very handy for the shops and pubs in Callander. All for £12 a night.

Excellent site, plenty of space and very flat. A bit of a walk to toilets and showers but you got used to it. Once you get there you can leave car and walk or bus into Callander or walk to pub 10 minutes down the road. Only drawback is you cannot book just have to take chance but there is a lot of room, owner and wife very nice.

Stayed with wife and 2 kids for 2 nights. - arrived mid afternoon Friday and more or less had my pick of the best sites to put it. Slowly filled up during the day. Check in was very quick and easy - As others have said - not much info given by owners but its not hard to fathom out where to put a tent and where to go to the toilet is it !. Toilets were spotless and the showers were the same - I am fussy about these things but had no problem in using these ones. It really is a nice quiet clean and friendly site. Put your Tent on the Left and you will be shaded from the evening sun by the trees. Put it on the right and you will miss the early morning sun ! and also have the sound of the water in the stream running all night. it really is six and half a dozen. Callander is a lovely place with many Ice cream shops, A christmas shop - and other souvenir shops - Also a place to feed the ducks - many bars and restaurants too. There are no childrens playgrounds or the like on the Camp site - But we did visit the Gart Caravan Park over the road one night who have a small shop and a kids adventure playground. - The kids enjoyed this. All in all having visited another local site in Strahyre 'Immervoulinn' I would definitely come back to this one first.

A very nice site, clean and tidy. Could do with additional toilets due to location being so far away - not so bad for myself but if your pitched at the top end of the site as we where and had a young family it would be murder. Staff on booking in did not appear to be very friendly (we never even got told where the toilet facilites on the site where). Liked the fact that there was hairdryer in ladies loo makes life easier if you dont have to carry additional stuff. Dont know if they have a small shop again when booking in was not told anything about that sort of thing. A nice walk into Callander if you cant go to far at a time you can make pitstops via the local pubs. In all I would go back again

Very nice and clean. Nice and friendly welcome. Great Showers and very clean. Great views only 10min walk into calender and a nice walk at that. WE WILL BE GOING BACK. My 13 year old son thought it was great watching the lambs running in the field next to the site. Well worth a visit

June 2004 This is a nice campsite within a short walk of Callendar, well kept with good washing facilities but I regret to say that it is not entirely welcoming. The guy at the wardens house was rather gruff when booking in and when blowing my nose with some tissue in the toilets I got "have ye no got a hankerchief?". Not what I would call friendly, and enough to make me go elsewhere.

June 2003 We have spent two weeknds here and had a great time - make sure you arrive early in the evening Friday as the site can be very busy - in my experience I havent been allowed to book a tent over the phone - just told to "turn up and see". Nice bike rides and pubs (with ceilidh bands usually) and hotels with dancing to the small hours walkable to Callander - sustrans off-road bike route to Strathyre well worth doing and not too strenuous (first stretch suitable for kids).
