Excellent tent - takes two of us 20 minutes to erect - but watch the poles when putting up - we've broken several in the past being a bit hasty.
Its got a complete sewn in groundsheet which I now consider essential having had rats inside a previous open bottomed lounge area.
My g/f is 5.11' and can easily stand up and we feel safe cooking inside the tent and with a boisterous two year old running about too. There's only three of us so its real luxury without the smaller bedroom.
When erecting put in some temporary line pegs first to stop wind problems then put the big four poles through and then erect upright and quickly get in a couple of holding pegs and then when its up and in position finalise the pegging. We broke a pole once taking down in blustery weather.

What a fantastic tent! We were new to camping this year, so wanted an easy to erect and comfortable tent. This tent is extremely spacious with a fully sewn in groundsheet, so no bugs or creepy crawlies, it is totally idiot proof and easy to erect. There are tension bands all around to tighten up and secure the tent and all the doors and windows are fully netted. The poles are colour coded and the tent has matching colours to show you where to thread them, there are lots of storage pockets in the main living area and some in the bedrooms too, and AMAZINGLY the whole thing folds away (with the bedrooms still inside) into a spacious carry bag. Brilliant. The second time we erected it was brilliant the bedrooms are already hanging, so no faffing about just straight in and make it home. Since buying this tent and being totally impressed, we have bought a footprint, the matching carpet and a canopy and Royal chairs (very comfy)

Just back from my first trip in this tent and it couldnt have gone any better. It pitched in about 20 minutes with two adults working on it. Was warm and dry but plenty of vents to let the heat out if you didnt want it too warm. Reall easy to take down as well and its not a nightmare to get it back in the bag after. I don't think the third bedroom is big enough for two adults, 2 kids maybe sharing a single mattress. We have the extension as well but didnt use it this time as we were only going with 1 child for 2 nights so didnt need the extra space. For pitching I'd recommend putting in the four poles and then pitching and pinning the centre ones before using the guy ropes to raise the two outside ones. Several people came over asking about the tent over the weekend and I personally though it looked a lot more solid than some of the other tents pitched beside us. I think we'll get many years of happy camping with this tent. We're thrilled with it.

This is our first tent, we purchased it last year and have used it twice. The first time we went camping was back in June 2012, when we had the heavy rain and gale winds (Not great for a first camping trip!) but the tent stood up the beating it took that night. Its easy to put up, it took us novices about 30-40 mins, so with the more experienced camper it would probably take less.
When we go camping, its 2 adults and 2 children and a dog, we use the large internal pod to sleep in and the smaller one to keep all our bits in like, food, clothes etc. Great inside space, we are going to purchase an extension this year to house the cooking equipment and muddy shoes!

Fantastic tent . Only spent two nights in it so far but its a breeze to pitch . Stayed dry through overnight rain and once home and hung out it dried rapidly .
The two main pods are a great size although the smaller end pod is a bit closed in . We had two adults and four kids inside plus bits n bobs and it wasnt cramped . For adults only you could nicely sleep five but six would be pushing it with the small end pod . At night with the vents closed its nice and warm and easily lit with a single light .
Next purchase will be the extension so the cooking gear can live out there with the soggy shoes and socks :D

This is my second tent and it is excellent. It withstood on its first outing, a storm of high winds and approx 30mm of rainfall over a 2 night camping trip. We had no leaks and no problems with the wind howling around us.
It was easy to put up, approx 20mins and easy to take down. We had plenty of room, 2 adults, 2 kids, and the children enjoyed helping to put it up also.
Although it had its first christening in terrible conditions we did find that one of the doors was a little tough to close but we got the knack of it eventually. However when the sun finally showed up, the door was fine.
I recommend this tent as I expect it to last a good few years, hopefully though in better weather conditions.

I bought mine second hand from the former owner this year and paid €300 for the tent, carpet, 2 double airbeds and a single airbed. Over in Ireland the RRP is €345 with the cheapest both north and south been €299. Most cheaper websites will not deliver to Ireland like we are on the far side of the moon instead of over the water a bit!
I have to say that it has been the best money I've spent. This tent is huge the living space is the best. We are a family of 4 with 2 young kids in the mix but there is plenty of space in this for us all, plus on our last camping trip it rained a little so 3 more people(my brother in law, wife and little fella where also in there all happy and each doing their own things and all bone dry). I am going to buy the extension next season just to keep the carpet dry at the door with people walking in and out with wet boot/shoes and for a potty at night for the little ones. I've owned about 4 tents in my life but this is by far the best one! As my brother in law put it you could hold a barn dance in here if you needed to! All in all a BIG thumbs from me and my family!

This is our first tent so can't compare it to any others. It's easy to put up, takes my husband about an hour, he only needs me to help with the poles! We have camped in really hot weather and was pleased to find the tent stayed nice and cool inside. We also camped in the pouring rain and it rained solidly for over 12 hours! The tent kept us dry but the ground sheet did have some water pooled (just by the tent entrance, probably caused by us walking in and out). The tent is nice and roomy with lots of handy storage. The smaller bedroom is a bit small! Really only room for one I think. Reckon we could do with a canopy, to help cope with any more bad weather. All in all, we are very happy with our first purchase.

We bought this tent after much research into vis-a-vis tents and are not disappointed so far. It is a lovely airy spacious tent although we do use it for 2 adults and one child and therefore have an extra room for storage.
There are lots of useful pockets in the bedroom compartments of which there are 3 compartments in total.
It has two large doors opposite each other and these can be mesh ventilated by unzipping parts of the doors as can the bedroom compartments. There are see through windows each side which can be opened or covered as required.
We pitched this tent in 30 mins.
We have used it in light rain and moderate winds and we felt very comfortable and secure.
Two main gripes.
1) The footprint is almost larger than the tent base and so not sure if driving rain could get between the footprint and tent groundsheet and puddle there. We will need some worse weather to see if this is the case and whether this affects the tent.
2) We have found that the zips get caught up with either the plastic rain shields or the fabric but this could be due to pitching too tightly.
The other issue is that the tent on the Royal website and the website we bought from said it was 3000HH however when we received it, it said 2500HH on the tent bag. We have phoned Unipart Leisure who make the tent and they said there was a printing error on many of the tent bags and that they are all 3000HH.
All in all we are very happy with the tent and we are now looking at getting the zip up extension to match and look forward to many future camping trips.

It was a difficult choice between the Atlanta 6 and the Vango Tigris 6 as they are very similar but the white roof on the Atlanta swung it for us as it let so much more light in and made the tent feel much bigger not that it needs it its massive.
We are seasoned campers of over 30yrs experience putting up various tents but this one we struggled with. The principles are simple, same as all tunnel tents, but stretching and manoeuvring the tent out of its concertina once the poles were locked into the hoops was very awkward as the sheer weight and height dragged it over. We ended up with one of us holding the tent hoops upright whilst the other dashed around pegging it out. Its purely down to its size, its a heavy beast and how the previous gentleman pegged it out on his own I really don't know?
However we are as with most tents getting the knack and last time we were fully set up airbeds electric etc and down the pub within the hour. Once up the tent is fabulous its huge inside light airy loads of space, the bedroom has ample room either side of the airbed for moving around there is room in the main tent( we don't put up the 3rd room) for a couple of tables for cooking/eating in bad weather and chairs.
I love the mesh doors and windows so you can be open to the air, watch the world go by but maintain some privacy, and the matching rear and front doors is a boon so you can pitch either direction. The only downside we feel is the Tigris had a rain skirt and the Atlanta tent only just covers the foot print and in heavy rain it may seep in between the two.
The last time we used it it was in really heavy winds blowing branches off trees and though in very heavy gusts it bowed a tad it stayed firmly in place and cosy and warm inside.
We have the extension with zipped door but haven't used it yet.
All in all this tent was the envy of all our friends on the site.I love it
