My husband is 60+ and disabled but we love camping, so we arrive at the campsite, I suggests he has a rest in the car and I put the tent up, including pegging and set up of guy ropes took me about 15 minutes. Its big enough for a folding frame bed (can't remember the name). Putting it down can be longer but it is a dream to use.

We upgraded our airbeam flux 500 to this eternity 600 as our weekend tent its a great tent lots of room and very easy to pitch.

I know the ads say pitch time is 5 mins but we get this from out of the car to pegged and guyed including the footprint in around 20 mins 15 mins if its raining.

We soley bought this tent as we have an Outwell Vermont xlp and needed something easy to pitch for overnight or couple of night stays and this does it brilliantly plenty of living space and big bedrooms as there are only me the wife and the dog me and the wife have the larger bedroom with the divider rolled up and the dog has his crate in the 2 berth pod.

We recently went to pentewan sands campsite in Cornwall with friends who didn't own a big enough tent for a weeks stay so they borrowed the eternity and we went in our xlp and I was a little bit jealous of how good the eternity looked and coped in the coastal winds much so we even thought about selling the xlp

I would definitely recommend one and if any one asks my advice on tents I always seem to mention the airbeams as you can have a really big and airy family tent and none of the hassles of pitching a big tent I would know we have to pitch both

Proud Owners of Vango Airbeam Eternity 600!

Having previously seen an Airbeam on a campsite back in 2012 we have been intrigued ever since. Purchasing one this year was not on our agenda however we had already set our sights on an Eternity 600 only to learn it was being discontinued as a 2012 model. In the end we splashed the cash and invested in one, even raided the piggy bank! We have upgraded from a Vango Tigris 400.

We are not disappointed and that is an understatement. Used for the first time on an exposed site on the south coast where we experienced gusts of up to 50mph and lashing rain. The tent was very solid, we had pumped our beams to around 4.5/5psi, and we didn’t even use the tension straps. For a first outing in those conditions we feel the tent is well worth the cost (£699). We have a black pump which we understand is the latest version the original being yellow. The tent was pitched within minutes. We even managed to get it back into the bag at the end of the weekend without too much trouble, no mean feat! We leave the sleeping compartments in place when packing away.

Extremely roomy for 2 adults and we comfortably fitted 5 people in there one evening. A very light and airy tent with windows to the front and sides and the 2 side doors as well as the main door also have mesh doors to allow air through. We love the small porch over the main door which shields the door when it’s raining. We are using the extra sleeping compartment as storage and have opened up the other so to have a bigger area for the air bed with plenty of room to store a crate for clothes. The carpet just adds a luxury when camping!

Just an update on our tent. Used it for the second time this past weekend. We stayed at Stowford Farm Meadow which was lovely. The place is huge and the facilities we really good. When we got there it was quite windy which slowed down the pitching process by about 10 minutes. Finally got it pitched and all our gear inside and the wind picked up and they rain joined in. It stayed a mix of wind and rain on and off until Monday afternoon. The tent took everything that mother nature threw at it and just shrugged it off. We used the TBS system which makes a big difference and also gives you that extra reassurance that the tent will stay standing. Really can't recommend this tent enough.

Lovely tent but not if your camping is primarily with an electrical hook up.

The only cable tidies are on the beam right in front of the bedroom. Therefore the only place you can hang a light without the cable dangling to the floor is the bedroom. The last thing I want to do is keep my kids awake.

The layout of the tent means that the kitchen area will be at the front but the electrical input point is at the back meaning unnecessary cables running along the tent and under a side door. You would then need to run a lighting cable back again! Again no good with younger children.

Also no light hanging point on either beam near the front so you can't get an electrical light near the kitchen.

You cannot make ANY changes to the tent (sewing, sticking etc) without invalidating your 2 year warranty and as there still seems to be some teething problems with these type of tents, not something I am prepared to do.

If you don't want electrics in your tent then great. There are two hooks on the back and central beam where you could hang a battery powered light. To overcome that no hanging point at the front, you would just put a battery light on a table etc. Great tent as commented on by others.

I wanted to take this tent abroad and do more camping in the UK with electrical hook ups and to me this tent is simply not fit for the purpose. If I can't add cable tidies up the beams without loosing my warranty then the tent is no good.

I am still awaiting further feedback from Vango as I can't take the tent back without paying a return fee to the camping shop.

Just come back from a short break in the New Forest and had our first camp in our new Eternity 600. It was also the first time our 19 month old had been camping so I was hoping that the tent wouldn't let me down in any way. What can I say, the tent is amazing. Really strong winds when we got to the site but once I had the footprint pegged down in position I rolled the tent out, pegged the four corners out and started to pump the beams up. 10 minutes later the tent is pegged down and guyed out and I'm standing there with a cider in my hand and a smug look on my face. The tent took a battering from the wind but was as rock steady as our friends tent with steel poles (Vango Zambezi 500dlx). Loads of room inside for all our gear, my partner, me and our little boy. I inflated the beams to 5 psi although Vango had advised that I could go up to 7 psi. They still felt solid and showed no signs of leaking air. If we'd been staying longer then I would have also put up the matching front canopy.

So for the conclusion. We absolutely love the tent including our little boy who also loved the whole camping experience. Simply and easy to pitch and to pack away into the bag. The bag is big enough to get the tent, footprint, pegs and pump into it.

Yes, it is a very expensive tent, but the simplicity and ease along with the fact that I can pitch the tent while my partner looks after our little one, makes it worth every penny. We can't wait for our next trip in it.

Was very apprehensive when my other half came home with the airbeam due to the reviews I have read on here but we were looking for a large tent that I could pitch myself so other half could join us in the evening . We needed a large tent as we have three big dogs .

Anyway our first pitch I was waiting on the normal rows tears and snotters that normally appear when we are trying to pitch a tent not with the airbeam it was up in about five minutes it felt huge inside I was able to get both queen size raised air beds up in the bedroom at the rear so we then had the rest off the tent as living space. It was great to have loads off room for the dogs and out chairs etc.

The weather was really bad gale force winds terrible rain and the campsite was emptying bit by bit as people were struggling a few tents were blowing about.

The airbeam stayed up the best, no water inside and hardly moving.

Day three however and when still in bed the back airbeam collapsed on us however this was our fault as we had not been checking the air in the beams and also the guy rope in the back had came out . So I would suggest every night just check the air pressure and top up if required.

I can't recommend the airbeam enough it will change the summer months this year for us as it means I can go pitch myself for other half to join us after work. Also the space inside is fantastic, we do not have children but it would give fantastic space for a family. I am so excited to get back out in it this year again.

Upgraded to Eternity 600 to make it easy to pitch when just me and the kids

What a disaster, used it twice , Puddles everywhere and at 4am in the rain the rear tube collapsed, everything soaking wet

Back to winfields who told us that Vango now say to put 7psai in the tubes but our pump only allows you to put 4 psi in. All credit to winfields gave us full refund and we are going to buy the Amazon 600 instead, same tent but with steel poles

Eternity will be a great tent if Vango can sort the problems as it such a great idea and easy to use

I bought this tent for the sole reason I am a single parent to two young children who love to camp. I need a tent that I can pitch on my own in the least amount of time possible.

I bought the tent on a Friday put it up as a trial run in the garden on the Sunday and the pump snapped pumping the first beam up so took the pump back and it was replaced then went home and carried on pitching the tent. All seemed fine, took it straight down again an hour later knowing I could pitch it alone.Went camping on the Monday got it up in 10-15 mins on my own, then went off exploring with the kids. Came back 3 hours later with the back half of the tent collapsed and spent the next 48 hours continually pumping it up every 1-2 hours had to move the camp beds into the living space during the night and propped it up with a borrowed tent pole! phoned to say I was bringing it back to the shop and was told to make sure the back valve was not threaded and was closed tightly.Redid this twice and also never over filled with air.Still kept on collapsing! took it back to winfields where they replaced two of the beams, I really hope this has fixed the problems.I have yet to try it again but am soooo disappointed.I Love the ease and practicality of this tent for me and my kids but £800 pounds is a lot of money to me and if it wont stay up its No use to me! I'm going camping again in two weeks and I'll let everyone know how I get on!

We eagerly awaited the arrival of our new Vango airbeam 600, which we picked up on June 3rd 2012. We were impressed by the pitching time of 6-10 mins I'm afraid our experience of pitching takes a little longer as my husband won't call the job done until every last peg is in.So from start, about an hour.We also bought the canopy which took about another hour.Discussing with clenched teeth the instruction on the bag that didn't match our canopy.I'm sure we were the entertainment for the whole campsite. The next day we went for a trip out only to find on our return, one of the beams had collapsed. The seam had split on the seal. The two patches supplied couldn't make a seal. We had to take a beam out of the canopy to keep the tent up for the rest of the weekend. Two weeks later, another weekend away and a beam collapsed again so in total 6 nights away camping 2 collapsed beams.Sorry Mr Vango. We are NOT impressed with the £1000 we spent on tent, canopy and footprint.
