 Sorry to say this must be the poorest site I have been on. We turned up for a bank holiday and left 8 hours later facilities are terrible the toilets discusting, the water point and waste disposal right next to each other.
The pitches were unclearly marked and very uneven.
I can see why when everywhere else was full they still had spaces - all in all a big let down and it ruined our weekend

We stayed for a week at half term with our two girls, aged 11 and 12.
We were on the large touring field with an adjoining play area which consisted of a rope slide and not much else.
The club house was very small for the size of site but building work is underway on a new one incorporating swimming pool etc.
The club staff were polite and friendly and although we arrived at about 8pm, the security staff had our documentation.
The emphasis is on attracting more statics so tourers will have to put up with the facilities as they are. Cleanliness of the toilets and showers was not an issue but 4 showers is inadequate for such a large site.
The beach is across the road and you can walk along the beach into town.
The town of Withernsea has a largish Tesco and 2 smaller supermarkets, loads of takeaways and a very good leisure centre incorporating a swimming pool and gym. Further afield is Spurn Point nature reserve but don't take the dogs, they are banned!

Seathorne is a site set right on the cliff top if you are on the east side of the site. You can pitch your tent overlooking the sea and on a clear day the view is fantastic. The shower blocks are close to you,only 2 mins walk away. The tent pitch eastside is on a mound overlooking the rest of the site, the lighthouse can be clearly seen from there. On the opposite side of the site (over the road) there is a nice club and shop. That side of the site also has tent and caravan space, although mainly for electric points. A great place to visit from most parts.
