Bought this tent to replace our Outwell Montana with something that I could put up by myself with the aid of our 6 and 8 yr old. Very impressed with how easily it went up and down in the shop. Did a trial run in the back garden with my son - we put down the footprint, pegged out corners of the tent and inflated it in under 15 mins including getting it out from the garage, taking the tent out of the bag and working out how to pump it up. Tip for women - wear garden gloves to protect hands and try not to wear a billowing skirt when pumping it up otherwise the skirt will get sucked to the pump on inflation!

Then it was taken for a weekend field test! And what a test it was! We pitched at dusk during a thunderstorm and managed to get it up okay. During the night we had another storm and it still survived. Found a small puddle in the morning but think it was due to where the tent fabric wasn't taut enough while trying to pitch during the hammering rain.

We made the sleeping area into one room by unzipping the dividing fabric - this was not possible with our Outwell as the bedrooms were two separate compartments. We knew that we'd have the children up during the storm so this was a real bonus. We were able to put up two double airbeds and one single in this 'double' space - more Brownie points. Considering it used to take us best part of an hour to pitch our last tent, this one takes about 20 mins . And I should be able to do it by myself as I don't have to reach up high or struggle putting pole pins in

The tent has plenty of pockets in the sleeping and living areas and a well placed lantern point. Our Outwell had one right in the centre which meant that my husband constantly knocked his head on it! We also think that this tent is much taller than the Outwell so it would be perfect for taller campers.

Taking the tent down was a doddle too. I thought that we'd have pockets of air left in the beams but that wasn't so. . Getting the tent, pump and king poles into the bag was easy too.

Haven't given it 10 stars as we haven't tried out the carpet yet and agree with previous review that fly mesh is very fine and liable to snag easily. I'd have preferred curtains that are zipped, like the inflatable Outwell, but we couldn't justify the price tag of the competitors.

Can't wait to take it over to Europe in a few weeks! Happy camping.

We bought ours in May '14, overall the tent's not bad at all for the money, however you need to be quite fit to manage to pump it up in sixty seconds! It's great not messing with poles to pitch the tent, but once inflated be careful to close the doors fully before pegging out all the ropes as it's easy to over tension the zips of the doors making it difficult to open/close them later. The air beams are strong and the tent material is thicker than our previous tent. You need to fiddle a little to get the carpet to lay flat in all corners, probably, an alignment issue again? The tent is not a six berth if using air beds, it's tight for four with bags of clothing in reality. The living area is ok but could do with a porch extension for added space. It unpacks/packs quite easily and although the bag is large, we haven't struggled to put it away. We prefer it to our previous one with poles however we would like more space, the other 8 berth version didn't have the same layout design and we didn't like it. We need a porch please.

Ok, so my 1st review for a tent! this is the cirrus 6 , 1st impressions, packed down in its bag, it is a very big & heavy tent, taking half the boot space of my Citroen c5 estate, taking it out of the bag unrolling and inflating in less than 5 minutes, can be done by 1 person but 2 better as the 2nd person can help straighten the air beams out as they inflate, the sig to peg out and 14 guys , takes approx 20 minutes,and the tent was very stable ! the quality of the tent material is good and has a hh of 6000 which more than proved itself the 1st night in Cornwall , with no leaks, as for the rest of the tent ?? :-( the curtains are fold down and fasten up with velcro tags the 4 side curtains are fine , but the front curtain is to big for the window and does not line up with the tags leaving it sagging badly, the 3 doors do not zip up fully but there are 3 strips of small velcro that is supposed to fasten the bottom , ?? does not work ! leaving the bottom of the doors flapping when windy and very drafty, there are fly meshes to each entry, although a very fine material that gets pulls / snags easily , we also found the inner bedroom compartments also sag ! the carpet looks like it was taken from the scraps bin ( 2 different shades ) and sewn together badly, even with 2 of us , it suffered badly with condensation with all vents open ?? a 6 berth tent , not suited to 6 ?? the living area is relatively small as you will see from the photos, there are myself and the missus so its not to bad , but a family of six would have to be very friendly, all in all . A usable tent, but poor attention to detail , made to a price so it is not upto the standards on Vango or Outwell , I can live with these little niggles except for the carpet , and go outdoors have my tent, and have admitted they are aware of and not happy with these problems and are working with hi gear to correct , as for my tent ?? will see what go outdoors say and do for us ??

Part of the Hi Gear Airgo range, it takes the hassle out of setting up your tent. Built using highly robust double skinned beams that are simply filled with air using the included stirrup pump, it provides a rigid pole-free frame in minutes.
