By: Em_burrow Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2010 Rating:
We recently stayed in North Northumberland in our Oakland XL for the first time, and found the side extension slightly tricky to put up in that the instructions are very vague and it isn't obvious where the lines that stretch across the tent are supposed to clip onto. On the second day it was very windy, several tents nearly blew away, and we were forced to take down the extension, as the lines that stretch over the top of the tent were putting a lot of strain on the main tent, and the extension itself was like a sail. So overall ok in good weather, very spacious and light, but the instructions could be clearer, and I definitely wouldn't risk leaving it up in strong winds.
