We are a family of 5 and love this tent, there is more than enough room for us and all our stuff. Really like the curtains/door zips/fly screen mesh doors. We have had some mould in one of the small bedrooms and the side entrance door zip has broken, but I believe we can fix these things and overall think we have an excellent tent. Very easy to put up and down. We have taken it to a festival and had a few comical looks due to the size of it compared to the usual festival tent!

Just arrived home from our first camping trip in our 2008 model. Great week away and our 4 & 6 year olds loved the tent and having their own bedroom (used 3rd as the spare room/storage - ideal). We had some really strong winds which were coming side on, it felt at times like it was going to cave in on us but never did and always went back to its proper position. It was very easy to put up and even the seasoned campers next door commented on how quick it took to put away. Great family tent but have noticed a tiny patch of damp in the corner of one of the bedrooms but only when were putting it away. Looking forward to taking it to France in July.

I bought this tent from a friend for £120 as they had upgraded to a caravan. They had only used it once but unfortunately their holiday was cut short due to poor weather, hence upgrading to a caravan.

Myself and family (2 children 4yrs & 8yrs) have only used this once ourselves but I would like to say that it is probably one of the best tents I have ever camped in! There is so much space and it is also very sturdy against the wind etc. Also it is very easy and simple to erect and that was without any instructions.

We used the front as a kitchen and also a seating area for when the children had gone to bed and myself and the wife cuddled up together for a couple of drinks.

I have had a look at other reviews and what other people have paid for this tent second hand and I believe that I have had an excellent bargain that will last us until we eventually decide to upgrade to a caravan.

I would fully recommend this tent to anyone who was looking at purchasing one.

JUST FABULOUS! Bought this at the beginning of the summer - used it lots and its been a great investment. Had no problems with it with regards to the use. Even with just 2 of us to put it up - we can manage it in just over 1/2 hour. Footprint is a must we've found. Lots of space and plenty of room in the sleeping areas. We reckon we could easily live in it! Also - the roller bag is great for getting the tent around (as its rather heavy!) The fact that the canopy is already attached means that you don't have to fiddle around with putting that up.

I have to admit though that the first few times we put it away we had problems fitting it back in the bag - however, we've now worked out how to fold it properly! Fantastic tent 10/10

New model Sun Valley 8 used for first time for 2 weeks at end of August. We had no problems with this tent and I am very glad I bought it. We had to put it up in pouring rain and it only took about half an hour - without reading instructions first! The front porch was very useful, especially when it was raining. Would recommend buying a footprint groundsheet as much easier to clean when you get home than getting the whole tent out again. A very roomy tent with lots of space. Had plenty of rain the first week with no leaks. Would definitely recommend.

Brand new to camping, so wanted to be quite comfortable for our first camping holiday in the Yorkshire Dales in July 08.We are really happy with the tent. We bought the 2008 version, It took my 11 year old daughter and I less than an hour to put up, loads of space-easily fitted the large Outwell table for 8 people-and more than enough room for family of 4. Plenty of head room, lots of light through windows, very airy-if needed with the options of the side doors. Our tent came with the footprint and carpet so it made it feel very cosy. The tent managed to with stand some quite heavy weather- strong wind and rain with only one very minor leak through a zip on the side door ( Some idiot hadn't velcroed the storm flap down over the zip, once done it was fine.)

Things to improve would be:

1, Outwell to stick to advert blurb about window curtains rolling up-they don't, they roll from the top- so its curtains all the way up or all the way down-not as advertised.

2, Electric cable tidy to run completely across the roof to allow option of power cables where you want them (ie opposite cable entry point if desired)

Otherwise these are small whinges, its a fantastic tent and its got me hooked on camping (comfortably).Money well spent.

We bought this tent in January this year but got the 2007 model.

Used end of May in blazing sunshine so had front lifted and loved the front part, we nicknamed the conservatory!

Got this tent as we now have children that need separate sleeping areas so that worked well, plenty of room.

Like the storage pockets, although be careful and put something too heavy in them and you can't shut the bedroom door.

Used tent again for the last 2 weeks for a very soggy fortnight in Cornwall. Tent leaks. Basically the seams where the poles go, the rain comes through each loop and puddles at the bottom. Also water comes through the seams in the groundsheet. Not now fussed on the door at the front as its slopped and the rain comes straight in.

The side doors are only velcroed in 2 places, not zipped shut, so in winds, the wind and rain comes through. Our tent is badly put together and you can see in places the stitching on the actual tent not the seams.

The other thing is as its the lightweight poles, any bit of wind makes them a nightmare to put the tent up, we had wind and rain, the tent buckled and one of the poles split. We had to attach extra guy ropes to one side to keep the tent up due to the wind and the rubbish poles.

We are returning tent due to leaking problems and getting a steel poled one. We had worse rain and wind last year which our Colorado never moved or leaked.

Great in the sun, poor in the wind and rain.

The Sun Valley 8 is a brilliant tent. Have had problems in the past with getting the front to sit tidy, but have got it right now. Once you've practised putting this tent up and got the hang of it it's easy. It takes two of us about half hour to get the tent up and then we take out time to get it sitting right. It's all part of the holiday.

Plenty of space even with all the camping gear inside it(and I should know because we take everything except the kitchen sink.)We use the front for a kitchen and with the optional bedroom taken out we have a great living area set up.

Love this tent we bought it so we could take the grandchildren away with us, We have plenty of room we have had no problems with ours. When we go away for long stays we take this tent and there is just the 2 of us,We get people coming to have a look at it and we have been told it is like a bungalow,

Easy to put up. We take the small bedroom out and have one big bedroom It is just like home. We use the end with the bath tub ground sheet as a kitchen, then the living room with table and chairs etc. It has plenty of windows . Also nice to be able to close off the kitchen bit if you want to,

I take one away with me all the time now

Absolutely love this tent( the pre 2008 version). It's layout is great for our small family. The flexible lay out means you can have one big bedroom or three small ones. We cook and store in the porch area and live in the living area. The large windows and zippable front make it feel airy and light. It is reasonably quick and easy to put up and we were attracted to the smaller pack size compared to tents with metal poles.

We also had a few quality control issues with the tent initially but that said we still love it and haven't seen anything else to match it for price, size and pack size.
