What do I like about this tent?
Very easy to erect, I did a practice run at home which took about 20 mins. When I took it apart I left the inside sleeping area attached so the second time I used it I didn't have to clip that in and saved 5 mins.
I and 5' 8 and can stand up inside without any troubles.
The communal area is a great space, I had furniture and chairs and still lots of room.
Steel poles offered me peace of mind knowing it could handles even gale force winds.
Carpet and ground sheet made it very luxurious and had 2 campers ask me about the tent as they was looking for an upgrade.
Plenty of windows which allowed lots of light inside when needed.
What don't I like?
Nothing.

We actually own the Calisto 600XL- basically, the standard tent with the added canopy. This tent is fantastic! We are a family of 4, (Two adults, 1 large dog, and one medium) and we have just returned from a fortnight in Scotland. The tent is fairly easy to erect and take down, (but, being sturdy, it is heavy!) and the space in there is wonderful- large window and two large doors allow plenty of light, and keep out the midges, and keep the dogs in!
The steel poles are extremely sturdy, and we did suffer high winds near the coast- no problems for this tent!
All in all, a wonderful tent for the whole family, (be they have two legs or four paws) Plenty of space for your camping needs, and should the weather be against you, you can always sit by the window and admire the views! We cannot wait to use this tent again- great stuff!

We bought this tent to replace our first tent the Icarus 500. The main reasons are steel poles and the price in Jan 2013 £138.00 a bargain for such a good tent.
It is well made, packs very easily into its bag with space to spare, easy to pitch with two people, you can with one however this would be much easier with the Icarus. Good head height and design.
The tent is versatile; tent on its own is a great weekend tent, with the canopy creates a large long stay tent. You may not need another tent.
The minor minus points the steel poles can stick as mentioned some 3in1 oil will remedy this; the living area is not huge and if you want more buy the canopy.
Easy to pitch and easy to live with sums up the Calisto 600.

Use this tent first time the weekend great all round tent no prob putting up or down we had a little rain and it kept dry ( no leaks )
It has plenty of room I will say only downside is the sleeping areas could do with being darker and have a thicker fabric slightly on the thin side !
This tent kept us nice and warm all the zips were great they have fly nets attached which is a plus all the ground sheet all sewn in so keeps all the insects etc out , it also has storage compartment and little side pockets in the sleeping area
We will be keeping this tent and look forward to using it again !

We wanted a smaller tent, and I came across this tent on Go-outdoors web site for £160.00 in their sale. Im not sure if it is a 2012 0r 2013 model. I received the tent and have pitched it in the garden, it took me just under an hour,(hoping to improve on that with practice). I am very pleased with the size of the tent and the pack size. The living room is not that large but you can extend it with the porch to give more living space. 2 nice large doors with Flyscreens. This is a great tent for weekend or if like us just wanted a smaller tent.

I read so many reviews for different tents and decided on this one due to having steel poles. A sewn in ground sheet was important as well as ventilation. We were in a coast area which had high winds and it rained. The tent was very sturdy and held well in these high winds. The tent was perfect for us and is very spacious. The inner pods don't give you much privacy if that is what you want but as a family it was fine. The lights out is not as dark as I thought it would be. It did not stop my 5 year old from waking as it was still quite light.

We have had this tent a year now, it has been out in all weathers and still looks as good as new. We are a family of 4 with a dog and theres plenty of space for us all. It is relatively easy to put up, you do need two people though to rear it up. The steel poles make it nice and sturdy and are easy to put together. The latest edition was the carpet and the footprint. The carpet adds that extra bit of comfort and the footprint makes pitching that little bit easier. Overall it is our first tent and we are very happy.

Went to Cornwall last week, yes it rained and rained some more, but this tent was brilliant, cosy, warm ,and lots of space. There was just two of us but you can get quite a few more in, even the scouts if you wanted too. I've bought many tents and wasted lots of money, by far this is the best tent so far

I got one of these a few weeks ago and have yet to use it in 'anger' however, I did set it up and spend a night out in the back garden.
There seemed to be a lack of info on the Internet about this specific tent so I thought I would document my first experience of it for the benefit of others.
Firstly, I have put some videos up on youtube in case anyone wants to see the tent being erected and also a tour of the inside and the tent with the canopy.
A few points I learned during my initial set up.
1 : It can be put up by 1 person but you need one other person to help 'walk out' the tent.
2 : I advise putting a bit of 3in1 oil on the pole connectors before you put them together, they are a bugger to take apart once they are in place.
3: Leave the front door open a little when putting it up, you will see in the video how the vacuum created when trying to pull out the front prevented me from pegging out.
4: When putting the poles in, point them towards the back!
5: It does NOT weigh 17.1Kg as stated on the stats above, it does NOT weigh the 19.05Kg as stated on the bag! It weighs about 24Kg according to my scales.
6: Get some decent pegs, the ones that come with this are bog standard and bend very easily.
Ok. Well here are the vids

I looked at the Outwell Magic and the Kampa Frinton 5 along with this tent when I was looking to upgrade and this tent won due to having an enclosed canopy and the price, I got the full set up (tent, canopy, footprint and carpet) for £300 (inc P&P) which is just a little more than it would cost for either the Outwell or the Kampa alone.
Hope the above is useful, all in all I am happy with the tent, I gave it a good hosing down and it rained during the night I stayed and not a leak to be seen. It's got excellent room and plenty of pockets. The front canopy adds a huge amount of space and the general quality of the zips and fastening is good.
Happy camping!

Bought this tent from Yeoman’s in Sept 2011 as part of a package with the footprint and enclosed canopy.
I found it easy enough to pitch without too much of a fight with the ring and pins. It was a bit too big for me to pitch single handedly but with a minimal hand from my 12 year old - we got there!
The tent is well proportioned. It has a light airy feeling. Neither the front or side door zip goes all the way around - which I find a bit odd. Both inner mesh doors do zip fully around, but the outer fly doors do not zip across the bottom – I assume this could be draughty and possibly allow water in?
I am disappointed with the inner tent sleeping area. The concept of 'lights out' made me think the inner would be relatively substantial. I did not find it to be so. It is very lightweight and thin fabric which does not, in my opinion, warrant the phrase lights out!
The inner tent is easy to clip to the main body of the tent. For those who like to retain the separated sleeping compartment it might be worth noting that the divider in this tent is fine mesh like fabric, which is around 4 inches smaller all round than the inner and is held in place by 4 clips on a fabric string. Thus once in place you can see over the top, around the sides and under the bottom of the divider as it does not meet the inner tent at all. Thus there is neglible privacy. This was a drawback for us but may not be for others who prefer one big open sleeping area. We had a Vango Aspen before and thus were indulged with very substantial inner sleeping areas - clearly though at a heavier weight.
The canopy is an excellent addition and after some messing about to ensure the main tent was not compromised by the canopy in terms of water collection points – it went well.
First time pitch, in the confined space of the back garden, including canopy was around 45 minutes for mother and daughter which is not too bad and should speed up as we get more familiar with it.
That aside the tent itself has been up for a week and I am pleased over all.
