Fantastic little tent, great use of space with the large (for this sized tent) porch area. Easy to pitch and easy to pack away, single handed took about 10 mins to peg out and erect.

Warm and dry even at the end of October camping right on the banks of a creek which can get very chilly at night. Loved the fact that dirty boots could be left in the porch but being enclosed. Great little tent for short term camping and will definitely pinch it from my daughter again!

A great little tent, my wife and I use it for one night stop overs rather than take our big tent and all the other luxuries. The door is a bit of a problem when it is or has been raining no matter what you do the water always runs right into the doorway also there is a big gap around the porch area that lets in the wind and rain but the sleeping area is bone dry and plenty of room for 2 people and a large air bed. This tent is easy to pitch and easy to put away a real bargain at £35:00 but I don't think they are available any more pity.

This was the first tent my wife and I bought after getting married and wanting a few good (and yet cheap) camping holidays. It cost me about £75 from either Millets or Argos at the time. Seven years (and five outings later) its still going strong.

The first outing was when we pitched it about 10 feet from a cliff edge on the southern cliffs of the isle of Wight. We had a light gale that night which destroyed our campsite and we lost some of our cooking utensils, bowls and plates to the rocks below. Our wind breakers where somewhat broken but our tent stood. Yes, it buckled quite a bit under the wind and some of the guys came loose, but it survived!

Ever since it's kept us dry, and insect free - thanks to the inner sealed bedroom and integrated groundsheet. There is a groundsheet for the porch which has to be pulled out (it's easy to misplace it folded nude the bedroom area).

We love this little tent, it's great even when our first child came along - all three of us can comfortably fit into the bedroom on top of an inflatable double flocked airbed.

Criticisms? Well, it gets quite a lot of condensation inside the flysheet. That's not a problem as the bedroom stays dry, but since the flysheet comes down quite steeply in the porch it's annoying to brush up against the cold, damp skin. However the flysheet is very waterproof and despite camping in the rain it never leaked. However the door has quite a gap underneath it and it's possible to peg out the Tent in such a way that, if you are in a hurry, you'd make the flysheet so tight that you cannot zip it shut easily!

It's a good tent full stop. And since it's available for <£45 these days, I'd say for most singles and couples, there's no better entry level tent. A family might want to look elsewhere though as you cannot stand up inside it unless you're very small.

Thumbs up for this tent. It's brilliant.

We bought this to replace our elderly 265ts which was basically the previous model. It had lasted 7 years as our lightweight motorcycling tent but was past it's best and this was the logical replacement.

The main difference is that it is a little bigger all round and weighs slightly more(oh and now has two small windows at the front).

The inner easily swallows a double air bed with plenty of room for helmets/jackets and panniers down the sides. The porch gets filled with things things you want dry but don't mind getting damp ie boots, chairs stove etc and is more than ample for that.

Faults-take care threading poles through the sleeves. We put one through first time out and ,as previously mentioned, the top of the door zip overhangs the porch groundsheet by some margin and if the tent is wet risk a soaking when getting in or out.

That's nit picking. For the money you would struggle to do better.

Fab, cheap little tent. Withstood strong winds and rain in Whitby while other tents were looking worse for wear. Didn't leak and didn't fall down and kept all our stuff safe and dry. Quick and easy to put up. Excellent size for 2 people, enough room in porch to keep all food, cooking gear and boots and clothes etc can fit in the bedroom. Would recommend for all car campers, prob too heavy/big for cycle camping.

We bought this for our first camping trip (as adults) to Cornwall in 2005. The site was windy but the tent held up well and because the weather was dry we managed to cope with the lack of space. The subsequent year we used it in North Devon but decided we needed more space and so have now got a bigger tent. This one is still used for weekend trips though, most recently in August in Cambridgeshire.

This is very easy to erect and dismantle. The bedroom however would be extremely cosy for three as it only just holds a double air bed and this has to be inflated once it is inside the tent since otherwise it won’t fit through the door. On the most recent trip we used two Slim Airic (very comfy) and this gave us much more room in the sleeping pod.

A perfectly serviceable tent for short trips away.

I felt the tent was fantastic as a first timer tent. I used it to fit two people in and I found the porch area extremely useful to keep dirty boots and cooking gear under cover but away from the main sleeping area. It was straight forward to setup and easy to take down and store away. After this experience I will be looking forward to using it again.

I borrowed two of these for my Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh group expeditions. 2 people shared one and 3 the other.

This tent is amazing! We never had any problems. A good weight to carry, we fit up to 4 people in them snugly on cold nights, 3 was never a problem. Porch space is great, fitting 3 full expedition kits and boots with space to move around.

Seemingly weatherproof, easy to put up in the rain without getting the inner wet, survived large amounts of frost, rain and hail, though have yet to experience very high winds.

When I buy a larger tent, this will be a serious contender!

I owned one of these last year and used it for my first camping trip. As a first timer, it was perfect for me and the dogs - easy to put up, enough room for one single airbed for me and the rest of the floor for the 3 dogs! The porch was useful for storage and keeping any dirt/mess out of the bedroom area.

The tent felt sturdy and we stayed warm and dry!

The only downside was having to crawl around inside, but that's not a criticism as I knew the dimensions when I bought the tent. For a first attempt at camping it suited me fine and the only reason I've since upgraded to a bigger tent is so I can stand up!

I used this tent (and carried groundsheet) on my Duke of Edinburgh practice camp. This tent was really easy to set up and felt very sturdy even though we had nice weather almost throughout. The side door was a bit of a nuisance especially as it was so low and you kept tripping over the bottom of it and therefore weakening the tent pegs etc(which is good in a way for keeping rain, dew, mud etc out. 3 is a bit of a cramp in the sleeping area and would be extremely hot and sweaty in hot weather (which we had) though one man could sleep in the porch maybe like we did. The tent has a useful mesh for keeping out bugs in the bedroom. The porch is a very useful place for storage and would recommend it for Duke of Edinburgh and backpacking.
