Purchased this tent online for about £300 and used it frequently over the last four years but have now upgraded to the Orava 600XL.
Pros.
Strength & stability - the tent stood up to some pretty extreme conditions on at least 3 occasions, storm Katie in 2015 and Eleanor in 2018 along with a rather miserable couple of times in Snowdonia. Although the tent shook quite violently and a couple of guy ropes snapped (easily replaced) it was otherwise unscathed and dry inside. With the TBS system deployed it really aided stability but this is better suited to wind coming at the tent from the sides. The brand new Anteus 600 pitched next to us in storm Eleanor was a write off and leaked very badly.
Size - only two of us and two dogs so oodles of room even with the kitchen inside, a table, two chairs and a sofa. The bedrooms were set up with two camp cots in the main bedroom with a dog bed between and the extra bedroom as a changing room but even when we had two guests it was big enough. The living area was able to accommodate 8+ with chairs when we had a social gathering on one group camping trip.
Ventilation - plenty of this all round with the mesh doors on all three entry points and the two low level vent points not to mention the one behind the bedroom and the one above the front door. Condensation only appeared when it was really cold on a couple of occasions and this was only minor.
Pitching - With practice I had this down to about 10 minutes and could pitch it on my own in 20 if I had to. Best to remove the inner bedrooms to prevent them being put under tension whilst pitching the flysheet. The time was taken up mostly by trying to fit the associated carpets and sort out the EHU, furniture etc.
Cons
Cable entry point - there is only one. Definitely one either side needed.
Pitching location - With the bedrooms end pitched into the prevailing wind it's relatively stable and can hold up to some strong gusts but if the front of the tent is exposed to the wind it can be tricky as the front is a vertical wall which gets quite distorted with strong wind hitting it square on so be careful how you pitch this tent on exposed sites. Luckily I was able to weight this down in storm Eleanor preventing the front from lifting.
Overall a really good tent for the first time family camping trip, you definitely need the footprint and the carpet. We invested in carpets to fit the bedrooms and an extra carpet in the living area for the extra warmth underfoot. A couple of Outwell LED mains lanterns for the living area and a small oil filled radiator for the bedroom. Can't fault this tent and if Vango had made an updated 2018 model I'd probably have bought it rather than the Orava, just wanted that built in porch area for cooking.

We’ve been away in this tent a few times and each time it’s put up I’m impressed with the amount of space it provides. There is stand up room in both bedroom pods and the back wall does not slope too low so I am able to use our raised airbeds. It takes us about 30 – 40 mins to put up including pegging, I leave the bedroom pods in when packing away and everything fits easily back into the bag, although it’s quite heavy and I have to separate the poles if I am carrying it on my own.
I use the Samara with a Vango Astoria canopy which fits quite well as a side porch so I can keep the front of the tent open.
The tent is totally waterproof, on the last trip we had constant torrential rain and high winds for over 12 hours and we stayed completely dry.
I would happily recommend this tent!
The only changes I would make are
• Zipped cable entry points on both sides
• Provide a wheeled bag
• Produce a side canopy/porch for this tent as the available front canopy is far too big/long.

This year is the 3rd time we've used our new Vango Samara 600. Yet again the half-term break we've just returned from rained the majority of the time. The tent is easy to put up (we've now got it to 20 minutes) and 15 to pack away neatly in the bag. The only thing is that my tiddly husband yanked the front door zip too hard and make it jump off the end. The very high winds/rain were kept well at bay by closing the broken door with the velcro patches. We just used one of the two side doors after that. I now have to hunt around to try and find a repair shop as I wish to save this fantastic tent. Stands up to high winds and heavy rain for hours. The space inside fits up to 6 and you have plenty of space for oblong table/chairs. Only suggestion for future models is that Vango put in the electric inlet on both sides, not one as our electric hookup point meqnt we had a lead on the grass laying in front of the tent.

We bought this to replace our ageing Vango V500. Very impressed with the build quality, storage space, ease of erection and repacking. Have used it 5 times this year, twice in heavy rain ( the joys of UK camping ! ), and once in high wind. We never had a drop of rain in the tent.
However this tent does not cope with high winds ( 23 - 25mph + gusts according to the weather forecast ).
Overnight one of the tensioners separated from the roof of the tent, and the second had torn half way through.
We started to empty the tent and pack, when two poles failed at the same time, causing the tent to collapse.
This tent is great, but does not cope with winds.
Our next tent will still be a Vango as their build and layout is very good, but it will have metal poles, not flex poles.

Just had our second outing with this tent and the awning. Even the rainiest June in 100 years couldn't make our tent leak!
With the awning the tent in enormous. The awning allowed us to keep food and mud outside the main tent. The only complaint being that it also covers most of the windows for the tent and results in a little less breathability.
It's hard to get anything wrong with the setup as we're not really hardcore campers and we still managed to put it up while watching a six-year-old and a toddler.
It's definitely a tent to be comfortable in - maybe a bit big for a weekend only camp!

Just used our new Vango Samara 600 for the first time this half-term at a site near Alton Towers. It rained the whole 4 days but the tent withstood the wind and rain. It was easy to put up (35 mins) and the bedrooms hung into place. I might velcro patches to attach the dividing curtain to the back seam for more privacy for my teenage son and daughter. Tension bands did their job well. Pockets handy but not too much weight. Light and spacious - we needed our oblong table n chairs inside the whole time. I recommend an eye mask for deep sleep as the light still comes thru in the bedrooms. My only niggle was the zip for the electric cable only one side and this effects which hook up you attach to. Great tent and my daughter and myself (a weak female) erected the outer in our back garden when we got it last autumn to check for faults on our own. We took photos of each stage of how the main tent was folded and typed a A4 sheet with instructions n photos to help us remember how to fit it back into the bag with ease! Can't wait for our 2 weeks summer hols.

We used our tent for the first time this weekend at the Tudorpark Campsite nr Slimbridge.
It was the Jubilee weekend and a very wet weekend at that. This tent is a good as the rest of the reviewers say it is. It is very easy to pitch and take down. The space in it is superb and the living area accommodated us an our 10 fellow campers to sit around in the evening - warming the tent whilst they were about it!

First time using it this weekend. It was ok to put up and stood up to the wind we had over the weekend well. The only problem we had was putting in the storm shelter canopy. It seemed to tight so we gave up before damaging the tent. We are a family of 5, two adult and 3 kid and the sleeping arrangement of 2*2*2 or 4*2 suited us great. Overall it has loads of room and as we had the front canopy it was great for us.

Love this tent when it is sunny its keeps the heat in very well and when its it cold and raining no leaks what so ever. It took me and a friend 45 mins to put up the first time and 25 mins to put in the bag. Bag is heavy but this is like the mercedes benz of tents. Also no creepy crawlies and no bother. Love that
