I have just come back from a weekend on the east coast. First time using this tent. Took longer than expected to put up, but it was the first time in putting this tent up. Did the usual man thing, didn't read the instructions :)

Once it was up, I could not believe how much space there was inside. There were only 3 of us and the sleeping area could easily sleep the 6 it states. As for the living area, there was enough room for a camp kitchen, 4 chairs and table, an inflatable 2 seat sofa and still enough room to move about and cook.

As has been stated before, the zips on the doors do not go all the way to the bottom of the doors so there is a slight gap that will let the draft through when windy. Not a big issue. Can easily be modified with some sticky back velcro. Some people say this tent feels cheap. But for £250 I think the quality is really good. For a top quality tent with the spec that the Boston has you will be looking at triple the price

This tent is the perfect example of Pleasure - Pain!

Reading through the other reviews it looks like everyone has had the same issues generally.

I'll start with the cons and finish with the pros as overall I do like this tent. I will say now I am on my second one as the first had to be replaced after one use.

So, the cons.

-Poor Quality finishing. On both the tents I have had the bedroom doesn't seem to quite fit, the toggles to hold it in place stretch outrageously and often ping off, luckily having 'most' of them in place is enough to keep the bedroom in place and usable.

- The flaps round the doors which are a great idea to fold down, are very loose and can let both water and wind in. I will be taking others advice and installing velcro.

- Even on flat ground the front door is a tight fit to close (my first ripped as it was faulty and over stretched)

- Very few points to actually secure the groundsheet, its all done by guy ropes, no severe weather yet so its been ok.

- General poor quality (first tent had toggles missing and ripped, second one arrived with a broken pole clip)The stitching seems shoddy as does the cut of the material meaning nothing quite fits right.

Now the pros

- Space! I would call this a 4 man tent and its got loads of space! the living area is superb, I am 6foot 2 and can stand up straight! You could at a push sleep six but you'd have to be good friends!

- The front awning over the door is brilliant to keep the rain out and shelter when having a bbq in a light shower!

- The Organiser on the bedroom door comes in very handy!

- The windows provide a lovely amount of light and its very nice sitting down to breakfast in a nice bright room while watching people sitting outside their smaller tents on chairs, resting a plate on their knees! lol

Overall I like this tent but having worked for a camping company I would say its not the best quality! Outwell now do a seemingly exact copy in the Argos book which is £399, may very well be worth the extra cash to get Outwell quality if you want to keep the tent for a while as the shape/spec of this tent is awesome!

I did purchase the carpet too which in theory is a nice idea BUT its very cheap quality, heavy material and extremely slippy, so be careful!

First weekend away in our new (to us) Boston 600. Lovely tent, very light and spacious and easy to put up and pack away. Only fault is as has already been said, the doors need extra velcro as the bottom hangs outside of the groundsheet so there is a tiny draft, but luckily we had no rain! Looking forward to our next trip in June.

Fabulous tent. Great size, easy to stand up and loads of room for table and chairs. Well made. Only downside is the door at the bottom where the toggles are, stay open too much at the bottom so let a draft in(also dog can get out) I'm going to attach some Velcro for next time. But love all the windows, nice to people watch from inside where your warm and cosy easy to put up (2 adults). AM going to buy the canopy for next time.

We have just returned from 2 weeks away in our Boston 600, we have read both good and bad reviews of this tent and we have nothing but praise for it. It survived torrential and at least 40mph gusts of wind and was solid the whole time. We purchased delta pegs before we went away and these were perfect for it. We bought the tent as a package from outdoorworld direct for £259 including the footprint and carpet which was an excellent purchase. The only downside we had is that the toggle came off of the front sewn in groundsheet flap but that is easily repairable. The space inside was perfect even with furniture etc and the windows allowed plenty of light in. All in all we are very happy and would happily recommend this tent. Pictures to follow.

We have pitched twice and the first time it was pouring after 3 days, with three children in a tent.I have had to go outside to do some maintenance and make sure that its well grounded. It is very delicate and can tear easily as its not made of the hardest material, but its very easy to put up after a few at home practices which I would advise. You don't want any surprises. The space is sufficient and the added comfort of a carpet makes it really cosy. The canopy which I have used also at home has been absolute help as you want to sit outside away from the sun. So far so good.

My husband and I absolutely love this 'gin palace' of a tent! Room to move without tripping over each other despite being still well equipped with table and chairs, cooking equipment, etc. The windows are fabulous and in the cool of the evenings, we just use the side door letting us have clear views of where ever we happen to be. The dogs also love being able to see out and people approaching are less likely to be barked at as they can be seen.

The tent weathered an overnight storm perfectly and the light from the windows on the following dark and grey morning made us feel snug and cosy without feeling claustrophobic.

It is easy to pitch and I am confident that if my husband was absent, I could pitch this tent by myself having successfully manoeuvred a 4 berther single handed.

As with all tents, some adjustments have to be made to suit individual requirements and with us, it will be additional velcro to secure the window curtains. It would be nice to be able to afford the carpet but in the meantime, an old blanket over a dust sheet will suffice. By the way, we paid £199 for our Boston 600.

Mixed feelings about this tent. Purchased June 2010, used only once so far. Quality is certainly an issue. The tent feels cheap and when up it just doesn't quite fit right, almost as though the tent has been cut to the wrong size when it was in production. It doesn't feel very sturdy in light winds, not had any strong winds yet to comment on.

I bought the canopy too and the quality is awful. The metal poles are cut very rough and mine are stuck together and will not part, tried WD40 etc but will not budge.

The tent groundsheet has a hole in it, this was already their when I opened the tent. The doors need a modification to stop them blowing about, our side door lets in rain because it is blowing around and lips into the tent, so the water running down the outside of the tent falls in at the bottom, pointless a sewn in ground sheet if it fills with water. As other comments have been made some velcro will do the trick, but come on should we have to do this?

On the plus side it is a great design, and the canopy makes for an overall big tent with lots of outside and inside space. Nice and light with the big windows.

I would still have bought this tent as it is easy to put up and down, I wanted the biggest family tent available that is easy to put up and I think this is the one to tick that box.

Still a good purchase, but don't expect it to last too long and expect a bit of bad quality.

This is an excellent quality tent for the money. Not sure about Ghound's comments, but from the photograph he's posted it looks like the tent has been badly damaged by a storm, which can happen to any family tent of this size. Well, either that or it has been badly pitched or hit by a tomahawk!

Anyway, as far as I'm concerned the tent pitches easily, provides fantastic living space and offers excellent value for money. The optional extras like the Carpet, Footprint and Windbreak are very good for the money as well. Definitely suitable for family, summer fair weather use in the UK. Obviously not suitable for use in storm force winds, but then what large family tent is? Highly recommended.

I bought an easy camp 600 online several weeks ago from Springfield Camping. I took this tent for a weeks family holiday starting last Friday, it was the tents first outing but it failed miserably. It became windy in the early hours of Saturday night and the poles snapped at the angled metal joints and the tent collapsed with my family inside. My children are 2yrs and 4yrs, and they were scared beyond belief when they had to be pulled clear of the tent at 3am in the dark, and pouring rain to sleep in our car.

To say I'm unhappy with this product would be a gross understatement, my holidays stopped short, I'm out of pocket, everything in the tent soaked and my holiday ruined. In my opinion this product is not fit for purpose, it's being sold in the U.K. But is unable to stand up to our summer weather!

I have posted a pic to show whats left of the tent.
