We bought this on EBay a few years ago as it was fairly local and the owner had hardly used it. The canopy is an excellent idea and prevents pools of water collecting as in tents with front doors which hang up. After proofing including seams not a drop of water ingress. I agree about the lack of places to hang lights.

The canopy is a place to cook and eat which is an excellent idea.

Slight niggles as a lack of zip across the bottom of the door and the bedroom could do with being six inches longer as our beds only just about fit.

My wife and I bought this as it bridges the gap between the small dome tent we use for weekend fair weather camping and the large tent we take for longer trips.

The Coleman Pamandi 4 appears to be exclusive to Go Outdoors and there may not be many about now. We bought ours in May 2011 and it was the last in the shop. We got a further 50% discount on the already discounted price as they couldn't find the canopy. Since we already own a Coleman canopy it wasn't a problem!

The Pamandi is basically a blue version of the Coastline Deluxe, but with simpler windows (the Coastline has mesh windows). There is plenty of space for two or three to comfortably sleep, four at a push especially if one or two are kids. The living area is quite large, certainly enough for the same people to all sit around a table and not worry about bumping the sides of the tent. There should also be enough space to stow clothes and things. Indeed I would say a family with small children could use the Pamandi for a week or two's holiday.

Pitching is fairly easy to accomplish with just three poles. If there are winds I would advise making use of all the guys. When fully guyed it is quite stable in high winds. Our tent was waterproof in rain except for the front door flap as mentioned by other reviewers. I think I shall invoke velcro for the next trip.

The construction of the tent is quite good, the material is thick (though not as thick as our Royal Havana 6 - but that cost 4x as much). The poles are all fibreglass but are thicker than our dome tent (for which we have replaced the poles twice). The door zipper is good quality. It all appears very sturdy and stood up to considerable winds and some rain in our 3 night stay.

If you attach the canopy the available sitting area is more than doubled, and in light rain you will still be dry.

Overall this is a good tent and a genuine bargain. If you find one in the shop or second hand it is well worth considering. There may still be bargains to be had. We also found it rolled up easily and fitted easily into its carrying bag, which is the size of a medium duffel bag. The whole lot can be carried easily by one person.

As a single parent on a limited budget I bought this tent as I get back ache from tents not big enough to stand up in & this fit my budget at the time. As most of the other reviewers did I also bought this on special offer from Go Outdoors. The first time we used it my 13 year old daughter & I put up the tent & canopy and the heavens opened just as I was putting in the guy ropes. I got soaked but the tent didn't let in a drop of rain. After I got changed into dry clothes we then sat under the canopy watching the other campers scurry away into their tents out of the rain. Luckily it wasn't windy at the time & the canopy did an amazing job of keeping off the rain & allowed us to eat alfresco. We stayed for 3 nights at that camp site & decided we needed a wind break for a bit of privacy as well as keeping the wind off us. We have used the tent lots of times now and it has served us very well. I've read some reviews of this tent that say that the tent leaked, we have never had that problem & as we camp in the north east of England we have seen some pretty bad rain! The only time we had any issues was in high winds. The canopy must be taken off if the winds are strong, which we found out at 4am one dark morning. We quickly & quietly dismantled it even though we were both half asleep & the tent withstood the bad weather without further problem after that. We can have the tent up & pegged out in 15 to 20 mins in good weather, it is really easy. If you peg the doorway properly no draft gets in as people have said in other reviews. We have never had problems with dismantling the tent, the tent & canopy both have separate bags & packs down nice & small. I love going camping in our spacious tent, we use one bedroom to sleep in & the other for the 'stuff' & still have bags of space for a 'living room', so would easily accommodate 3 or 4 people. I would recommend this tent to anyone . But you can't have mine!

We are family of four with 2 small children. The Coleman Pamandi 4 served us very well. We were very happy with the size and the canopy that came free which gave us extra living space. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a tent at this budget but before you go camping in it, I would go over the seams with some water proofing. Excellent tent for money.

Bought as a weekend tent on the spur of the moment at Go to £100 we were initially very pleased with our purchase.

Put up and set-up quick and easy, lots of guying points to aid stability and the corner vents had good open/close mechs and extra ventilation via bottom of front door (yes it needs a peg to stop it being drafty, as very experienced camper, this is not an issue).

Space was good for what we wanted and liked having the canopy, though would rather the roof coverage was a bit wider, rather have to stoop (at 6.4 used to that) than have very little protection from drizzle.

All went well in rain and sun for 2 nights, tent had dried well before (with not a drop of condensation in sight) heavy rain started and soon the window seams started to leak.

Tent returned and to be honest would have had a replacement if they had had one at that time. As they did not moved on and went for something else with a larger budget.

Bought this tent (plus free canopy) for a good price from Go Outdoors. Needed something bigger as we were getting too old for a small tent which we could not stand in. Weekender tent my foot, we spent two very comfortable weeks (ok we are only a couple, and historically we are 'rough' campers) in this tent. We experienced extremes of weather from full sun to force 7 wind with rain to suit and the tent coped with it all. Unlike some very much more expensive brands, both in the family and mountain tent categories, which collapsed. Agree that the zip on the door would be an improvement if it continued across the bottom, hence the deducted point, but overall fantastic.

Being quite new to camping, only my 2nd season I wanted to upgrade from a pro-action tent what I bought as a sampler to camping. I bought the Pamandi 4 from go outdoors for a cracking price of £119 including porch.

My wife and I have 1 teenager and a dog so this tent is perfect for us novices and only take 20 mins or so (and getting quicker) to put up, another plus we actually found we could get all the tent and porch back in the bag without much trouble (this must be a first).

Although I did read some reviews about the potential issue with the zips but I found if pitched correctly you should not have a problem, although my dog did try to explore the area on his own by pushing through the gap.

Overall well pleased and would recommend to all

Bought this as a weekend tent in the offer from Go Outdoors £119.99 with the extra porch included. We didn't fancy pitching our Sunncamp Vario 600 plus for 2 nights. We had had a good look round a few before we went for this one the fact it has a sewn in ground sheet similar to our Vario swung it. A lot of the go outdoors cheaper ones are fly sheets over the top of the bedrooms.

The Pamandi pitched easily and the canopy went on without a hitch, very simple to add a good cooking area with a decent windbreak round it. 3 poles for the tent and two for the canopy. On a previous review it was mentioned there was no where to hang a light inside but we found that we hooked our light to the centre bedroom loop. Very handy. Plenty of room for our 2 kids for the weekend. Will be a bit of push when they get bigger but will see another couple of years yet. The tent got wet as soon as we put it up and there was no leaks. I did find I had to stick my feet out of the bedroom so the bedrooms must be a bit smaller than the vario.

All in all a good value weekend tent that I definitely recommend.

We were originally looking at the coastline 4 deluxe tent, and I was searching on the internet for the best deal when I came across the Pamandi 4 which is it`s predecessor I think. It was a £119 from GoOutdoors which included the porch. It is the same size but it`s in Blue and doesn`t have the new fan vent & snap windows which we weren`t so bothered about.

It`s so easy to put up with just having the 3 fibre glass poles. My partner and I find there is plenty of room for us two and we would say it would be ideal for a family with two younger children, it may be cramped with older children.

The issue with the door that I have read on other reviews (also on the coastline model as well) about the zip not going all the way round, we had no problems with securing it with the pegs, no rain got in & wind wasn`t causing it to flap.

Would recommend this tent and the new coastline model as well

Bought the tent for long weekend sessions in a bid to avoid pitching the Sunncamp Family Vario 6. For all intents and purposes the Pamandi 4 is son of Vario 6 without all the frills. Must admit though, having somewhere to hang a light would have been a bonus. Other than that a great tent. Usual teething problems with all new tents. Had to reproof all the seams but this can be attributed to the inclement weather we were camping in. Rain (stair rods) and strong winds. Despite this the tent held out extremely well and water ingress was minimal. Easily resolved with Nikwax. The tent being of sound construction was easy to erect. The zip on canopy is a must. Not only does it give you extra daytime space but once enclosed with windbreaks gives you another room. The door does not zip up all round but the bottom edge can be pegged at three points to minimise ingress. Would recommend this product to anyone who is new to camping because of its ease to erect and the quality of the build.
