I bought this tent towards the end of the 2014 season as I camp a lot on my own with my two small sons. I had been taking a large 8 berth Vango but was finding it a bit much to put up on my own or with the boys 'helping'. Now I'm getting the hang of it, I can put the Quechua up on my own and get it down with only a little bit of swearing. It'll get easier with practice though.
We have the Illumin version so it does stand out with it being white, but it does mean we can spot it easily! The lights inside are bright enough for reading but don't wake the boys up. They're also very handy for middle of the night wees. Our inner tent is black so nice and dark and cool in there. The boys also love the sun roof for star gazing!
I was a bit worried about not having a sewn in ground sheet but we haven't had any draughts and have been cosy inside. We just have to be careful not to leave anything poking out in the porch. We also put a tarp over the front as an awning and this works well for extra sheltered space.
This tent works really well for me and two small boys and occasional DH, but I prefer a bigger tent for longer holidays. Overall, a great tent for weekend family camping.

This is the second tent I have owned and used I am delighted with this tent warmth ease of use pitching and striking not a problem instructions fixed to bag perfect
The lighting is a bonus and very bright for small lights a sewn in groundsheet would not work with this tent not a prolem as the tent as walling to cover the area only two of us used a party of four could be a problem but a couple would find the space not used good for storage ect just got back from conkers camping two nights to test tent before using in anger delighted well done quechua

This is my 4th pop up as we use a variety of combinations depending on numbers and length of stay. I got fed up with the smaller pop ups dripping water into the bedroom. I wanted something for short stays with a bit of room.I have the newer model which is even easier to put up and down though more expensive than £90. It has a beige front giving more light. Impossible to open the door when raining without letting water in but I suggest using a separate peg for the door instead of fastening to the groundsheet as suggested. This way you can fold the ground sheet back. I am a bit baffled by the panel of mesh on the groundsheet half way across. Why would you want damp to come through. I used an extra sheet under the footprint. I think the centre hook at the back of the bedroom is too close to the fly so I unhooked it. The pocket inside is very useful but would like to be able to buy a spare. I think more than two adults in the living room would result in some serious grumpiness but OK if the weather is good. The base pop ups suffer from a dearth of guy points but this is well guyed though I am replacing them with yellow lines. (Why don't they do this as standard?)

In recent times I have been through a variety of big tents. This tent I obtained in anticipation of a summer tour as I did not fancy the idea of pitching and striking a Montana 6 several times in a few weeks. I've now been on tour twice with this and I have to say it is great. It is easy to put up and with a bit of practice as easy to take down. Having grown used to a SIG, I was dubious about the draft resistance of the inner but I need not have worried. For 2 of us I would use it for an extended camp. 4 people seems a bit optimistic but then I have never liked camping sardine style.
This tent has stood up to wind and rain without issue. The only slight negative is that it is impossible to get in and out in wet weather without getting water in. I think a Tarp might sort that out.

We've just come back from a short trip with this and our 6-man Hi-Gear. This was our third trip with this tent and the ease of use is staggering.
It's very compact when put away but literally goes up (and down) in a few minutes.
Great for a short weekend or as a second tent when we go with extra kids.
Loads of bedroom space for 3 (or 4 at a push) and a porch that's ideal for storing kit - you wouldn't want to sit in it too often, though.
I did love getting it pitched and then opening a beer and watching the others get their tents sorted. (I did help them after a couple of minutes)
Highly recommended.

What a bargain this tent is - all this year it has been available in Decathlon and on Amazon at just under £90.
I bought it for short camping trips when I am away with no other adult to assist. It makes setting up and striking camp a doddle.
The sleeping area is spacious, but like every other tent I have been in, allow one less person that the stated capacity. This is HUGE for 2 adults and just right for an adult and 2 kids or 2 adults and a kid.
The porch / living area is very big as a porch, but would be ludicrously snug if used with a table and chairs as claimed it can be by the manufacturer. Perfectly OK for 2 people sitting in in a camping chairs.
A sewn in groundsheet in the living area would be an improvement, and whilst this tent is an excellent budget buy for short trips, be aware that it lacks the little details of finesse that you get in more expensive tents, such as separate screen doors, doors with an option of opening from two sides, and adjustable vents in the sleeping pod.
You can't have everything with a pop-up, and for me this is the perfect complement to our bigger tent.
Ideal for:
Short trips
An adult alone with a couple of kids
Summer camping
And budget-wise a much better buy than a cheap low quality tent.

Used one for 2 years now as it has never ever let me or my family down. EVER!
One recommendation for long term use -
From the first time I took it out of the bag I Nikwax'd the tent and have done so every Year Since. Just once a year. I understand that the tent comes waterproofed but this is something I have always done with my tents.
Waterproof wise -
October 2010 in Newquay Cornwall we had 3 meters of rain fall over night and the tent didnt leak at all. You should have seen the state of the Halfords £100 deal tent on the site. ( Ouch )
High Wind wise -
October 2011 In Weymouth we had 60 - 70mph winds which killed our Vango 8 pole windbreak again the tent put up with it and didn’t give in. Just bends and flex’s with no damage.
Light Wise-
I noticed new models have a black bedroom part to them and ours has not and to be fair the tent does allow a lot of light in the mornings, however at night lights inside the tent do not make the tent see through.
Floor / Ground Sheet Wise -
To be fair the tent has been used 5-6 times (weekends and entire weeks) a year and the groundsheet is a little bit worn out from the hard standing campsites, but a tarp makes a decent footprint for the tent, also its the one thing I have a nasty habit of forgetting to air out and hasn’t gone mouldy yet after 4 months of being in a plastic bag.
Space wise -
Enough space for 2 for a week but not enough room for the 2 kids as well, and its is very low although you can sit upright inside the tent you cannot stand upright. Half a star off for this.
Pegs Wise:
The only thing I used the pegs that came with it was to count how many there were and how many hard ground and thick soft mud pegs I was going to need to purchase to ensure that it would hold up in wind and rain. Pegs that come with a tent always let down a tent no matter what tent you buy so half a star off for this.
Airing / Drying:
The tent will fit in a room, but you will need a room long enough for the lengh of the tent and you can detact the sleeping area. It isn't as easy and a non pop up tent to air out but is perfectly do able inside. Only once have I had to do this inside but the very nature and ease of use more than make up for this.
Overall a great tent that has performed in crazy weather and has consistently done so as well. For the price this is a great value tent, that isn't going to let you down, year after year. As long as you look after it and ensure you air it out and perhaps give it a bit of a waterproof spray now and then. (as I said this is something I always do with tents once a year)

Absolutely first rate tent. My son and I use when we go sailing and frequently arrive late after a long journey. The tent is up in seconds. I strongly recommend anybody studies the video in great detail because it's quite easy to get it back to front and folding it up you have to go beyond the point when you think it will break. In terms of durability we have used it in some vicious winds when a more rigid construction would have been damaged. However the tent just flexed and twisted and was undamaged.

I cant praise this tent highly enough.
We have just been away for 15 nights - 5 nights each, in three different campsites. Setting up camp, and breaking down is just too easy! At one site, we were nearly all packed up, felt a few spits of rain, and whipped the tent down in seconds. Our neighbours eyes nearly popped out of his head!
We experienced all weathers - wind and rain, and it didn't miss a beat. We could even sit in the porch on our camp chairs to keep dry.
We also bought a Quechua shelter (the one with a zip up door) and used it for storage of food, cool bag, pots and pans etc, which was perfect.
There was plenty of room in the tent for 2 of us, as well as all our clothes and bits and pieces. I don't think we'll ever go back to a regular poles-threaded-through tent again!
