Overall, a fine tent if you want to travel light and on a budget. Sits perfectly on the back of my sports bike rack along with sleeping bags, wife and associated luggage etc.
Plenty of room for three, although I think four maybe a little optimistic.
And as for the people that are complaining about waterproofing, well. I've owned two Tornado 3s before this tent and not one of them has ever leaked even in prolonged torrential downpours in the Austrian Alps or the Scottish Highlands. I'ts amazing what a £5 tin of waterproofing spray will do when you first buy a tent. I would never dream of using any new tent without treating it first.
The Tornado are fine value for money in my opinion and every one of them that I have owned has performed well for me. I guess they just need treating right when you first get them. ;)

Bought this tent for walking weekends. Pitched first night but did not stay in it. On the second day it rained, not torrential but constant. Came back to find the inside of the tent soaking wet as it was not waterproof at all. Took the tent home and wrote to seller. They are supposed to be weather checked. Have got a replacement but will be sealing it before first use this time.
Porch area is excellent I have to say.

I purchased the Tornado 4 so for a weekend diving in Portland. The main reasons for picking this tent were the price, the size and the porch area.
The tent is sold as four-man, but you'd all have to be _very_ good friends if you were going to use it as such. I'm 6'4' and had to sleep diagonally across the inner.
The porch area is very generous indeed and swallowed a lot of kit - so 10/10 for that. The ground-sheet is integral with the inner and then pegged out under the porch area. This is OK, but in practice, you need to be careful that water can't run into the porch area.
Pitching was pretty quick and simple; Three poles that plug into pegs in the fly-sheet, a couple of dozen pegs and you're done.
On the second morning there was some rain - not torrential, but heavy-ish. The tent let itself down badly here, with each rain-drop penetrating the fly-sheet in a spray of water. 1/10 There.
For a four-man tent with an ample porch and ventilation at the back of the fly-sheet, I would also say that condensation was pretty high too.
Overall then, I guess you get what you pay for. This is a quick pitching tent - ideal for a couple or, at a squeeze, three - camping in ideal weather.
