Good starter tent very large bedrooms 1 double airbed and 1 single in each very little living area space. Poles bend and snap on welded joints elastic snapped on first outing but cheap to replace. Leaks in heavy rain and condensation is terrible over the bedrooms.
We are a family if 5 so it is just big enough but now upgrading as I feel this tent after 3 outings has had it's day not good value for moey

I bought this tent second hand and it had only been used once, size - perfect for a small family - we are a family of 4 (Two little ones, the tent is perfect for this size of group. It stood up well in heavy rain - no wind. But does suffer from condensation badly in the front porch - which is a real pain!, with practise you can get it together in 20 mins after a bit of practise. The tent fabric is good but I really don't know it will last more than to years - poles are good and strong but 2 elastics snapped (easily replaced), groundsheet strong and good - zips good with no issues. The best bit is being able to stand up inside fully! godsend !

We bought this after reading all the good reviews about this tent. Sadly the tent did not live up to the reviews. Yes, it is a good size, but there is no way 10 people could sleep in this tent! The bedroom area was very roomy, but split by a flimsy sheet that does not reach the ground. Fine if you have kids, but not so good if you are sharing with friends. The living area is big enough for 3 adults and a small camping stove, but not much else. It would be much better if the sleeping area was smaller and living area bigger.
The worst bit - the tent leaked the first time it rained. The rain was only drizzle and not heavy, nor in windy conditions (we were also protected by trees). There are air vents on the top of the sleeping area and the water poured in. I hate to think how wet we would have got if the rain had been heavy. This is the second Argos tent we have bought (both ProAction) and both leaked on the seams. Pay a bit extra and get a decent make of tent. We bought this half-price and it is definitely not worth the £240 full price. To be fair to Argos they did take it back and give us full refund.

My mum brought my sister and I this tent when it was half price in Argos. We wanted to take our children camping but found lugging around 3 smaller tents was a pain.
We found this tent relatively easy to put up, it took us about 50 minutes to put up (2 adults and 4 children. Helping !) but after doing it a few times we can now do it in about 20 mins.
It didn't leak and has done us proud over the last year, we take 8 people when we camp, 3 adults and 5 children (aged 5 - 13) and found it was big enough. One good tip though, its easier to put 2 children onto one double airbed - the 10 people could fit in it but you would need to be laying on sleeping mats NOT airbeds.
The porch area is not huge, but is ample enough to put a camp stove and we were more than happy with it.
I know its not a 'fancy' tent but it ticks all the right boxes and I can't complain especially for the price. I wouldn't be put off buying another pro-action.

We bought this last year on offer at £99.99 and have used it 6 times, including last week when we experienced a lot of rain and high winds in the Yorkshire Dales! We managed to stay dry but we had to pull in the front groundsheet as water was collecting a little by the front door area. Other than that the tent held up very well (we had only experienced good weather on our previous trips!). We are a family of 2 adults and two children (3 & 8 years) and there is plenty of space, a big advantage is that you can stand right up in the whole of the tent. We have our cooker set up on a stand in the front porch area and there is just enough room for the 4 of us to sit and eat inside as we had to last week. It would be very cramped with 4 adults in the porch though! We will certainly be using for a few years yet.
I would follow the previous advice and not insert the yellow poles until you have the rest locked in place. It can be a bit tricky to erect and take down in high winds though!

Went on a weeks camp in Cornwall with this tent and it ended up ruining my holiday as I had to come home 4 days early as it leaked a substantial amount of rain into the tent which soaked my family's bedding and clothes. I believe this tent is discontinued now but if you do come across one buy a better quality tent from a reputable camping shop. Don't be fooled by the cheap price! I will never buy a tent from Argos again!

Fantastic tent, great value for money, easy to erect-take, down. Took a right hammering with the wind and rain in Cornwall in 2007 came through with flying colours! Would not want to share it with another nine people though, just me and the wife!

We bought this tent at Argos on a half price sale and having decided to take up camping 4 days before the bank holiday. Our garden was too small to have a trial run so it only came out the box at the campsite. It is slightly daunting when you first unpack what seems like acres of tent, but the instructions were fairly clear, and all the poles are colour coded, and matched to corresponding coloured bands on the tent. We followed the instructions exactly, leaving the yellow poles until last. We did have to get the two children (aged 3 and 8) to hold the green poles in place until we got the guy ropes up to stabilise it. Having heard all sorts of horror stories about trying to put this up with 2 people, we were worried that we would struggle, especially as I have a broken wrist and am thus, one armed. However, we had the tent up and everything in a made up in under an hour (just) without any major problems.
There is plenty of space and we had the room divider in. I would not recommend trying to squash in 10 people unless you know each other REALLY well, but there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The seating area was adequate and we had 4 chairs and a table in that space comfortably.
We had some wind and rain overnight, and then continuous rain the next day. There were no leaks or problems at all. We did have to pack it away wet, but even then it came down in about 1/2 hour and went back into the bag.
We would highly recommend this tent in these conditions and fully intend to get our moneys worth over the summer.

I got one of these last year when Argos had it in the sale at £99.99 and I set it up in the garden, I had the room. I found the tent easy to set up with loads of room to stand up in, I'm over 6ft in height. I would recommend this tent for families, but 1 problem I had with mine is that the living area at the front of the tent is a little too small and it would have been better if the ground sheet had been sewn in. I would have to agree that 2 people defo need to put this up. I had mine out in rain and wind, my friends caravan awning fell down twice during one night and I thought that the tent would collapse, but it withstood gale force winds, so hats off to Argos. I did order the plastic heavy duty pegs from ebay and they did help with the anchoring to the ground.

My wife and I have been gradually increasing the size of our tent each year. We went from a four berth to this, for the simple fact we wanted a tent we could stand in that had a sheltered living area.
Finding this behemoth at £99.99 looked like a bargain, and I was right. For 2 people it provides abundant sleeping and storage space. The second sleeping area gets used for sitting in if the weather turns really bad (a little more about that in a bit) and the porch area is just right for 2 at a table and our camp kitchen/larder.
First use was the Deer Park meet in 2007. Those of you there might have noticed us trying to put it up in rain and high wind. Despite this, it couldn't have taken the 2 of us more than an hour. During our stay it was very windy and rained continuously for the first couple of days. We did notice leaks at the seams by the front bedroom toggles, but this was forgiven due to the sheer volume of rain. The guys needed constant tightening however, but again, considering the conditions I see this as no hardship.
Now we are accomplished we can have it up in 45 minutes, but it takes up so little room that it is ideal considering I get everything packed into the boot of my medium sized hatchback.
My only concern is where the yellow poles go above the black pole sheaths, there is some wear through the fabric. This doesn't appear to affect performance though, and I gues it can only wear through so much.
All in all I think this was a real find and we won't need to be upgrading for the forseeable future.
