Well after many months of saving and researching for a Bell Tent we went for the Karma canvas one. Bought it a couple of weeks ago. Ordered it on line on a Tuesday night and it arrived on the Thursday very impressed with the fast delivery. We also got the inner.
Got back yesterday after 2 nights camping the weather was the worst! Rain and high winds for at least 8 hours. That tent was given a good test run and passed with flying colors while our friends Vango Icurus 500 ( which is the same tent we had before this) died a death with broken poles whoops! The Bell stood fast.
The sandstone color makes the dullest day seem so much brighter inside compared to the green of the Vango.
Great price , fast delivery. Takes no time to pitch, put it up twice and it was a so easy .
Looking forwards to many years with our bell tent.

I had doubts before getting this tent, purely on the basis that there just aren’t many reviews of it. I compared the 2012 version against a couple of their competitors and this tent won me over. As well as all the other features the competitors offered, it also had a drop down doorway and mesh on the door all at a very competitive price. We opted for ZIG as we have limited space to dry the tent if it gets wet.
This tent is heavy for a weakling like me and I suspect that I will probably end up getting a wheeled bag for it at some point but I am seriously impressed by how quick and simple it is to put up (and down) – even easier than the Vango Icarus we previously have owned and I didn’t even feel the need to threaten the other half with divorce like I normally do!
Being canvas the tent was much quieter than Nylon tents in rain and wind – the noisiest thing being the tabs on the zips moving but it was very, very windy! The tent definitely felt much cooler when it was hot, particularly compared to our friend’s tent but being dark green probably contributed to that.
We eventually opted for a bedroom inner because we felt it would make the tent easier to keep warm during chilly evenings and our children will not go to sleep if they can see us moving about but it does take up a lot of the space and spoils the look a bit. We ended up getting the inner from Bell Tent as this was the only company that currently sells one with a divider down the middle and it fit perfectly.
Quite frankly I love this tent due to the sheer simplicity of it all and it is so relaxing to sit in. Negatives found so far – people wanting to look in (when I was trying to get dressed) and the impossible to resist ‘need’ to glamp it up! My big burly other half loves it too!
Also feel the need to comment on the service at Karma Canvas – Andrea was fantastic – from answering my initial questions about it, sorting out my order when I mucked it up to phoning me to confirm details of delivery. Would recommend both the company and the tent.

I'm delighted with my beautiful bell tent.
Good points:
Easy to put up and take down solo.
Great quality of fabric and groundsheet and poles.
Loads of space inside.
Stays much cooler in the hot weather and no condensation.
Aesthetically stunning from inside and out!
Not so good points:
Only one.The zip catches on the groundsheet so to takes a while to zip on and off. Not enough of a bad point to knock it down a mark!
Point to note.It is really really heavy. I'm fairly strong but could not lift the bag with poles and pegs in the main bag. Without poles and pegs I can just about lift it. If it was wet I'd have to take the zig off to lift it.

These tents are brilliant. I had the Eurohike Buckingham (Tunnel Tent) before which was fine, but nothing special, then I saw one of these last year and was so envious! After much looking around and comparing, I finally bought one from Karma Canvas who were really helpful and dealt with any queries.
Ordered the tent and within 2 days it had been delivered. We put the tent up for practice and were surprised at how much bigger it was! We bought the 5m with the zip in groundsheet.
Very easy to put up - we managed to put it up in pitch black the first time we went camping, and caused considerably less arguments! Once put up, there was so much space inside for my wife, myself and our very naughty springer spaniel puppy.
We do not go camping 'light' and pretty much took everything with us, including a chandelier for the central pole of the tent. It looked amazing at night and got lots of glances from other people during the day!
We also bought the awning and the tent inner, but didn't use the inner as the tent is cosy enough without it. There is loads of headroom and I almost want it to rain so that we can spend more time in the tent!
The canvas bag that the tent comes in is open at one end with a draw-string, so we were worried about packing up. I looked up online and saw examples of how to pack it away so when it came to it, it took about 15 mins to undo it all and pack it up. Was even more pleasing as I had the pleasure of watching the in-laws still undoing their tent, whilst we had packed away! Result! Great way to end the camping weekend!
