Just bought a new still packaged 700dxl. Only issue we have is that there is rain water coming through the floor of the inner tent seems as if its penetrating through the seam of poly and the other issue is how the hell does the ground sheet to the front porch area fit the ground space as it does not make any sense. I am unsure as to the year of make.

After owning a Vango Aspen 700 DLX for 2 years and half - This tent would be by far the best owned, Yes its a two man job and can take a couple of hours to get it erect, but once up what a size (No pun intended) and the space is incredible.
The tent has one very large living area and three bedrooms, one central large room with two smaller rooms at each side, where you can remove one wall to make a massive bedroom and not just that, you can use one of the smaller rooms as a walk in wardrobe with its pole hanger.
The spacious front porch area, we used as a kitchen, the only negative side in the the mornings the porch canvas ceiling was soaking wet with condensation due to it being only single skin, unlike the rest of the tent.
Yes, its a heavy tent, but by Ch*** its very sturdy and must say we have had a few windy days owning it, where it held its own and others did not.
I know these tents are of some age now, but if you can get hold of one in good condition you will not regret it.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Bought one of these second hand and can sum it up in one word, superb!
I have been camping for over 30 years and owned a lot of tents, this is the best one yet. I agree with most of the comments on other reviews, it is big and it is heavy, but that is what makes it sturdy and stable. Lots of space, it has never leaked, in fact my only criticism is that it could use larger windows. Highly recommended if you don't mind the weight or size of it when packed up.

Bought off eBay following excellent reviews and not disappointed.
Enormous and built like a tank, consequently also very heavy, particularly the steel frame.
Easy to erect with two 6'4' sons but when just my wife and I it requires some patience - not difficult just, big, heavy and time consuming.
Once pitched. It is as solid as they come withstanding all weathers.
Only once have we had a problem and that wasn't the tent but the ground. Ground became completely water-logged so much so that I could slid my hand into the ground beyond the depth of the pegs! Needless to say there was nothing holding the tent down when the wind got under it. We have since invested in 6 Delta Ground Anchors and though I doubt if even they would have helped in that extreme, we now sleep in absolute confidence no matter the weather.
Why not 10/10 - It's simply too heavy and it's pitched inner first. Vango's Zambezi fixed the inner first question, but sadly, that too is now discontinued.

My husband and I have a Vango Aspen 7000DLX tent, and have been camping in it many times all over the country. Although it does take us some time to put up it is easy and straight forward to do. WE love the space it provides inside - it is cavernous! - which means we can have all the home comforts we want and still have plenty of room. We find the tent very good in all weathers,in winter we always try to have an electric hook up so we can use fan heater which we find keeps us lovely and warm - in fact more cosy and warm than our fiends who were in a caravan! We particulrly like having all the doors and windows with inner mesh panels which are great for stopping any biting insects getting into the tent! All in all we think its a great tent and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone

I bought this tent off eBay last year because of the brilliant reviews I've read on here and I absolutely LOVE it. There's only two of us, a toddler and golden retriever so this tent gives us a lot of space and we're not falling over each other. The space in the bedrooms is brilliant (we can fit out double height, king sized air bed plus toddler's readybed and the dog/her bed in the 3+2 bedroom with the divider tied back with space to walk around it, we then have the other double bedroom on the left as a changing/dressing room and general dumping ground!
The only reason I've given this 9 out of 10 is because of our most recent trip over Jubilee bank holiday weekend to Devon. We packed up in the biggest downpour ever, we managed to take our Aspen 700 and a tunnel tent down in 30 minutes . But got soaked through to the skin! Because of the design of this tent (pitching the inner first) it means when taking it down you have to remove the fly sheet first which exposes the inner tent to the rain (which is not waterproof) and this meant that we had two pieces of tent to dry when we got home. Normally I would have just draped it around the garden and over garden toys & the trampoline, however the rain continued and this was not an option and the garage is not an option as a drying space either. I ended up drying it in the house and had to keep moving it around to let the next bit dry which took around 3 days for the two parts but part of that is the limited space in our little house.
don't get me wrong this is a brilliant tent and I absolutely adore it but bear it mind that it is VERY large and, if you're unlucky with the weather like we were, drying it out back at home could be difficult.

Have had this tent a few years now and we love it for our family of 4 the kids have a bedroom each with load of room for clothes, when the weather is poor there is loads of room inside to lounge around, takes a while to erect and you certainly couldn't do it alone, the inner between the largest bedroom and 1 smaller bedroom can be tied back which was a benefit when we the kids were young as they felt they were in same room, but now they are bigger its too handy for visitors in the night, i.E 3 in the bed! would recommend to anyone who wants a large watertight tent and no problem in the wind.

Vango Aspen 700 (not DLX) I love our tent. We have got putting this up to a fine art. The first time was hard but after a few times it is ok. We have been in it in some horrendous weather but we know that it will stand up to most things. The only downside/problem is that sometimes if it has been raining for a long time, water does seem to drip from the skylight windows the the left and right of the main door - it seems to seep along the fly sheet and along the poles and some how find its way in - It is only a little puddle - nothing major!

Love this tent, does take a while to put the tent up ( got it down to about an hour now) following instruction video off you-tube! But is worth the time it takes. Tent is great size, has great features, plenty of storage pockets, space to put everything you need, plenty of vents and windows and doors. Can't really find fault with it. The only thing bad from my point of view is the weight of the tent poles once they are all in the bag, have to let the men do the lifting!
Tent very waterproof and great when windy!

An absolute beautiful tent for a large family. Very light and airy in colour, plenty of storage pockets. Not the quickest to put up, but we put it up in high winds and had the outer sheet blowing vertical, once fixed down we felt secure inside unlike some others on the site. It takes a lot to store but what do you expect from such a large solid tent.
I would buy again anytime.
