Just back from our first weekend in our new Maritsa 700 and we were really impressed with it. It's a big improvement on our 3 year old Colorado as it feels a lot more sturdy. It was quite easy to put up took 2 people about 45 mins. The pins on the steel poles are quite stiff but that was the only thing that slowed us down. The bedrooms fasten in nicely and have more than enough room to stand up in. There are 4 of us - we use the '3' berth room and our kids have a 'double' room each. You could fit more in, but 7 would be cramped.

There is heaps of living space and the large porch meant that we could keep all our kitchen equipment out there, leaving lots of space in the main tent living area. At one point 10 of us were sat comfortably on chairs inside with loads of space.

Although there is heaps of living room in the tent, the design means that there isn't an unreasonably large footprint so you could get the tent on most pitches.

All in all we are very pleased with the upgrade. Thoroughly recommend this tent

Cant fault the tent for size and design, really good layout. Problem was leaked badly through the windows and could be seen dripping of the window pulls on to the floor. Sent it back to vango via the distributor and Vango said they tested it thoroughly and it was condensation but there was only 3 of us and it sleeps seven. Also didn't have any heat in the tent to cause condensation either, never had a problem with other smaller tents with 5 of us sleeping. There was too much water to be condensation and it was raining at the time, and if we had bought the carpet as well it would have been ruined.

A great looking, very practical tent.

We used this for the first time on May Day bank holiday. It took less than an hour to erect, but definitely needs two people. The poles are quite heavy (and the bag is not going to last long) However, once it's up, the rest is easy.

The three bedrooms are a good size, and using the pole in the middle room means that we don't have to bring the old collapsible wardrobe any more.

The 3 entrances are another good idea, and allow for plenty of ventilation. The living area is spacious, and made even better by the carpet that we bought with the tent. We used the porch as a kitchen, but the window and vent meant that I could keep an eye on the kids but keep them away from the stove.

The one disappointment we had was that it let in rain!

Vango have told us that they are unable to put heat-sealing strips over the zip areas, and this is where the water came in, through several windows.

I'm waiting for a better response and solution from them, and Go Outdoors, where we purchased the tent from. If you're selling a tent in the UK, then surely it has to withstand our weather!?!

Overall, a nice tent

Everything you need in a family tent!

Arrived this week so today was our first time putting it up. Fairly straightforward although we really struggled to get the pins into the bottoms of the poles - any tips gratefully received! We also bought the footprint and carpet which make the overall quality even better.

Love the separate porch and the living area is spacious and light. Middle bedroom bit small but we only need 2 bedrooms at the moment so will use that as a wardrobe/storage area.

Looking forwards to our first trip away and will post a new review once we've tried it out properly for a few days.

Picked up the Maritsa 7 for a good deal of £399 - best thing I've bought for a long time.

It's large with loads of space in the living area and the porch. We liked the fact that there are

Two areas - 1 for wet boots , cooking and keeping the kitchen stuff and 1 for when you want to cuddle down and play cards or read a book when raining or at night.

The bedrooms are 2 , 2 and 3 person - the middle 2 should be really a 1 as it is small but works well as a closet or storage area.

We have 2 adults and 3 kids(13,10 & 4) and fit in comfortably with lots of space for all to sit and play.

The tent comes in a good size bag and although quite heavy it's easy to move around. The poles feel very heavy and a better bag to carry would be welcome.

It took us aprox 50min to pitch with 2 people (3rd time pitching so we hope to get this down to 30min max. )

- you will need 2 people to pitch as it can be tricky lifting the tent up.

Having the 3 entrances (with flyscreens to keep the bugs out) allow good flexibility to most pitches and good air flow through the tent.

Still be tested in really bad weather but I'm confident it will hold up.

I would recommend it for a family of 5/6.

Pro's

Space

Living room / porch split

Cons

Pole bag - heavy and new carry bag needed

We chose this tent for our 5 member family due to its large living space and and excellent porch area. We used it first on easter weekend at Santa Pod raceway in high winds, heavy rain and very slippy clay/mud underfoot, despite the terrible weather conditions the tent was easily put up within an hour (not the stated 30mins)by myself and my hubby. The tent was very sturdy and coped easily with the bad weather, we felt very secure. The tent did not leak at all, not a drop!

The sleeping area consists of two double rooms, one of which can be used as a utility/storage area and comes with a removeable hanging rail and the other is a large 3 person room which has a zip which can be opened up into the storage area nextdoor. The porch area is an excellent space where we did all our cooking and stored all our muddy boots and clothes.

This is an excellent tent and suited all our family needs. The only possible problem is the flimsy bag in which the very heavy steel poles come in, it makes no sense and im expecting it to be ripped on the next outing! the tent however came in a very handy holdall type bag with sturdy handles and wheels. I also recommend purchasing the footprint and the carpet, We purchased the tent, footprint and carpet at GoOutdoors in Stockport in april for £460.
