After 4 days of a 7 day holiday we went home, in 50 years of camping we have never gone home early. We couldn't stand the noise all day, loud music, kids running through your pitch tripping over guy ropes.
The owner couldn't care less, she shown someone to their pitch by pointing and saying its down there I cant be bothered to show you. We were greeted with "i don't know where I'm going to put you because people have decided to stay an extra night" we ended up with 2 6m tents in one pitch it was so over crowded as to be dangerous.
The next pitch was so close I couldn't put the guy ropes out to peg down. The toilet shower block 1 male toilet and shower 1 female toilet and shower and 1 mixed for 200 + people that were cleaned early morning and that was it.
Trying to get a shower was a joke. The washing facilities were not cleaned full stop. With covid you would have thought the site would go the extra mile to keep things clean. The bins were overflowing when we arrived and still not been emptied when we left, there were dozens of bin bags that couldn't be put in bins piled up at the bins.
The site itself was unclean all the raised flower beds had not been touched for years they were unkempt and full of weeds. The grass around the seasonal pitches was cut near the vans and under the vans was left to grow wild.

This site was level. But I was disappointed in many things. The toilets during covid were still only cleaned once with no system for social distancing. The chemical toilets were disgusting and was over filling every day. We had to take it home as well as our recycling because there were no facilities.
The electric was a string of extension lines off extension lines so wouldn't trust it if it was cold and heaters were on. And nowhere for the kids to play so they played around everyones pitches.
Just seemed way too many pitches for the facilities.

Just returned from 3 nights (Spring Bank Holiday) in Nine Acres Camping Caravan Park. After reading previous reviews we were looking forward to a nice relaxing holiday.
Facilities -Very clean and tidy but no privacy. Ladies toilet felt like sitting in a understairs cupboard! Separated from hand basins by a flimsy door so anything other than a quick wee and everybody can hear you. Also nothing available to dry hands. Ladies showers- shower cubicles with shower curtains but you then need to dry off and change in a communal changing area unless you can manage in a wet shower stall. Mens shower (1) had no shower curtain and external door is lightly frosted glass so no privacy at all.
Whilst informed about entertainment on Sat night (which we enjoyed listening to from the van)there was also loud music Friday night too which only stopped at around 11/11. 30pm due to power cut but then noise still came from the marquee until way past midnight!
Electricity. Or lack of it ! Power cut across whole site Friday night til Saturday morning. Owner put this down to people using their heaters as it was a cold night and melting the main fuse box. Saturday teatime again complete power cut on and off for best part of an hour - owner this time blamed inconsiderate people (her words not mine!) using microwaves and cooking appliances.
Saturday night at 10. 30 power out again all night until mid morning Sunday. Monday morning (which by now site was half empty) again entire power cut which owner now put down to someone using a George Foreman grill to make their breakfast. Beware if you are not equipped with the most basic of appliances ie gas stove/kettle etc you will probably get the blame for blowing the electric for the whole site (have they no circuit breakers ??) even though you have paid for a electric pitch.
Owner (Sandra ?) -When we first met she was very nice and friendly. Until you have a complaint!. This opinion is not only mine but seemingly shared by the many others I spoke to during our stay. No apology or discount was forthcoming for the electric debacle but admittedly she did refund me £15 towards food that was wasted in the fridge/freezer due to the electricity AFTER I told her I wasn't happy with the situation. Even though she was quite sociable to me others in our party also voiced their complaints tidily to her and were treated with the most unbelievably rude attitude.
All in all it is a lovely site for location. If you don't mind basic facilities it should suit you fine. Facilities and the park itself are kept clean and tidy as far as we could see (we ended up using our own facilities mostly). In quieter times it would probably be fine but not on a Busy bank holiday when it feels too many have been booked in and power supply simply cannot cope with the demand.
Definitely not the quiet, relaxing weekend we were looking for and unfortunately we would not ever return here or recommend to anyone.

Just returned from spending 3 nights over August Bank Holiday. The site is quite rural but wonderful if you simply want to chill. We rode our bikes down through Mod land to access the beach.
We also took motorhome off- site to go to Pendine. There are no shops or pubs in walking distance but this meant for a few, very laid back days on site, reading and soaking up the calm. Sandra, site owner, is extremely friendly and organised live music for the bank holiday Saturday as well as a buffet.
The facilities were perfectly adequate and constantly kept clean despite the site being full. Weather was glorious which added to the enjoyment.

Thank you for a lovely stay this weekend. We camped in our campervan with electric hook up and awning. We used the site as a base as we were at the Laugharne weekend.
The owner was helpful and so kind giving us two bottles of wine! The site was quiet and very clean. Showers were great as were toilets. Immaculate and all with heating. A good walk into town but the owner recommended a taxi number and this was excellent service.
Would definitely recommend and stay again

We visited this campsite over the bank holiday weekend. The site is rural and at least an hour's trek to civilization, however the walk is beautiful with areas to stop and enjoy the views over the estuary.
The site was very quiet with only a few other fellow campers. The showers and toilet block was basic but clean and comfortable with heating. The site owner was very friendly and offered advice and assistance when needed.
There were clamping bell tents available as well there. Look forward to our next relaxing stay at this site

Have just returned from a 3 night break at Nine Acres over the bank holiday period. The site was everything we wanted. A basic site with plenty of space for the children to play.
Very quiet lanes around to walk and the children could use their scooters on. The showers/toilets were basic but all in working order and clean. We recommend the Italian in Laugharne for dinner, beautiful food and very welcoming.
We will be returning to this campsite.

My family and I spent 5 days camping in tents this august 2012, there where 13 of us with three tents. My overall impression of the campsite was lovely, clean, safe and quiet. The owner was very helpful and pleasent. We found the campsite had reasonable prices for peak season.
There are good road access to the nearby towns and to pendine sands beach.
The only place I wouldn't suggest to go to eat is the cross inn in Laugharne. This is because the first plate of food came out and we had to wait 35 minutes for the last two dishes which was pate on toast and chicken. So we all ate at different times this ruined our family meal.
I would camp again at this campsite in the near future.

Stayed at Nine Acres recently and found the site to be well laid out and grass kept to a sensible length. Mrs Flaxman, the owner, was very friendly and helpful and greeted us with a warm welcome.
The site is handy for Pendine sands, however, it should be noted that access is restrcted by the MOD but this may be changing in the near future. There is good coastal walking and, from the site a beautifll circular walk to Laugharne. Pendine, Tenby and Saundersfoot are only a short drive away.
The only things we could criticize is the Shower/toilet block and although kept clean and tidy it has seen better days and is desperate for an update. A information board would be very helpful - Bus timetables, supermarkets, doctors ect. Shower block aside we had a lovely holiday and hope to return in the near future

Going on previous reviews as 'basic but clean' I pre-booked this site for 5 nights. It was a good way away from Laugharne's pubs and wonderful fish & chip shop. This site was situated in open countryside without shelter or protection.
There were 34 grassed pitches with EHU around the perimeter of a very large field, with 2 unstable water stand pipes in the middle. At the top of the field stood the Amenity Block, which as a whole could only be described as neglected and dirty.
This consisted of 1 ladies toilet, 1 gents, 1 unisex, 2 gents showers and 2 ladies showers, with one small stool between the 2 showers. The shower curtains displayed extensive mould and many of the tiles were chipped and/or cracked.
The building was small and old with a corrugated roof, and reminded us of past loose boxes for horses. There was no soap in dispensers and no means of hand drying. How fortunate we had our own facilities! For this we were charged £100 (£20per night).
Never too old to learn, we will in future inspect facilities before paying up. If I were a Site Inspector I would certainly de-list this one.
