My girlfriend and I are first time campers looking at many years of affordable camping with comfort and style, we search many 4 man tents and the Easycamp Boston 400 was top of our list at just under £150. Great space easy assembly and many optional extra add on’s at reasonable prices. The bedroom has a large divide which you zip down to make two rooms or fold up and have adequate room space for a large blow up bed and storage area for your clothes and still plenty of room to get changed in. The room is separate from the outer tent which is clipped inside the main outer tent takes some fiddling to clip in if the outer tent is to taught standard fly screens in side which is cool and there’s plenty of ventilation.
The living area is a fair size enough room for two average adults a table and two camping chairs plenty of height and large windows on all sides to let the light in so you don't feel claustrophobic, we kept one window cover up most of the time so we didn't feel on display to rest of campsite and still had loads of light. Unfortunately there are no fly screens in the living area but we were still adequately warm on a late May back holiday weekend with no heater. Advice if you were to buy this tent purchase a good quality tent pegs as the ones that come with tent are a bit flimsy.

This review follows on from the one submitted prior to our first camping trip. We've now spent a 3 night trip under the EasyCamp Boston 400. We used it in tandem with the Canopy and the windbreaker. It performed very well with 2 nights of rain and some average winds. The Canopy does look a little odd but performed very well. I wasn't a fan at the start, but definitely was at the end of the trip. We used a fan heater in the 'living' space, as it was quite cold. It worked a treat and the tent retained the heat no problem. Yes, it would be better if the big windows had fly screens in them (hence only 8 out of 10), but overall, a quality tent. Nice colour that lets the light in. And must say something about those very large windows all the way round in the living space. They are just fantastic! Great when the evening draws in. We watched as night fell on the campsite, from the warmth of this bit. A good buy overall. Recommended. Looking forward to the next trip!

This review is only from setting up the tent in preparation for its first outing this May Bank Holiday. Being seasoned campers, and having owned several other tents, we bought this one for short, weekend breaks. My girlfriend and I like roomy tents with lots of light.
The tent was easy to put up and although there is the company video to show you how to put it up / down. We still struggled to get it into the bag at the end! (but then all tent manufacturers never make the tent bag big enough). However, you do need 2 people to put this up. Its just too big to manage for 1 person.
At this stage, the only constructive comment we would make is to the large side panel windows i.E. These are sealed, but would benefit from being able to open them with a mesh netting to stop the midges and to allow fresh air to flow through.
Overall, build quality is surprisingly good (considering the marketing literature promote this as an entry level tent). But then EasyCamp is a sister company of Outwell.
Have also bought the Canopy and windbreak. Will give you an update when we've put them to the test next weekend (30th April to 3rd May '10)

Manufacturer's Description
The mid-size Boston 400 provides all the benefits of a tunnel tent. However, its size will attract larger families looking for a modern tent with extra living space and good headroom. A zip divider is used to create two bedroom compartments for privacy – each can be entered via its own door. Deep front porch canopy provides superb protection for the entrance and the large vents that sit over the windows. Two panoramic windows keep the interior bright and cheerful no matter the weather, and the full sewn-in groundsheet ensures the tent remains draft and bug free. Optional carpet and footprint enhance the camping experience.
