Returned to camping after many years like so many people as we are a couple with a young family (8 & 4 yrs).
Pitching time for two people takes us around 30 - 45 minutes. The Anteus 600 is an ideal size for the four of us, with two double airbeds fitting into the bed room section nicely with space (we removed the bedroom divider to create one large bedroom). The living room is a large size to accomodate our camping kitchen, large electrical cool box, table and chairs, suitcase, etc. The overhanging porch at the front is a great size which allows you to sit underneath in chairs without getting wet when its raining. The front doors and the bedrooms have mesh sections to aid cooling to keep the flies out, but unfortunately there's no mesh section on the side door. There is a small zip on the sewn in ground sheet in the living room section as an access point for the ehu.
Large windows at the front and sides have toggle curtains for privacy. There is a lamp hanging point in the centre of the living room area, but, unfortunately, there are no hanging points in the bedrooms.
We have the optional extra porch section which came with the tent, but we are yet to use it as the tent is large enough for our needs at the moment. This will be a great addition to store our bicycles when we start to bring them camping. The carpet is a worth while addition for a extra level of comfort.
Build quality seems ok at the moment - no broken glass fibre poles (yet), with only one front door toggle snapped.
All in all, I am enjoying camping in the Anteus 600. I would buy it again and recommend it to friends and family as a good, family sized, glass fibre poled tent.

Went back to poles from air tent (punture) decided on the Anteus mainly for ease of pitching and price never regreted it come rain,shine and very windy weather it stood up to everything just got the front porch for it so can't wait for our first trip of the year.I agree with some of the comments that the side door needs a mesh and also its lacking a tent tidy but thats all.

Totally fed up with this tent. Yes it's big, yes it's airy, yes it's a nice blue colour, but don't show it a puff of wind. Twice we have had poles snap and/or the bracing straps inside break off on a day which was windier that usual, but no one else's tent even moved. It has totally frightened our dog who now won't go in a tent because this one suddenly blew flat on top of her. Hate it.

The price - a lot less than most 6 man tents on the market
Easy to erect & take-down, just 5 poles & loads of guy-lines
Fibre-glass poles & polyester material to really lightweight & doesn't take up too much boot space
Large living area for chilling out out storing gear
Nice & bright in living area due to lighter blue roof colour
Good size overhanging porch for cooking/removing shoes
Darker material bedroom pods
Mesh vents at top of bedroom pod doors for improved ventilation
Storm tension straps inside tent to secure it when it's windy
Con's
No fly-mesh on the side door
Lantern hanging point is at the back of the living area & not the centre
Just a tiny bit narrow for a 6 man
Go summarise, a great starter tent for a family wanting to try camping without spending a fortune.

To start with, I had a second hand Vango Diablo 600 for over three and a half years, never needed waterproofing but found out on our last trip (15th -22nd june) on the first night that our cats had ran over the top (unknown to me) and it leaked like a sieve on the stormy wed night near Matlock. We went home as we took our 7 month old son with us.
Decided to get a new tent from Go Outdoors Derby the next day and head back (50 odd mile round trip) and ended up buying the Anteus 600, footprint and awning.
After pegging out the footprint and laying the tent out, I opened the poles bag and a number of the poles just fell apart. Was not happy for a brand new tent so rang Go Outdoors and had to repack all the tent to take back, why I couldnt just take the poles back (40 mile round trip) I have no clue so I arrived back on site late afternoon thurs.
On pitching the awning to the tent I was gobsmacked to find that one of the toggle holders, which hold the door up, was not attached to the awning, yet again was not happy chap especially when the sales guy said to bring it back. Though to be fair they was fine when I said I wasnt wasting my holiday travelling to and fro from Matlock to Derby.
Final straw was on the sunday night/mon morning it rained. Guess what? It leaked. Could not believe it.
That was two new tents and an awning needing replacing in the space of a few days.
I ended up covering the whole lot with a tarp canopy to salvage the holiday.
As to the tent.
-Pros-
Loved the space in the bedrooms, living area and porch* (*with separate canopy)
Awesome clear windows with plenty of views and felt nice and airy.
Easy to erect and overall I liked the layout of the tent.
-Cons-
Very very poor build quality* and waterproofing. (*in 2 different tents)
Could have done with a fly net on the side door.
Lack of inner tent side hanging storage space (compared to the Diablo)
I have been camping for 35+ years and had a number of tents including my old faithful glastonbury tent which did 3 very wet festivals in the mid nineties without a drip inside the tent and have never had problems like what ive had with the Anteus 600.

We bought the Anteus 600 as we needed to down size our tent pack, because of a change in Vehicle (company car policy no longer allows us to tow a trailer).
Although we were used to the luxury of space in our old ten man tent, we didn't notice any difference in the living room space of the Anteus 600, the tent was really roomy. Sleeping all together up one end of the tent was new to us but again the bedroom accommodated three teenagers on SIMS my self on a SIM and the padded Fishermans bed my wife has to use because of her arthritic back.
The quality is acceptable for the £250 we paid, as someone else said the insect net and door are separately zipped and there's no mechanism to the combine the two. The zip on the door got trapped a couple of times caught in the lip , but a bit of patience soon released it.
Pitching is quite easy there's a little colour coded tag (not immediately obvious) on each of the pole sleeves once you have worked that out it took us about 25 minutes to pitch and fly the whole tent.
If I were to have a criticism it would be that the orange clips on the bedroom pod feel quite flimsy and look like they will break easily if you keep removing the pod. That being said I'm very happy with our tent and can't wait to get back out in it.

Bought in 2015 and used for 18 nights in Cornwall (fair to poor weather), 5 nights near Blackpool (storm conditions, weather warning winds), 3 nights in Delamere Forest, 2 nights in Cotswolds (both mild conditions).
Pros:
Design is great. Large bedrooms with removable divider - we prefer to keep it all open so we can see our very young daughter with plenty of space around our beds.
Lounge area is huge and we can have a large table up all of the time and rows of shelves, fridge, storage without encroaching on the living area.
As tents of this size go, it's a cheaper one. It's lighter, quicker to pitch and suited our budget.
Most importantly it held up in a storm for three days without any leaks or damage and then did us proud for a 2.5 week trip to Cornwall. We look after our tent, peg it out properly and make sure there's no undue tension where there shouldn't be. We make sure it is dry when packed away and are careful to waterproof where it gets worn. It has been amazing.
Cons: Would love the side door to have a mesh fly screen. We'd also love to have curtains that zip instead of toggle. But then you can have all of those things on a tent if you spend £100 / £200 more.
We were so chuffed with this tent last year that after a lot of research into bigger 2016 models to replace our tent with, we've bought the front awning and side awning for our Anteus 600 and it's not 8.5m long (very longer than anything else on the market). Now to book a campsite.

Bought this tent to start camping again this year had to return it as it had a slit in the side exchanged it for another one did not have time to check it before going camping then discovered this one hadn't the fixingsame for the bedroom rang gooutdoors at Scunthorpe who said when we got back to return it and we could either exchange the tent or get a different tent which we did but while we were camping we had a thunderstorm but we're kept dry so reason for rating is the problems with the workmanship of the tent

We purchased an Anteus 600 as our first tent. We went to do a practice run during the next week and were forced to return the tent, as the shock cord was snapped on one of the poles (as well as there being little bits of broken plastic all over the inside the bag where the toggle on the peg bag had been smashed) Go Outdoors exchanged the tent for us and after pitching for the first time on our first camping trip, we noticed a hole in the ceiling of the living area. We had to spend the night in the tent as we had a 3 year old who needed to sleep and we were 2 hours away from home. Luckily the weather held and we were able to return the tent the next day. Upon inspection I would have to question how secure the taping of some of the seems were, as it seemed to be lifting in places. Luckily go outdoors performed much better than the tent, the manager was very helpful, allowing us to exchange the tent for a different make and model.
It is a shame that the tent was not up to standard quality wise as we really liked the design and layout of the tent. This tent felt like it was poorly manufactured, using a really good design.

I want to say great but unfortunately now on our 3rd one in a month First one the airvents would not stay open on one side as no velcro straps. 2nd one tore the attached canopy both sides in now on out 3rd dare not open yet but need to check it. Go outdoors changed the first no problem the one that tore was a nightmare to get them to exchange so we will see what the 3rd one brings. Would rather had money back but they refused. The other thing to be aware of is the front extension canopy the extra one, we bought this as a package it makes it so long and hard to find sites that accept around 8m in length,
