The tent itself appears to be a good well put together tent with plenty of room for our family of four. Relatively easy to pitch but absolutely no instructions on how to pitch supplied just a couple of pics as to where the poles go in. The 2011 new front porch doesn't zip like previous models it only rests over the top and whilst using it on a windy site found it popped off a few times when the top poles flexed. The other problem with this tent is the lack of correct accessories available so whilst I would happily recommend this tent it was supplied with a 2010 carpet which is narrower creating a trip hazard and i`m having no joy locating the correct one, already gelert say there are no plans to address this issue of short supply so if you do buy be aware that the carpet will probably be 2010 stock, I`ve made numerous phone calls to various suppliers to confirm this issue

Wow what a tent, we bought a cheap one from Argos which was supposed to sleep 4, we arent the biggest of families, and even we struggled. My sister in law bought the Corvus 6+2 tent wow, she took me out to see it, and I was not disappointed. We went camping with the family and we took our midgy tent and they took their Corvus. We spent every evening in theirs as ours was too small. Hubby was impressed, so we went and bought one too. I am smitten by it, it takes a little while to put up, but is worth it.
I have bought lots of accessories, we bought the Corvus porch a the end of last season 2010, what a god send I cook out there and the fridge is out there. The only thing that lets the porch down is it doesn't have a sewn in sheet, but we use a ground sheet and a rug. It definitely makes a difference, as the children take their shoes off in the porch and then come in, whereas before they were leaning on the zip to balance whilst taking of their shoes
There is loads of room in the tent, we only use 2 of the rooms, we use the 3rd room as my walk in wardrobe. I cant praise this tent up enough, the kids get really excited to go, there are accessories that come with the tent which hang and there are lots of pockets to put various things in. The curtains are also nice as they are attached. In the living area we have the picnic table and four chairs and a food cupboard, and at night we put the lap top on at night and watch dvds. This season we have purchased the carpet, wow, what a difference, it is so soft and warm, and fits perfectly. What more can I say, but you don't know what you are missing,

Yet another tent, we seem to buy one and sell it on every year, thank god for ebay, as we just about get our money back. Yes its a very nice tent, with acres of room and with a family of six. We must have the right tent this time, but as I walked back from the showers, I instantly changed my mind, it just looked like a blot on the landscape, ITS HUGE, maybe its just me, but its just toooo big, I think it looks daft, and with the canopy on I think some sites may charge you double, yes its good quality, but in my humble opinion, far too big.

In a word, FANTASTIC. We first saw this tent at our local camping megastore and was instantly impressed. It's huge, we decided to buy the extras too so ended up with the carpet, windbreak, footprint and canopy for the front, we would have liked to get the side porch but couldn't find 1. Now we've used it a few times we manage to get it up in about 45mins, its been subject to high winds and heavy rain and pretty much just stands there and says is that it. Every time we go camping other campers always comment on how nice and big it is, one guy saw the footprint and asked if I was setting up a 5 a side footy pitch.
The best way to sum this tent up is simply to say buy one

Fantastic tent. We also saw it fell in love with it but went away to see what else was about. Must have returned to the shop 3 times to have another look and each time could NOT find anything better. We love it! So pleased we chose this one. The windows in it are fantastic, love the curtains as well. The size of the living space is brilliant. We are starting to get everything for it this year and are really looking forward to going away again. We have been itching to get it up in the back garden again for months. Good practice for putting it up as it can be a bit tricky. We 100% recommend this tent! We have been so enthusiastic about camping and our tents (3 in total) that our neighbours on both sides now have tents. :) one has even bought the Corvus 6+2 (keeping up with the Jones???)

Moved up to this model from a small Gelert tent. The luxury of this tent is up to 'glamping' standards. It is warm, waterproof, windproof - BUT - there is a technique in erecting this tent, which after one season we have nearly accomplished! We have learnt that for easiest erection - start at one end by inserting one set of roof poles, then legs, then anchor two end guy ropes (temporarily). Make your way down the tent in the same manner (each section being held up by the guy ropes to lighten the weight of the tent). Secure end guy ropes, then work around tent securing in usual way. When dropping the tent, make sure all doors are open to allow the air out as you roll up. Fold two sides lengthways into middle, then start rolling up from the back (bedroom end) - with this method it can still fit back into its carry case - just! Always open to new (improved) ideas on our above methods. Happy camping for 2011.

I LOVE this tent! As soon as we saw the Beyond Corvus 6 + 2 we fell in love with it and bought it. All I can say is that we haven't been disappointed by it.
The first time we put it up we had the same problems as other people have noted with the high entrance. On this occasion I erected the tent from the rear forwards as had been recommended on this site. On my second erection I tried front to back and haven't had the problem since.
The tent is incredibly easy to erect and I have even done it on my own in just over an hour - my wife was heavily pregnant at the time and left me to it. It is also very easy to put down and has fitted back into the bags with ease after each use. We have been unfortunate to have endured a lot of rain on packing up days. We live in central london and short of going to Hyde Park to erect and dry we have been forced to use a small patch of ground outside our flat. The shape of this tent lends itself to being laid out in sections and is very easy to towel dry.
I would definitely recommend buying the front canopy as we have found this to be invaluable, but the side porch was hard to erect and a little disappointing. We love the idea of the carpet but have found it to be disappointing as rising ground water comes through the internal pitching holes (2010 version of this tent doesn't have this problem as there are no internal holes) and through the seams of the carpet to soak everything in sight!
A great tent and I can't wait to get out in it with our new baby at the start of next spring.

We bought one of these Easter Bank Holiday weekend. We have just come back from our 4th trip out with it. We LOVE this tent. We were originally going to buy the Meridian but when we saw this one we fell in love with it.
It is so easy to put up, takes about 20mins to erect it and about 20mins to hang the bedrooms.
The living area is huge and very bright. It has 3 separate rooms, my husband and I sleep in the largest room (this room can sleep 4) my 2 daughters sleep in the next size down (with plenty of room for their clothes etc.) and we use the last room for storage, towels, food etc. Although this can be used as another bedroom if you wish. We have a table and chairs, a washing up stand, a camping cupboard and fridge in the living area but there is still plenty of room to move about.
I would definitely recommend this tent! It's just a shame you can't buy the sunshine with it!

We love love love this tent, we are a family of 5 (mum, dad, 3 troublesome boys) and the space in this tent, and the 3 bedrooms is just great. I love the big windows in the living area which let loads of light in. The spec is great and speaks for itself, there are so many options with this tent and it worth every penny.

Recently bought Corvus and porch, footprint and carpet and used on first family camping trip last month. Went to Appletreewick for 3 nights, put tent up in rain, but got the kids to wipe the inside; in future will ensure all openings are closed before erection, had excellent weather the rest of the time. On reflection the tent could do with some vents at the rear to allow air to blow through to reduce heat during the day. Space was excellent, extra room great for kit and clothes and porch is essential for keeping cooker, cool box, muddy shoes in etc. Would recommend this tent. Only downside was the fact instructions were missing - glad I practised in the garden before arriving in the Dales in the pouring rain and glad I didn't pay retail - got the lot for £499.
