We bought one at the beginning of July and my partner has just spent 3 weeks living in it while working away. We were looking for a tent that had a living area as well as a sleeping area that we could stand up in. We were very excited to try it out. We found it very quick and easy to put up, took about 5-10 mins and liked the colour coded poles so we knew which one went where. The sleeping area was spacious but I wouldn't want to sleep 5 in it. We would have liked a loop that you can hang a lantern from. The living area was huge and my partner could comfortably stand in it although he is a little over 6 feet tall. However, as in the previous 3 reviews it ripped at the bottom by the door in a moderate gust of wind, and then when it rained we had small puddles on the floor! We went back to Argos, where we purchased it and they said they have discontinued Coleman tents in their new catalogue.

We bought this last year and it was our first tent. First time we took it out the seam by the door ripped so we couldn't use that side, had to ust the other side with the awning. Took it back and got it replaced. Second time we took it out we had strong winds on the east coast and one of the poles snapped so we had to get that repaired. First time out this year the seam on the door has ripped again. We will be replacing the tent soon and won't go for another coleman, as soon as the weather gets a bit gusty I am frightened the tent is going to collapse!

In nice calm weather it is a spacious tent, its comfortable, easy to put up and take down. There are three of us in it and we have plenty of room, just don't take it out in the wind!

Brought this tent in April as a replacement for a Wynster tent that had developed a slight leaking issue. What a mistake that was. . . Arrived in the new forest last weekend, having put the tent up in the garden to ensure all was well, and sadly it was a tad windy where we were. After about 20 mins wrestling with the tent to get it up and guyed, found that there was a seem rip right next to the door. There was then a further 20 mins of swearing and discussion, and the decision that there was little we could do about it now! so we continued, put in the sleeping compartment, remember not to clip it in the middle as we noticed that these were beginning to pull away from the ground sheet! It was now time to nip out for some shopping, so we zipped up the door, only to find the Zip came off in his hand. . . There is NO zip stop at the bottom of the door, a few more mins of swearing and we finally got it back on.

We didn't really have rain, had some strong winds and condensation issues, but no rain, i'm not sure how trusting I would be in the rain as there is no way of securing the bottom of the door, not even a cheap bit of velcro.

So all in all tent is being returned, refund is being demanded, and ROYAL tent is being purchased. You live and learn don't settle for cheap even if it does come with free carpet!

We bought this tent as we wanted a tent big enough for two with room to stand. This was ideal. We hadnt put a tent up for about 10 years and were told this was a simple one to do. It was! Took about 45 minutes completly stress free! Bedroom was spacious but like the other reviews wouldnt like to sleep 5 in there. The living area was also spacious with plenty of room for table and chairs. We had good weather so have no idea how it would cope in rain and wind. My only little bug with this tent was the lack of velcro or zip along the bottom of the doors. Other than that we are very pleased with our £135 tent with carpet!

We bought this tent as it was cheaper than the equivalent Vango tent! I wanted a tent that I could stand up in and was bigger than our previous 3 man tent and this one fitted the bill perfectly and was on special offer on Amazon at only £100 delivered.

On our first outing with the tent we really put it through its paces. Our long weekend in North Devon saw some nasty wind and rain, as well as baking sunshine so we really got the feel for how this tent would cope and I am pleased to say it performed really well.

Pros: Easy to put up and take down, spacious, sturdy, relatively light to transport, looks good and stood up to some very bad wind and rain with no movement, damage and only one teeny, tiny leak. Really like the little zip pocket for your electrical lead to be fed through.

Cons: One whole side of the tent has no guide ropes (the one with the big Coleman symbol on) which made it a bit hairy in the very strong winds we had. Also, the doors just zip down and it would be nice to have some velcro along the bottom to really 'seal' yourself in at night. And it could do with some more pockets in the 'living' area and a loop to hang a light on in the living area.

On the whole I am very pleased with my bargain Coleman tent but I might try another brand next time.

Thankfully I tested putting this tent up in our garden before we went camping. Would have given the tent 10/10 but for the instructions, or lack of. It's been a few years since I put up a tent so I was relying on the instruction sheet which really didn't help at all!

Otherwise, a great tent though I wouldn't be trying for 5 people in the bedroom, it is a neat fit for 4 of us using air beds. Maybe you will get 5 without air beds.

All in all happy with this tent it has stood up to heavy rain and strong winds. Like the other reviews we think there should be a couple of extra attachments at the front and back to stop the tent from flapping about other wise this is a brilliant tent

I would agree with all the above comments. We bought one to use as a weekend away tent (our caravan is stored just that little bit too far away to make it easy for a weekend).

Our first stay in it was a wet, windy one. The tent stayed, up we stayed dry.Result!

However, I had upgraded the guys and added a couple of extras to the living area end and 2 extra on the sleeping area and used much heavier tent pegs, without these additions I'm not sure it wouldn't have become a big kite!

All in all I am very pleased with it, as with the Breeze Blocker windbreak from Gelert (again added guys to all the poles). The changing tent from argos (it was to be a toilet tent) however went straight back into the bag and will be going back. Flimsy weak and not well put together.

Go on try one, we got ours for £139 including the coleman carpet.

Me and my other half bought this tent to upgrade from our 3 man one as we wanted a bit more room and somewhere to put the dogs! I have to admit I had already dismissed this tent when looking online as I thought it would be too small. After visiting a camping outlet we decided that this was ideal and bought one from the shop for a mere £150.00 brand new including carpet!

The sleeping compartments split which was ideal as we put ourselves in one and the clothes/ food in the other (which kept the bugs out). The living area had plenty of space for our 2 chairs as well as a table for those rainy evenings leaving lots of space for our larder, walking gear and dog crate (which is big enough for our Labrador and spaniel together!).

Very easy to pitch with colour coded poles and also packs away well. Took several night of heavy rain without even a hint of a leak. There is a Vango which is similar but I have to say the living area in the Vango is smaller with a bigger sleeping compartment. We felt it was better to have more living space which is why we bought this but I would definitely recommend having a look in the flesh as the web pics do not do the tent any justice!

We bought the Coleman Waterfall 5 Tent as we WERE going to be camping from mid June to end of July across the UK. There are only 2 of us so we wanted good space for both sleeping and living.

First the Pros - good size living area for three (even though there were only two of us) and good bedroom area for a double blow up mattress, and two duffle bags of clothes.

CONS - the guy ropes are thin and the quality in seams and the loops holding guy ropes are weak. There are NO guy ropes for the front of the tent at all. So not idea for winds.

This tent is great for good weather. We used it in Suffolk and it was fine. In the New Forest, we had some rains, and it was fine but one of the guy rope attachments ripped but was still able to hold up, there were a couple of small leaks at the seams.

We camped across South Devon, Cornwall, again all was fine except for a leak here and there.

We went to Wales, St David's area, and with lots of rain and gusty winds the tent was gusted away, the place where the guy rope was already weak, completely broke and we had to roll the destroyed tent up in a ball, throw it away and drive back to London. Before it completely broke, the tent had several leaks in the seems and we had to keep mopping up puddles in the tent.

Overall review: would not purchase another Coleman. Was fine for nice weather, but for rain (as it does here in the UK) and winds, it does not hold up. Think we'll go for a Vango next.
