Hi we have just come back from our first holiday in out Maryland and I am 100% impressed! The tent was spacious, even for us (we have 6 kids ranging from 12 down to 21mth). It took us about 20 mins to erect, then my other half went round doing the guyropes while I got to work setting the inside up.

We had 2 adults on double airbed, 2 small kids on airbeds and a travel cot in one side and my older 3 kids in the other side, plus all the accessories a 12 yr old girl needs :0) The main living area was huge, plenty of room for all of us. The porch on the front was also a good size, we used it as a kitchen, but in future I would like to use it as a dining room with the kitchen in an outhouse.

The tent has so many features that I really liked, obviously the SIG and the ZIG on the porch. It has silly things like velcro ties to hold the guyropes in place when packed up, lots of vents and windows, labelled poles etc.

It was a very warm tent, I have been in some that seem to be freezing soon as the sun goes down, not this one though. All in all a very nice tent that is well worth the money. Only downside is that some sites wont take it because it is so big.

As soon as I saw this tent I fell in love with it. It was HUGE! The living area was perfect. The lay out was perfect. The porch area was our cooking area, it was ideal as we have a 16 month old (who into everything). I couldn't fault this tent really.Until it rained! Above one of the roof windows water was coming in and the central point of the tent. We had to put bowls around to collect the water. As you can imagine this was eventful with a 16 month old. We brought our tent from a yeomans tent show and apparently was the last one in the company, it was the ex-display so when we tried to return it we were'nt allowed. Because when you buy ex-display you cant return even though they didn't make us aware of this. So not being able to get an exchange for the same one or a refund we have exchanged it for a Vermont L. Wish us luck! I think like everything you buy there is always a chance of faults happening so this could be a one off.

This monster tent was ideal for our family holiday. I have 4 children under 8 so needed space to holiday in the UK. We also purchased the front awning so that we could keep the 'kitchen' items out of harms way.

The central living area was massive and there was plenty of room for us all, including baby items, without feeling cramped. We were very lucky with our site as it was also huge 11m sq. I think that true camp sites will take this size tent, but the commercial 'resorts' seem to have a 6m sq limit. So if you like to go to the resort sites don't buy this, but if you go camping - I would definitely buy it all over again.

I love my tent too, but like Helen I've had trouble finding sites that will accommodate it as it is a bit of a monster being 9.1 x 6.4m. The only other bug bear is the bag with the poles is sooo heavy, I've had to buy an additional bag with wheels as I don't think it will last very long!

On the whole, I love all the features - the storage pockets, the curtain ties, the windows that let so much light in, the slot to allow the electric cable in without having to leave a door/window open, the hanging area which gets warm even when it's not that warm outside due to the large window so aiding drying, the fact that the bedroom pod on the left unzips in the centre as well as the front, so you can have extra dressing room in your bedroom without falling over the bed or having to dress in the living area (that is mine by the way, the kids can have the others!).

What can I say? A real home from home & I love it!

Finally managed to book a site for this coming week at Cofton, fingers crossed for the weather.

This is a fantastic tent and obviously designed by someone who goes camping a lot. There are lots of natty little features. The central hook for the light, the rail for hanging clothes or drying towels, the cable slot for your hook up, the curtain fastenings. The list is endless! My only minus point is finding campsites that can accommodate it - at 9.1m x 6.4m, it's a monster. I love my canvas bungalow!

When the tent arrived with us the first thing that struck me was the weight, the tent itself is not a problem coming in a bag with wheels, but the bag with the poles in was really heavy and would be a struggle for a lot of people who weren't used to a metal pole system.

After getting everything out into our garden my son and I set about the task of putting it up. At first glance the tent didn't seem to be that big (but all that was about to change). The poles were easy to put together they are all colour coded for quick reference Red for the centre, Blue for the bedroom pods and Black for the porch (I would recommend you to buy coloured electrical tape and re-do them though) They were quite easy to get through their relative sections and the tent went up pretty easy for such a large tent. Before we put the poles on to their pins we made sure the pins were at the furthest point on the tightening straps. You really need to do this otherwise you will struggle to locate the poles on to the pins, once on just pull them tight ,the whole thing took about 45 minutes to erect not bad for a first time.

Now we come to the inside and I got to say having never seen the tent in the flesh as to speak ,only ever seeing pictures of it I was shocked by the sheer scale of it. If you want or need a big tent then this is it, absolutely fantastic is how I would describe it. The porch area alone is the size of the living space of a lot of big tents I've seen, and the living area is as nearly as big as our lounge at home. It is also quite tall inside so for all you 6+ footers out there you will have no problems at all anywhere in this tent. There is a back door in the tent and a side and front door on the porch so that should take care of ventilation problems and with a sig that should take care of draughts at night. There are loads of windows on this tent that go from top to almost bottom giving fantastic panoramic views and more light than you could possible ever need and on top of that there are two skylights as well.

The bedroom pods were a little disappointing in my view, they were more than large enough but I would have preferred to see four separate pods rather than have zip dividers between them ( but this does seem to be the way the manufacturers on nearly all tents are keeping the costs down this year) Having said that the bedroom pod on the left (as you walk in) zips back to make one very large bedroom which is great.

It didn't take us long to put it away either, but I would say follow the way they fold it on the video and make sure you leave the doors open, other wise you end up with something that looks like a parachute.
