We have just returned from our maiden voyage in our tent - never been camping before as also have a caravan.
This tent is fantastic, big enough for the 3 of us and 2 dogs, but not so big that you have to fill it with the contents of your house (something that we definitely did not want to do).
Goes up easy, me and my 11 year old stroppy daughter can do it between us with ease.
We were all warm and cosy in the sleeping pod at night, didn't feel cold or damp even without ehu, probably as it is compact.
We even managed to eat inside with all of us and a table, although it was a squeeze.
I love the fact that you can stand up in it, and also that it is such an easy pitch.
There is just one problem though, it made me seriously grumpy when we had to pack up and go home ! I fear I may be changing my faith to Bedouin, if only for the fact I can live in my tent.

After not camping for 25 ish years we took the plunge and bought one of these for £120.Bargain.We took the plunge and went on a one nighter to see what we may need for future camps. The tent was easy to put up,2 of us in about 20 minutes,I was so pleased being out of practice. There was plenty of room for 2 of us and the dog although it may be a bit cramped with 3 people, but plenty of headroom which is good for me.Jan is a titch! Very easy to take down as well and pack away and it all went in our ford fiesta with ease. Can't wait to take it out again, very soon I hope.

You know that you are getting old when, even for a short one or two-night camp with just a couple of you, you want a tent in which you can stand up. Thus was my justification in buying the Outwell Nevada 3.
Pitching is fairly easy as it is essentially a short, three-pole tunnel tent. The main difficulty is due to the tent being head-height and so the poles are very long; after inserting the poles into the sleeves it helps to have one person inside the tent to lift the tent while the other. There is a “three-berth” bedroom pod which for two is luxuriously proportioned. Also, what is rare in a tent of this size, there is a SIG living area that would comfortably sit two in chairs as well as being tall enough to stand up in. There is one large door which, like most Outwell tents, has the option of full-door mesh for bug-free ventilation and/or window. There are also two other windows and all windows have “curtains”. There are also vents at the front and back of the tent. Everything seemed to be well put together.
The tent is not, however, perfect. I’m not a fan of tents that are set up to have people sleeping along the plane of the door; it means that those sleeping away from the door have to climb over others if they need to get out in the middle of the night. Another downside to the design is that, because the door is on an angle and there is no canopy, getting in and out of the tent when it is raining without the living area getting wet is difficult and inconvenient. For this reason I also bought the Aztec Single Pole Canopy which works well with the Nevada 3 and can be bought for £19; an alternative is the Vango Large Sun Canopy. One final quibble is the single, central guy rope over the door; this really gets in the way when getting in and out of the tent, especially when you also have a canopy; I’m sure that it would be possible to have two guys, one on either side of the door.
The Nevada 3 had a claimed RRP of between £200 and £220 but in no way is it worth anywhere near that figure and this is doubtless little more than a cynical ploy to give the impression that you are getting a good deal once the price has been reduced. Even at the “sale” price of £150/160, which it was at for much of 2009, this tent is over-priced. However, once it was reduced towards the £100 mark (and under) then it became a very good buy.
But for all the complaints we found this a great “little” tent for two to spend a few days in comfort. If you bought it for the “reduced” price then this is a really good, convenient and spacious tent for two. It has many of the comfort features of a family tent in the convenient footprint of a three berth tent.
My nine-star rating is based on the tent being bought around the £100 mark. If I had bought it at £160 then it would only get six or seven stars and only four or five if I had bought it at the full RRP of £200+.

As a couple with over 25 years experience camping, when researching for the ideal weekend plus tent we had high expectations and knew what we wanted. A tent that would easily accommodate a couple with standing room for a 6 foot plus bloke in the sleeping and living areas, easy and quick to pitch (10 mins), a living area that we could comfortably sit in with a small table and must have large windows to take advantage of the great views on offer, a tub style groundsheet to keep bugs out and the warmth in, good ventilation to minimise condensation, excellent waterproof properties (3000 hh), and of course high quality build. This tent has it all. It is the ideal tent for couples who want to relax and get away from it all. Why not a ten rating then? Two reasons, firstly there is a guide rope directly out the front entrance of the tent, though not a big deal it would have been better to have 1 each side and secondly we did have slightly wet weather on its first outing and no problems there but did not manage to confirm its stability in windy conditions. However there are plenty of guide ropes so even though the tent is relatively tall I would not foresee this as a problem. Simply, if you are looking for those points mentioned above in a tent buy the Nevada 3 especially as you can get it now for under £100. Great value.

Brought this early August and used twice (1 x 4 nighter and 1 x 2 nighter) - rained heavily in the night on both trips, but kept snug and warm. Easy to erect, if a little awkward (I am 5'3' female) - managed it myself in 30 mins first time. Excellent quality material.
Very spacious - fitted 2 chairs and smallish table in living area with space left over.
Recommend groundsheet underneath, even though has SIG - so glad I used one, as folding tent up would have been a muddy nightmare - groundsheet took all mud/new forest creatures!
Only criticism is bedroom is very light and found it difficult to get back into sack, but then this is a common problem anyway with most tents.

A really great tent. Perfect size for myself, my husband and our scottie dog. Plenty of room in sleeping area for double airbed, dog bed (when its cold!) and our holdall. Extremely east to erect and the fluorescent guy ropes are really easy to avoid! All in all a great little tent for weekends away. Purchased ours in Go Camping for approx £100. 100% value for money.

When I was a kid I hated camping, always cramped and cold, so when my partner suggested buying a tent and going camping I was a little reluctant. We visited go outdoors and after a lot of looking at tents and camping equipment my partner said we would get the Nevada 3. Wow what a tent easy to erect spacious and well put together. We went away for the weekend to a little camp site in Yorkshire but the weather turned out terrible, the one consolation was the tent remained fully waterproof and surprisingly snug. Two weeks later we re visited go outdoors and purchased enough camping gear to fill a small truck, looks like were going camping a lot more this year

Only purchased today, surprised how roomy it is, managed to put up on my own in garden. Looked a little baggy. But then I have been used to ridge tents, this is my first tunnel! Any advice welcome. Looking forward to using this lovely tent and all the headroom. Really excited at the prospect of some luxury camping. PS Millets in Wrexham have this tent for £119.99

Received outwell Nevada 3 this morning. Erected it in the garden myself, no wind. This is a brilliant tent, roomier than I expected, perfect for two adults and all the necessary trappings. One minor irritation there is a guy rope at entrance, would have been better one each side. Easy to put up, well made and good price highly recommended.

This is a fantastic tent. I thought I hated camping and had somehow agreed to go camping for two weeks. I loved the tent and even with one of the weeks being really wet we found no need to wimp out and stay in a B&B.
It stayed really dry and the sewn in ground sheet is a great feature as nothing gets wet and no insects can get in. It was really easy to put up and pack away and it is well designed to the finest detail. I was warm most of the time and the fact it is standing height I felt really comfortable. We had a double air bed and all our stuff for two weeks which fitted in well.
We found that in the shops it was £200 but found it online for £150. I think it has been cheaper recently so definitely shop around.
