This is their first year for caravans and motorhomes and already shows great potential. The hard standing pitches are huge and very easy to park on.
Each pitch has hook up and fresh water and satellite tv and there is a large lawned area behind to sit or play on. Tents were mainly on one area. It has a lovely feel to the site and we visited twice. The pitches obviously need a few finishing touches at the edges and the toilet and grey water emptying is rather a long walk away.
The toilet and showers are new but there is no mirror or hairdryer or plug in the ladies. As I said its early days and none of these little niggles got in the way of a lovely stay.
Beware you don't miss the site entrance as it has another name on the board and only says campsite - this is due to be corrected I was told.
This is a lovely spacious site set in the pretty village of Fort Augustus with the Caledonian canal and Loch Ness and we will definitely visit again.

'A location like no other' is the advertising slogan, & for once, the advertising tells the truth. This is without doubt the loveliest & best site we have stayed at. If you want Blackpool Pleasure Beach or Alton Towers this not the place for you, but if you want peace, beauty, tranquility & a warm welcome, then Loch Ness Caravan Park is just the place. Stunning scenery, roomy pitches, spotless facilities (the best kept shower block I've ever come across), all within striking distance of local shops & facilities, with beach, fishing, food & drink on site, & warm, friendly folk (both owners & staff) made this a place we didn't want to leave, & we'll definitely return. Thanks to Bob & all the team, you made this the highlight of our holiday. The kids loved it as well. See you soon!

This has excellent views across Loch Ness, however, it is not child friendly. The play are is closed and has been used for the construction equipment for the new lodges built at the end of the site. There is no area for tents.
The showers and toilets, although limited, are very good.
The beach area is small. There is hardly anywhere to walk your dog either. We did not enjoy this site and they demand a minimum of 2 nights stay. Yes, excellent views, but no fun for the kids or dog. The bar is ok, though the food choice limited and meals are not served on a Sunday night.
If you are only adults without a dog, then you'll love this site.

This was on paper a beautiful site, with a children's play area and magnificent views. It did boast views that no other campsite had along this loch, but to be honest it was a strip of tarmac with pitches being made out of gravel. As previously stated, there is one shower per block, for the whole campsite. The staff were fab and bent over backwards, however the owners wife listened to a complaint that our electric wasn't working. She said it would be sorted. We went out and came back to find it hadn't been fixed and they had unplugged us from working electric on another pitch for the whole day. We had to buy more milk etc. We went and complained to the male owner, no apologies. Oh and there was no park for the kids, they had taken it down to put in rental lodges!

Spent 3 days here in June on our tour of Scotland.
Our pitch was Loch side with wonderful views, but difficult to reverse onto. The staff were helpful and pleasant.
Site was probably only about half full on the days we were there, and the clubhouse was closed. Toilets and showers were adequate, but that view would have changed had the site been full.
We, too, ate at the pub in the village and found the food there good.
We would go there again.

For - What fantastic views across the loch.
Clean site all hard standing.
Against - Showers, only one in each block, if being used in the mens block and the ladies started using there ones, the mens would stop running and just trickle down the wall and my wife said the same happened the other way round.
Site was full except for 2 spaces, when we enquired about the bar and food we were told the site wasn't busy enough, so they wouldn't be opening, this was mid June.
This was the dearest site we stayed on and the motorhome in front of us parked side on and completely blocked our view of the loch, and nothing was done about it.

Facilities average and adequate. Fresh water, hookups, dishwashing area, waste dump, toilets, shower and laundry. Everything was clean enough.
The site is a narrow strip of gravel and tarmac, no grass area. A small area of pebble lochside beach, nothing like the One Mile advertised.
Neat and tidy. Restaurant closed, even in late May. Covered smoking area.
At £20 a night this was the most expensive site we visited. Adequate but sterile and uninspiring.
Invermoriston, a mile up the road, is a small village worth a visit - we enjoyed our meal at the hotel, but didn't have time to see much else as it was late evening.

This site is set on a narrow strip with good views across Loch Ness and is about 1.5 miles from Invermoriston. The price was £20/night. The new hardstandings on the side nearest the loch have a substantial slope. Even using double ramps we could not get the van level. They only had one toilet block open despite the site being busy. The bar was also closed. The toilet facilities were clean but a bit dated. When we wanted to empty our waste tank the following morning we were told that they did not have a waste dump point.

After a very long journey was dismayed to find it raining so hard, we could not even see the loch. But once we were up and running on a very hard floor, the rain eased and we saw the views we had come for. The site is very basic but very friendly and the club was wonderful. Met some lovely people, and due to the weather we missed out on the midgefest. I would recommend this place to anyone, but definitely come prepared. We will be back!

Site is right on shore of Loch Ness whch is fabulous the scenery changes by the minute and is absolutely breathe-taking. The site warden Murdo could not be more helpful a local lad with a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding area.
The facilities on site were poor. Only two showers available for the whole site which had upward of 50 tourers a night, there were no meals available and had not been for months and the bar was expensive and very limited in what it sold.
There was also a lot of building machinery lying about the site. New chalets being built which could explain for the run down of this very pretty touring site
