Our first camping expedition in this tent was fantastic. LOADS of positive points for this tent- lots of ventilation, bedroom pods zip in the middle also so you can see the kids without getting up!, large living area for a family of 4, very very stable (we camped on the east coast and the wind is constant and very strong. This tent didn't budge an inch, easy to put up (20 mins with the help of the you Tube video).

We replaced one pod with the outwell kids room which is fantastic, kids love it (5 + 2 years).

Only quibble is the front door velcro closure at the bottom which does let in the rain a bit. Think we will definitely buy the extension for next time.

I love this tent!

Would have given a 10/10 rating, however our only complaint is regarding the side door canopy which we found to have a little too much tension on the inner door zipper! Having said that, it's cause could well be down to us and our assembly. We also bought the awning which has proved a wonderful addition to the huge main tent.(You can never have too much space) I'm also considering buying the extension, which I know will be just as excellent as the main tent and awning. We had visiting relatives on our weekend break and ended up with 4 adults and 4 children sleeping comfortable, with space to spare. Enjoy your Montana 6 you won't be disappointed.

We're delighted with our Montana 6, having bought it at the start of the season as an upgrade from a cheaper three bedroom pod-type tent. The Montana far outshines all the others we looked at before making our choice, the living space for us makes it unbeatable. We have the extension too and use that for cooking and a table, and we use the side door part for our loo. Plenty of ventilation and windows make it nice and airy in hot weather and in bad conditions it stands up brilliantly. Like many other people have mentioned without the extension the slant of the door can be a bit of a nuisance if its raining but all the other plus points far outweigh that one little issue, and I guess it was designed that way for a reason, I imagine to make it more streamlined in the wind etc.

Definitely would recommend it for families or those who like a holiday to not be all cramped up and squashed in.

Just back from a week away with our 9 month old, the tent was fantastic and held up to everything the weather threw at us. Plenty of room for us all and never felt that we were on top of each other. Having the front extension was a real bonus as we were able to use the front doorway in the rain without getting wet!

A fantastic sized tent for 4 people. We also have the front extension too. Until we brought the extension we used the side door (not the porch) as our main entry. With the extension we now use the front door, we have our table out in the extension and also the cooker too. Even with a pup tent inside we still have room (If needed)for a double airbed in the inside of the tent, - great when you've injured yourselves and cant make it into the bedroom. We use the porch area to keep the fridge in and almost always keep the outside porch door open for ventilation.

The tent had stood up to several storms thunder etc and torrential rain without any problems. We don't have the carpet but are normally plenty warm enough, unless we camp in the uk when a woolly hat is ideal night time wear!

The tent has never let us down, it is a great size for 4 people, my eldest sleeps in a pup tent inside the main tent and it all fits nicely. In France we normally have a gazebo at the front of the extension too for shade, but so we can keep the breeze too. The storage pockets are brilliant too. When we are in the south of France, even at night we only ever shut the mozzie screens to the windows and doors.

The only gripes I have is that the bedrooms are a wee bit small for a double airbed, there is only room to walk down one side of the bed (our old small tent had more bedroom room). And also getting an electric light safely to the extension, we seem to need to run the cable outside the tent or under it and then cable the light in the extension.

If we ever replace the tent it will be for exactly the same model! It stands up to the weather, is water proof and a great size for 4.

Just back from 2 weeks in St Ives Cornwall where the tent done really well in heat, wind and rain ( no cold to test it) including a 14 hour stint of constant rain with no leaks. Made with excellent quality throughout, the only real fault being, as stated, the design of the front door. We had the awning with us and I can highly recommend it. Normally I don't sleep well in a tent when there is a hooly blowing outside, having had one all but blow away one night a few years ago, but after our fist night and the way it stood up to it, I enjoyed feeling cosy and safe on subsequent windy nights.

One thing, I was told that the tent and awning were less than 8m long, they're not, they are about 8.5m so you need to be careful you don't book a site run by tape measure fascists. All in all a cracking family tent for the money.

Great tent, lots of room compared to our previous tent (Vango Orchy 500)but a lot heavier too. Only gripe is the seam of the outer above the bedroom ripped when my daughter fell against it, so we had to unclip the inner and rely on the elasticated straps to hold it up. Stood up well in strong winds, and the side porch was used as our main entry point. We will be adding the awning soon, as I think this is a great family tent.

Brilliant tent, loads of space and it feels really safe and warm. We are a small family with a 1 year old and the space is really important when the weather is naff as he still needs space to run about. We bought the tent last year from go outdoors for £296 and just added the extension which is essential. We are umming and arhhing about the carpet now too. We recently went to Cornwall in it for 8 nights and even though it rained and was windy we did not notice anything. The only downside is . Is it too big for a weekend camping trip??

Love this tent, it is great!

We use the side porch as a night time loo (or occasionally in torrential rain!).

The only gripe we have with this tent is the front door not being fully zipped, the velcro at the base of this doesn't keep out the draughts in windy weather. Also, in wet weather this door does let in a large amount of water as you go in and out, and is almost impossible to use without getting wet! We overcome this problem by attaching the canopy to the front, but this isn't always suitable in high winds.

Other than this the tent is fabulous, loads of room for all your stuff, even if the kids are playing on the living room floor while you are using your kitchen. The pockets are great for organising and tidying whilst having everything to hand. The bedrooms, whilst big enough for 3 each are real luxury for just 2. - room for luggage and lots of toys!

In hot weather it really opens up so you can enjoy the day.

Bought our Montana 6 last year having caught the camping bug following a few trips in our halfords cheapie. Used the tent 4 times this year and find it difficult to find fault. After the first time it is pretty easy to erect once you have the hang of it and very simple to dismantle. Great to have so much stand up room in the living area. IF I had to find fault, we usually have to fold and roll up the tent a couple of times to get it small enough to fit in it's carry bag, but that's it. Would definitely recommend getting the ground sheet and carpet too.
