Recommend this tent to any one wishing to upgrade, loads of space easy to put up and pack away. Recomend a porch for extra storage /cooking. Has handy velcro straps around the insides and roof in living area for lighting, great idea. Very well made tent, large windows allow loads of light in. Plenty of air vents around tent allow good air flow through the tent.

We have had our tent for about 18 months now and we find it brilliant.
Easy to erect/dismantle.
High winds are not a problem.
Heavy rain is not a problem, never a drop gets in.
We have a carpet for it which makes the living area a lot more comfortable to walk around in bare foot!
We bought a porch for it last year, not the meridian porch, but the horizon, and find it brilliant also, great for cooking in and storing other kit that is not being used!
If you are thinking about one of these, or the newer Beyond range, I cannot recommend them enough!
5 Stars from us!

Picked this tent up unused from ebay for £150. Never been a fan of tunnel tents as found them unstable but was really pleased with this. Takes 30 mins to put up and does need all guys pegging out but then its not going to go anywhere! Good area inside, sleeping compartments good size. Nice tent, lots of pockets to put things in, cable ties to keep wires out the way which was good, no problems despite some very wet and windy weather in Scotland!

We bought this tent after much deliberation. We opted for it due to its large size, headroom and organization of the bedroom compartments. We were told there was no porch available for this tent but when we bought the tent the shop informed us that the Corvus 6+2 porch fits so we also bought this and it fits nice and snug.
We have now been on 2 camping trips with it and our 2 young children and have been pleased with our choice. On both trips it has rained and been windy but the tent has stayed dry and warm inside. We also bought the carpet which feels nice underfoot and is good for the kids to lounge around on. There are plenty of storage pockets inside the tent which are really handy, and the living space is fairly large and didnt feel cramped with all of us sitting in it when the weather was bad.
The porch is a great addition for providing an area to put your table and chairs in when the weather is not so good and also for boots and kids bikes.
The tent is fairly easy to pitch needing 2 people and took us 45 mins to an hour. The bags are large and therefore no problems getting the tent back in.

Just used this tent for the first time for a weeks Holiday, Me the wife and Grandson. Very easy to pitch but unsure how to line up the foot print hole to the ground sheet holes properly Always seem to be out of line which ever way I pull it, however what a brilliant tent, roomy, comfortable and with really large sleeping areas
I also purchased the sun canopy which was the best £50.00 I've spent in ages, it added that little bit extra space to eat you meals outside, to an already spacious tent. Would recommend to anyone.

Brilliant! We've owned a Gelert Quebec for a few years, and decided to upgrade to the Meridian as it was outer pitch first (the Quebec is inner pitch first, so wet days = wet tent). It is a lot easier to erect than the old tent, and we also have a gelert porch to give us extra cooking space etc, handy when it's raining.
Have just returned from a week in Scotland with my husband, daughter and granddaughter, and two dogs sleeping in our tent, and other family members sleeping in their own tents but eating, etc in ours and we had plenty of room.
I would recommend this tent to anyone with a family and even those who just like to have plenty of room to spread around, like us. Very easy to take down and everything fits easily into two bags, very impressed. Well done Gelert!

Love this tent. Bought earlier this year and have used it four times so far. No leaks, easy to put up (for a novice like myself) and loads of room. Have had 4 adults and 3 children under five sleeping in the tent and it was comfortable and we were not falling over each other. Looks good and the footprint is a must - it really protects the tent! Would recommend

Just bought this tent and used it for a four night break. This was very quick to put up, my 13 year old daughter and I did it in 40 mins in very windy conditions. The tent was fantastic the whole time, very roomy and comfortable, we had several storms with torrential rain and it didn't leak a drop! Packing up was even easier! Took 20 minutes! Would recommend this tent to anyone!

Bought this tent last year for £199 but only managed to use it once due to the bad weather last year! However, just returned from a 2 night break in it, and I have no complaints at all. It was easy to put up, and very sturdy when done. There is lots of room inside, and the sewn in groundsheet makes a real difference. The bedrooms are a decent size if you go for the 4 bedroom option, but if you just have 2 they are huge! The tent was also easy to dismantle, and fits easily back in it's case, which thankfully comes on wheels as it can be a bit heavy!
