Used it on first time last week in conjunction with our Montana 6. Super addition, we did all of our cooking in it which left the majority of the main tent clutter free. We were able to zip it up totally if we wanted complete privacy or open it up if we wanted to see the world. Loads of windows so ample light if desired. Price starting to come down now (£165.00) from Go outdoors price match and money very well spent

Used our awning for the first time this weekend and it is fab! We started with the canopy 5 yrs ago and then progressed to the extension 2 yrs ago - this is the best yet.

As the previous review suggested, it doubles your living capacity. We put our cooking kit in it and all of our hardware, leaving the tent clear. Packed the table, chairs etc into it at night and still loads of room.

My Monty is 5 yrs old so doesn't have all the attachment points for the bathtub groundsheet, this does leave the GS flapping a little where it meets the tent, also had the water ingress problem but that was due to some sloppy groundsheet fitting on our part I think!

It's pricey but well worth it - we were considering changing our Monty but won't now as the awning has once again transformed the tent

Fantastic addition to the Montana 6 and effectively doubles the living area of the tent - definitely caused a few cases of 'tent envy' among other campers when they realised we had a dedicated kitchen/diner and general storage area - leaving the living area of the tent as a relaxing space, free from the usual clutter. Slight water ingress at the front during a particularly heavy rain-storm but only ourselves to blame as we'd pegged the bathtub groundsheet flat at the entrance to avoid being a trip hazard to our 2 young children!

Bought this recently with our 2010 outwell monty 6, had our first camp in it Easter weekend and have to day its great. Like the extension but with more floor space, bathtub ground sheet to keep out weather and dust, roll up curtains for privacy and the great benefit of keeping you kitchen gear or belongings dry and out of sight. The front opens as a door or can be rolled completely up to make it fully open like the extension. A bit more expensive but well worth it!
