This is a very good tent.It's our 5th! All our previous models have been 3 podded things that don't fit in pitches and take an age to pitch. We love the simplicity of this tent. Our first attempt took us 45 minutes, I think as we were so used to over-complicating things. Now we have it all pitched, pegged and ready to go in that time. The bedrooms, once fitted, can be left in the tent when packed away.

It sleeps me and the husband on a double air bed in one side and our 3 small children on a double air bed in the other. There is space left for our bags at the foot. Each side has pockets by the bedroom doors.

The front of the tent is large enough for 2 chairs and the kids to play in if the weathers bad. It has large windows that make it feel spacious and light. Also a whole central strip of pockets (more than we know what to do with)

But this tent depends on how long you'll use it and how many people you intend to fit in it. For a weekend it's fantastic. We've used it twice for week long holidays and I tend to start to go a little crazy. We have a gazebo, which without it,we wouldn't cope. There is no room in a tent of this size for your gas cooker and camping furniture if you have kids. But if you are a couple than there is tons of space!

This was our first tent.Last year we went away for a five weekends and for a ten day holiday also.Both bedrooms took two good sized blow up beds.I was a bit disappointed in the living room space.Because of the angle of the front the roof space really doesn't match up to the floor space.Also as said before it isn't nice getting in and out in the rain.It really needs a porch.However it is a very well made tent.It never let us down in really bad weather.It was fairly easy to put up and take down.The colour coded poles make it foolproof. The pegs however are not great.I replaced mine with steel ones.The plastic ones bend at the bottom too easily and a couple broke at the top.It goes back into the carrier bag comfortably.For two adults and two kids its a great weekend tent but I would go for a bigger tent for a longer holiday, which is what I did and I was so pleased with the Outwell build quality I just purchased an Outwell Monterey 5.

Tent was brilliant, went away by myself, so this was my first time putting tent up from new, took me a good 20 mins by myself, But I have to admit, I did need someone the other side to hold the poles in place why pulling up and snapping into place, but once up was a doddle, So If I can do it as a single woman anyone can I recommend this tent if there is two adults & maybe two children, I love the way you can detached the bedroom areas for more room, If there is only two, plus the centre pockets for all your stuff in the middle came in very handy as you know what us woman need to take lol, I do recommend the footprint also which came in really handy for me and added warmth to the ground, it stood up to wind and slight rain. But all, in all, very good.

I did purchase the Outwell tarp, as a canopy over front door as I would say this is recommended for this type of tent just in case of heavy downfalls but I didn’t use this at all, the quality of the tent is brill, even down to the tent pegs. Really pleased. Packing away was actually ok no struggling for me at all as bag is very big, I was dreading that part, so I would give my Outwell Oakland L tent 9 out of 10 well done Outwell, and would recommend anyone if they are going for long weekend away or want to purchase this.

This tent has lots of good points but also some bad. Best features are solid quality (stands up well to wind etc), big tall bedrooms, fairly easy to put up (short woman and 2 small kids to hold the poles up!), material and windows let in lots of light so you don't get that gloomy feeling if the weather's wet. Worst features are that you do get that damp feeling.Lots of condensation on all those big windows and the door's at such an angle that you get soaked if you try to go out when it's raining or even if the tent's wet. We camped in fairly heavy rain and got a minor leak (drip) from the zip at the top of the door, but it didn't cause too much trouble. This tent needs a canopy but there isn't one. Another guy said he used it with the outwell tarp but I can't quite imagine how.

Good quality nice looking medium tent but the angle of the door is an obvious flaw.

Great medium size tent. First time putting it up and we were done in 15 mins. Love the way you can unzip and roll away one of the bedrooms, with only two of us using it this gave us alot of room for our stuff and two dogs. There are some nice touches on this tent, like sewn in ground sheet, hanging pockets for small items and electric hook up opening. Bedrooms are a good size with the double air bed in it, we still had room down each side for our torches, books etc.

The only thing a could be negative on is when it rains, if you use the door you have to make sure you hold the door out all the time to stop water from running in the tent. I am going to see if Outwell do a front canopy for this tent. I love sitting in the tent with the door open watching heavy rain, but without a canopy water would fall straight in.

Very easy to pack away, with a nice size bag which the tent will go back into, unlike some where you have to force your tent back into its bag once you have used it.

Great tent for two or two and two small children, but a bit small for four adults. But then theres the Oakland XL which will give you a bit more living area.

Tent was brilliant, went away this weekend, stood up to wind and rain all ok no leaks. Glad we took the Outwell tarp, used as a canopy over front door, saved the rain going in every time we opened the door. Quality even down to the tent pegs. Really pleased. Packing away was actually ok no struggling to get back into the bag.

This is good tent though I am unable to put it up on my own. I need someone the other side and once the poles are clipped in then its easy to finish off. The bedroom area is big and the bed goes front to back easily. Plenty of room for 2 adults maybe 3 or one child. The front door is a problem because of the angle as the rain comes in every time you open the door. You have to try and keep the door flap outside as you open and shut it. It needs a canopy but Outwell do not make one for this tent.Does the tarp fit?? can anyone tell me. I have used this tent for up to 6 nights and it was fine. Much better with the footprint and carpet.

Just Bought the Oatland L, put it up in the back garden, went up a doddle and even easier taking down. Really surprised went back in the bag with room to spare. Watched the video on youtube beforehand. Got a right deal Ł149.95 from Yeomans, so at moment really pleased with quality, proof will be this weekend when we go away. Bought the outwell tarp as well. Will comment again once we've been, thats why only 8/10. Love the colour, massive amount of room in bedrooms.

We bought this to replace our old 3 person tunnel tent as we wanted something easy to put up and that would fit in 2 large campbeds and with stand up headroom. Luckily it fulfils all our criteria. It is very quick to put up even in windy conditions as the groundsheet is pegged first and it is very sturdy. I think it does need 2 people to put it up although we haven't tried it with just one of us. The 2 bedrooms can be turned into 1 large one with lots of space to store stuff and it fits our 2 vango fold out campbeds front to back rather the side to side which is a big plus. The porch area is big enough for 2 people to sit inside on camp chairs with space for storage and 2 small camp stoves. The porch feels really open in poor weather when you have all the windows open

Downsides are: no porch poles included. When its raining and you open the door water gets into the tent very easily due to the angle of the front. Prone to condensation without the footprint.

This is our first tent with SIG and we struggled the first couple of times we pitched to get all the air out. We seem to have found a knack now but it still needs sitting on to squash it so another good reason to buy the footprint!

This is a good sized tent for 2 people if you want something for weekend camping that is sturdy and comfortable. I think it could cope with 2 adults and a child but 2 kids might be a squeeze if you want to utilise the porch area. This is a good 7/10 but with the downsides couldn't quite give it an 8.

We already have the Outwell Florida 6,which is a great tent but we just feel that it is too big to take just for weekend breaks.So we purchased the Oakland L.We put it up in the garden to see how it went up and to check that there were no tears etc. Myself ( woman ) and my 11yr old daughter erected this tent with no problems. It was fairly straight forward. The only reason I didn't give it 10 out of 10 was because the outside door does not zip at the bottom,its just velcro.I could imagine on a very windy night,you would feel a draft.But that seems to be the only fault I can see so far.As I said before,this is only a tent we will use for 2 maybe 3 nights at the most and I feel this tent will be perfect for that.
