We have been away twice this year in this tent; once in driving rain and wind in the peak district and once in the sun in wales and its excellent. Despite all weather thrown at it, no leaks and doesn't move in the wind.

We use two double airbeds, one in each room and although its a little tight in the smaller room it does fit and stops the kids rolling off the side. Lots of room in the bigger room, and good ventilation too.

The bathtub ground sheet and carpet are a great luxury, and keep it warm in the evening. We have bought a Coleman universal awning to give us cover outside and it works well if a little difficult to get over the top of the tent as we are both short and the tent is 215cm tall!

HUGE living space and loads of doors and windows to let the light in, massive headroom and the front looks like a spaceship (According to my boys)

We will be using for many years to come.

We have owned our tent for a few years now, and we would like to say the Sunncamp evolution 600dl is a fantastic tent. It has a massive living area, darkened bedrooms and lots of windows and the four doors make brilliant ventilation. We have recently got back from the isle of Wight for a week. The tent was excellent while there, very sturdy and looks good too. The only problem with this tent is the canopy that sunn camp sell for it is too small and way over priced! So after Careful consideration we went to Go Outdoors in Southampton and purchased a Kalahari Porch which isn't made for the evo 600dl. But fits perfectly. Little more expensive than the sunn camp canopy which are about £100, the Kalahari porch is £115 and does the job nicely. Hope this is helpful.

We have this tent and have used it about six times. Love it and have solved the entry problem this year by buying the new Sunncamp extension which gives a really good covered entrance which has also got a door. Great space for shoes etc.

Excellent tent stands up to all weathers without moving due to its funky shape. :

We have had this tent for tent two years now.

Love the amount of room the tent offers. We have only had four people sleeping in it and still offered plenty of room.

We have pitching down to a tea, me inside pushing the poles up and one person outside clicking them in. We can now get it up in under 30 minutes.

We have had it pitched on hills with no problems, gale force winds presented with no problems did not budge.

Only this year has it started to leak which I would expect as we did not stupidly waterproof at the end of the season, but even then its only a couple of drips.

When it really rains big puddles develop on the top section near the bedrooms but they have not leaked as of yet.

I would recommend this tent and its range, our friend owns the 400 and its also a great size

Bought this tent in January 2010, didn't get to use it till may, have used it 3 times since then and each time we use it, the more impressed with it we are! Easy to put up, a lot easier know we found out the easy way of putting it up! Love the amount off room it offers, for me and my partner, and our dog, the amount off windows is a good feature as well. The sig is a excellent feature, we also purchased the carpet and footprint ground sheet, all make it a bit more home, from home!

Highly recommend this tent, we will not be looking to replace it any time soon!

We have just used this tent for a quick get away, just me and my wife. We have been camping for quite a while and found this tent so easy to put up. Our previous tent pitched inner first so if it was raining this was a real problem. No problems here though. The amount of space is fantastic and sitting in the tent as the night drew in was a joy as the amount of windows made it feel as though we were outside , there are even windows low down so if you are sitting on a chair or even on the floor you can see out. Can't wait until Aug when we can get away in it with the whole family .

We have owned this tent since 2008 and do not intend to replace it for awhile yet, it is excellent, we have used it 4 or 5 times and in all weathers, unlike the other reviews we did not get any leaks as we seem sealed it from new, scout experience and all that.

It stands up very well to high winds due to it's streamlined shape, we brought it for many reasons but mainly the interior space and exterior looks, but other bits helped us to choose this model, the dark bedrooms that keep the kids asleep longer, the SIG which keep the creepy-crawlys out, the storage pockets that the kids fill with junk, the four doors and loads of windows which keep it aired and pleasant.

We have owned several different tents in the past from frame tents to dome tents and the one lesson you learn is get one that is easy and quick to put up, this is, and get one that you put the outside up first, this does, we had a Outwell Hartford XXL before this and apart from a lot of campsites not allowing tents that size in peak season the main problem was once the tent was up you then had to somehow throw the flysheet, which was the size of a air balloon, over the top of the whole thing, never again.

This tent is perfect for our lot, four small kids in the larger bedroom (1x double airbed and 1x single airbed fits ok) the two older boys in the smaller bedroom (1x double airbed) and the wife and me on fishing bedchairs in the living area.

But most of the time we use a pup tent for the two older boys and the wife and me get the smaller room.

Sleeping isn't that important as it is just that sleep, on holiday the days are what is important.

We have found that if there are more of you it is warmer anyway.

To recap, a great tent at a great price, good looks and space, good in wind and quick and easy to pitch.

We would recommend it.

We brought this tent in June 2008 because we saw one while we was camping in Dorset. We loved the design and the amount of space it offered for 2 people (plenty of room to have people round for dinner) and the dark bedroom area was a really good idea. Very easy to put up for the size.

There were a few downsides though. The lack of a porch which we looked around for something to go over the top and we see this year sunncamp have come up with a porch to fit.

For attention of Lorraine10 we brought a Coleman awning from Argos £29.99 which gave loads of sheltered space outside. A bit cheaper than the made to measure ones.

We also found the tent leaked when it rained from various places and not just the seams. We have been camping for many years and have never had such problems so the tent is being sent back. We now have an outwell Montana 6 which is great but yet to be tested in the rain.

We have used this tent three times now, the first two times in the dry, sunny weather and we were very pleased with it. This tent was chosen for it's ease of pitching(only 4 poles) and it's wonderful, light, large living area. It has plenty of ventilation options which is important with a SIG. I can put this tent up with my 11 year old son and I like the fact that the four poles cross each other so the tent can stand up without guys. It feels sturdy and is good-looking.

The drawbacks for us are during our third trip, it rained hard for two days and the tent developed at least two leaks in the seams where toggles are sewn in.

I also experienced water pooling on top of the roof which eventually leaked as well. During the night I laid in bed listening to the rather disconcerting splash of water drops hitting the SIG! I will give the Fabsil a go and hope I can overcome these problems. The 6 berth description is ambitious and wouldn't sleep 6 unless you were very friendly. Because we sleep on camp beds, we have my son in the smaller pod and myself and my daughter in the other, so we can sleep 3 comfortably!

To me, this tent is ideal for long weekends and shorter trips away. Would I want to take it to the Lakes,Scotland or Lands End, judging on it's performance so far, probably not!

Purchased this tent after seeing the standard Evo 600 on display. The tent looked well made and had some really nice touches. We thought for an extra few pounds we would splash out and buy the DL just to give that extra bit of living space which has come in so handy, especially when the weather isn't great.

I liked the fact that the material covering the bedrooms was dark, yet the living area it was light. The amount of doors, vents and windows is great! The girlfriend and I can get the tent up in about 40 minutes, which for its size is pretty good, and we are no experts!

I have used the tent twice now, both times at a camp site in Brean. The first weekend was boiling hot, and I found that with the SIG, it did hold the heat more, unless you had all the doors open. After returning from the beach it was very hot inside!

The second trip was quite the opposite, with prolonged periods of rain. Here the SIG was great, no water getting in, no ants etc, brilliant. However, we did have a few leaks :-( we counted approx 6 from different places, mainly from the seams where the bungee cords were attached and it was nothing too major. I may have to look into buying some seam sealant, but it was a slight disappointment.

I would recommend this tent to anyone, the living space is to die for. During our rainy trip to Brean, we comfortably fitted 5 adults in our tent, plus 2 tables. As mentioned in a previous review, you can save a bundle by buying online.
