This tent ticks all the boxes, loads of space and when it rains that is essential. The pods are massive, the living area is the biggest I have seen in any of my fiends tents. Needs two people to get started, but once the main pod is up, one can look after the kids and the other can put the tent up. It isn't impossible to put up on your own, but is dam hard.
A good buy, I think I got this on a clearance as they don't make it anymore, what a bargain, I paid £145 for it and its worth every penny and more.

Bought this at the end of last year in the sale so got the whole lot - footprint ground sheet and carpet.
Took a long time looking round at various other tents before deciding on this one.
Easy to put up - excellent in all weather - we have used it twice this year and each time we have had rain and not one leak - very light inside and spacious! - not sure why you would want to buy the Zenith 8 based on the size of the 6 unless you wanted to take an entire scout troop camping in one tent!
My wife finds this tent so much easier that the last to put up and she's only 5 foot.
If you see this on offer anywhere would recommend it -
We also had a Vango canopy from our old tent which fits perfectly and is worth going for as the front door does slope inwards which would be a problem without it if it rains

Picked this up in Go Outdoors for £129.00, think it was a clearance item, thought it was going to be rubbish for that money and how wrong I was, excellent tent with so much room, stood a few nights of rain and I even managed to pitch it in light rain and strong winds although it did take over an hour, I would have paid three times what I did now I have used it. Get one you wont be disappointed

We have been camping with this tent and the night we stayed the heavens opened and my god was it windy. I was waiting for the tent to collapse, it was that bad, but it really stood the test of time and it does go to show you get what you pay for.
We had a not so good tent before this one and it wasn't a patch on this one, it leaked and some of the tent poles broke and the material ripped with the bad weather. But not with this Gelert Zenith, its great if you are thinking of buying one go for it you couldn't buy better.
Sadly we have got to sell it now due to health problems and not being able to set it up. I will remember my wonderful holidays in this tent. Its great if I could give it a rating past 10 it would be a 1000 out of a 100 lol

Wow what a fab tent. We were looking for a bigger tent with a sewn in ground sheet and after reading reviews this seemed to fit the bill. Both of us are vertically challenged so putting up the main poles can be tricky. After four times of putting the tent up we have sorted it as my husband stands inside the tent and holds the poles up. It is then easy for me to insert all the three poles into the pegs.Once you have done this part the rest is easy. Our best time is 30 minutes! The inside of the tent and bedrooms are huge. We have just returned from a two week holiday in Devon and never once did we feel we needed extra space. The tent has withhold some strong winds and lots of rain and not once has this been a problem. I would strongly recommend this tent to any family looking for a good quality tent with lots of space. Go outdoors sell this tent under the name of hi gear our friend has one and it is identical.

This is the Tent of All Tents. Relatively easy to put up and the bonus of outer first means dry inner if pitching when wet. Comfortably sleeps and houses 6 people and has a great air flow system. Sewn in ground sheet means no irritating drafts or small visitor entry points and plenty of light from vents around the circumference. Very Heavy rainfall did not pose any problem what so ever and plenty of peg points and ropes keeps it secure even in the blustery of conditions.
If you want a cosy, secure place to sleep and camp with friends and family, buy this tent. The best I have ever owned.

Great tent a little tricky to put up and loads of pegs to put in but all the better for windy conditions, bedrooms are not the biggest but are only 2 berth per bedroom pod '6 berth' total tent but could accommodate more in the very large living area.
We had loads of room in our tent and it didn't let us down when one night it poured down and we didn't worry as the tent felt very secure and bone dry inside.
Some nice little pockets that fasten inside tent to store things in like shoes, mobile phone, camera, torches, etc etc. All in all I would recommend this tent to a family.

We have just returned from our fourth trip in 2 years in this tent and we have found it to be an excellent tent for our needs. With 5 children aged between 5 and 10 we have found the tent to have more than enough space for all of us, sleeping 3 girls in one room on a double and single air bed. Storage pockets are very useful for keeping kids bits and bobs neat and tidy, and as other reviewers have said there is more than enough space in the main living area for a table, chairs, kitchen unit and various holdalls and boxes for storage, without blocking bedroom doors or making it difficult to get around whilst inside.
Sewn in groundsheet a must when camping in UK. Our last 5 day trip saw at least 5 thunder storms and while outside was a mud bath inside was clean, warm and dry. Only 'wish' would be for a separate porch area, like the extensions I have seen in other ranges. Whilst it is possible to cook outside under the door flap when it is raised, an additional covered porch for storage of the kitchen stand would be good. Getting easier to put up and take down every time, and we've even mastered folding it small enough to get back in the bag! Think we'll get a third year out of this one next year before upsizing to cope with the growing family! Would highly recommend.

Used our tent for the first time 2 weeks ago in the worst weather I've seen in a long time torrential rain & howling winds.Took a while to get it up but once we where in it was very warm & comfortable. The next morning on wandering around the campsite I observed tents,air-beds,tables & all sorts of equipment thrown in bins. There also seemed to be a lot of people mopping out & fastening back down their tents yet the zenith had coped without even a single drip! Inside is incredibly spacious with enough room for a table & chairs, kitchen stand, shoe rack & large cool bag with enough space to still walk round comfortably. The organiser pockets come in very handy for tea towels, mobile phones, cameras etc.
The bedrooms are also spacious with pockets for pj's,books etc ,there is also a pocket to put the doorflap in when open making it less likely to tread on it & break the zip.The many windows make the tent very light & airy. All in all a fantastic tent which is very good value for money at the £219.99 we paid for it.Plenty of room for myself, husband & 3 daughters 20,10&9 and all the luggage the goes with 4 females!

Having just returned from our first outing in the Zenith 6 we can recommend it with absolute confidence. No water came in despite torrential rain on an already saturated pitch, the sewn in ground sheet was brilliant. Huge inside, we had a kitchen and table inside with room to spare. Handled 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 younger children easily. Light and airy with great windows, the Zenith drew positive comments from the other people with us who had Coleman and other tents. Practical touches like hanging pockets were useful and well designed. Only took about half an hour to put up, quicker than we expected. Minor downside was one of the zips kept getting caught, I think the fabric had been folded in the bag in such a way that it got in the way of the zip. This problem stopped after about a day or so though, so no big deal. I think we may add an awning on the front so we can keep muddy footwear outside overnight but this is no criticism of the Zenith. Overall, a fantastic, good quality tent which we're looking forward to using again soon. If you use reviews like this to help choose a tent, as I did, you won't be disappointed with the Gelert Zenith 6. By the way, I have no vested interest in any way and these are genuine views.

Manufacturer's Description
Although not having the brand cache of an Outwell Hartford or a Vango Killington, the Gelert Zenith's certainly tick all the boxes when it comes to quality and price point. The Zenith has a fully sewn-in groundsheet for a sealed internal environment and an external fibreglass frame to allow for flysheet first pitching. The fire retardant polyester flysheet offers 5000mm hydrostatic head protection. The other major features of these tents are the skylights (great for UFO spotting), multiple windows and hanging tent organiser pockets. The Zenith 6 features 3 large 2-berth bedrooms, although at 180cm wide and 230cm deep, they could accommodate 3 per bedroom, at a push. The Zenith 6 features a large 'J' porch doorway and a second, smaller 'J' door located behind the middle bedroom inner (which has a zippered access panel).
Other features include: Welded and reinforced polyethylene groundsheet; water repellent zips; electric cable access point; multiple ventilation points; pre-attached hi-viz guylines; 'slick sleeves' for easy pole threading; breathable polyester inner tents; 12.7mm, 11mm and 9mm fibreglass poles plus 2 steel porch poles.
Weight: 36.2kg Pack Size: 72x57x32cm Dimensions: (Outer) 780x720cm Height: (Inner) 195cm Colour: Fir Green/Frosted Green
