We brought the Sprayway Valley 6 as a second hand unit. The size of the tent was what drew us to it.
However we have regretted the decision and will be buying another tent very shortly.
The footprint doesn't quite match the tent and therefore caused issues when it rained. Water got under the tent and then came through the SIG and he carpet then got wet.
The inner tent seemed to be stretched and when putting the beds in place we broke one of these elasticity that held he inner tent up.
The space in the tent is amazing, but there are more things I don't like about the tent that what I do like.

Since my previous review from three months ago I was bought a bell tent so have since sold the tent on (I had owned it since 2010 but not left a review before then). I still stand by my previous review, this is a fab tent and we had very few problems with it - the reasons I sold it were:
1) Pack size smaller on bell tent.
2) Erection time (also bell tent can be put up single handedly)
3) Was being used mainly for weekend camping.
4) Other half said that we have too many tents and not enough space to keep them all!
This tent is big, strong with fab storage - if this fits your needs I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

I was nervous about buying this tent after reading some of the reviews on here but love this tent! We have used it numerous times in good and bad weather and not had a single problem. I love the storage (especially the wardrobe area) as I hate tripping over stuff on the floor! There are loads of windows with excellent blackout blinds and the living area is huge. We had no problems with pitch sizes which we had experienced with an octopus shaped tent.
Negatives? The red guyropes are invisible at night, the pack size is massive and as you'd expect with a tent of this size and type it takes two adults a little while to put up but we get faster each time.
We also bought the canopy which we used as a gazebo - again this is huge and the carpet which compared to the quality of the carpet we'd had with our Outwell Hartford XL was a bit disappointing.

We brought this tent as it had everything we required. We have now had this tent since august 2008. We love it .We have several camping trips all around the country. Brilliant for storage of things with all the little pockets.Once you have got the hang of how to put it up very straight forward. We would recommend this tent to anyone. We have never had any problems has other reviewers have no leaks no missing parts. Love it. So if your looking for a good family tent loads of room this is the one for you.

Very smart and good looking tent ,v ery spacious . Extra front awning is a 100% bonus cannot fault our tent one bit and really looking forward to get as much use as possible out of . Price and quality is well worth every penny. On our first trip to Somerset we had plenty of strong wind and rain ,no problems at all .

We bought this tent at an exhibition having gone to look at another make.
What sold this tent to us?
• The inner tent extends the whole length of the living area.
• And it’s a big living area with good headroom
• The annex porch is big enough to get out of wet coat and shoes without your forehead pressed up against the inner tent
• There is quite a lot of hanging storage and side pockets, including a clothes area with a rail.
The tent has had three outings now and survived lashing rain in Cumbria without any leaks. The living area within the inner is comfortable if it turns cold and has plenty of room for two adults and two lively kids when the rain is hammering down outside.
Early reviews commented on leaks with this make so the manufacturers look like they sorted this out before we bought ours. The metal eyelets are going rusty but no leaks.
The first major problem was trying to follow the pitching instructions. Then we found a YouTube clip of a Yeomans employee pitching single handed. Basically, this is a tunnel tent so pitch the rear hoop, stretch out, pitch the front hoop and canopy, fit the inner tent and then the two centre hoops.
Have you read the comments below about the front canopy? It sticks out at roof height but there is little side protection (see the picture). It keeps a bit of sun off the front at midday and that’s it. What it is best at is catching the wind. We woke up one morning in Cumbria (Kendal CCC site, relatively sheltered) to find the front of the tent folded in.
The problem is just one guyline on the front of the canopy. It was double pegged but didn’t hold. We replaced it with a pair of lines, which has worked since and has the advantage that you don’t have a line and peg grounded right in the middle of the front door.
The replacements are yellow lines that show up at night. The red lines that come with the tent are invisible at night: so be ready for some TWANG “Oh *****!” moments as your fellow campers find the lines on their nocturnal loo trips. And we trip over them as well.
Another review has picked up on the pockets at the doors and window openings that fabric folds into. We liked that feature when we saw it.
A drawback of the inner tent extending the length of the living area: to see through a window you have to open the inner curtain and mesh screen to get to the outer curtain and mesh . Why two layers of mesh?
On ours the inner windows are smaller and lower than the outer so there is an awkward reach up between the tents to release the outer curtain.
There should be loops and toggles to hold the layers but two windows and one door are affected by sewing errors on the loops/toggles. Nothing is impossible to secure with some fiddling but it’s a let down on quality.
There are four side windows in the front porch but because the inner tent extends to this point, the outer two are redundant.
The main poles have colour coded plastic end caps but these soon come loose, mainly when we push the poles out at the end of a trip. The connectors between the sections are breaking: three gone in three trips.
Overall, disappointing because of quality and some of the design features.
However, looking at the new tents Sprayway have introduced in 2010, none seem to have the kind of canopy I’ve commented on and they all look like fibreglass poles instead of the metal ones on the Valley.
It may be that Sprayway are aware of the shortcomings of this tent.

We purchased a Sprayway Valley 6 from Yeomans Outdoors last week and have just returned from a few days in the Peak District.
Firstly I would like to congratulate them on a wonderful tent. After 4 years in a Royal Bordeaux we finally decided we needed a little more space and after trawling tent shows for over a year, we finally came across the Valley 6. It ticked all the boxes and more. Fantastic.
All that said, a few things that could do with improving.
1. The boot storage area. Fantastic idea, but you can only access it from inside?!
2. The pale roof in the bedroom is a bit daft after all the effort they went to with black out facilities on the other windows.
3. Guy lines??! We were the only tent on the entire site, not to have luminous guy lines. I don’t need to explain the benefits of luminous guy lines on a tent, but found it really incredible after such as well designed tent, that no one had thought to put them on. A real down side.
OK…on to quality. One trip to the Peak District discovered the following:
1. D ring missing at the front.
2. D ring missing from the rear
3. Hole in back right above bedroom
4. Tent pole x 2 metal bent, so unable to push poles together without considerable force
5. Zip on annexe bent so zip wouldn’t go all the way round.
6. Toggle found hanging from roof of tent when we came to dismantle it.
A huge let down. Yeomans have been superb and exchanged it for us, but it has left us feeling very nervous about the overall quality of the tent, especially after 4 years in our Royal, which other than the size issue is still in perfect shape.
To sum up….Superbly thought through tent with nearly fabulous design. Quality unashamedly poor.

We bought this tent to replace a Vango Diablo 600.Lots of space, handy pockets, footlocker, canopy, wardrobe and sig sold it for me.Paid £350 outdoor world. Husband reluctant to buy frame tent 'cos of weight and bulk but I bought roof box! We've used it 3 times and each time I cry for my Diablo.
Haven't found anything drastically wrong with it just don't like it. Bug bears are; the canopy looks great but the wind changed direction one day and it turned into a kite,lifted the front of the tent, leaving me stood on front guy rope peg, Hubby came back with stronger pegs and it was ok {sprayway need to provide better pegs for this], my diablo had full mesh doors, sprayway has just a little mesh for ventilation and I prefer a porchway, the sprayway main door just doesn't do it for me.
My niece loves this tent, so she's having it as a birthday present! I now have an Aztec galeria 6.Lots of space,full mesh doors,much lighter and smaller to carry, hubby happy. Although no porch,, but unfortunately I can't have everything. The sprayway is a really good tent, just not for me.

This is a fantastic looking tent but that's as far as it goes I'm afraid, looks are not everything, we had a number of problems with the tent, so much so, we had to curtail our holiday.
The problems:
The vents above all three windows in the living area let in rain one of which is above the electrics.
We discovered a hole just under the side porch on one of the seams this tear was spreading out from the seam.
The footprint groundsheet and the tent did not quite match up henceforth during a really heavy thunderstorm the rain got between the groundsheet and the sig The water then started to seep through the sig, making the tent feel cold.

Hi We own a spray way valley 6. Just been camping this weekend Fri-Sun 12 pm off pitch.
First time pitching tent (first time out of the bag) my wife and I were quite impressed with how easy it was erected. (45mins)
Inner has SIG (sewn in groundsheet) with bedroom compartments and living space (good size for family of four) SIG high in one spot before bedrooms but not to much tension to cause a problem, with 2 childern 3 & 5 running around.
We had very bad weather all Saturday day and night, (rain and strong winds) we found the Sun canopy at the front of the tent to offer very good protection form the elements. Good pitching direction advised. Very sturdy frame.
We had 3 small leaks (and Im a plumber so I know a leak when I see one!) all around the top seam of all three living room windows. But I know that tents are not 100% waterproof, so on the way back home brought some fabric water sealant and have applied it to the seams in question.
We purchased the footprint groundsheet with the tent and found it to be a bonus as it keeps the SIG dry and dirt free also its long enough to cover the ground in the front porch area, a must when it damp under foot.
Side compartment great for storage (cooker,kids toys) internal storage pockets very handy, bedrooms good size and the built in wardrobe space, a good hiding place for the Under 3's.

Problems, but (touchwood) it is a really spacious, practical tent and the design is some thing different form that of all the other tents on offer.
