Used mine on the Great Outdoors Challenge, west to east, across Scotland. Used it for 11 nights in all weathers, wind and hail included. Less condensation than the Akto brigade which really gave them the hump! TIP Put an eyelet in the bottom of the door, prop it open with a treking pole/stick/bike and you have a reasonable porch to cook in. Mine was a green one but now own an orange one (ok if you camp very remotely)

What a fantastic tent. Having always camped in large family tents, I was surprised how this tent still had plenty of room to move. I admit, I'm only 5'2' but a six footer would still manage. I'm was travelling on a cycle, so weight and size was important and this tent was both small and light. So easy to erect I never even bothered with the instructions. Had no problem with condensation and the tent held up and stayed dry even when we had a massive downpour of great English rain. I have to admit only one tiny fault, if I was a motorcyclist, there is little space in the awning to keep boots/helmet/leathers. Really a very good buy and I only paid £24.44 for mine. Be alive, be calm, be happy.

Purchased this tent from Argos for a motorcycle tour of Scottish highlands. It is very light, quick and easy to erect and it stood up to all the Scottish weather could throw at it, wind and rain (buckets of the stuff) Stayed firmly attached to the ground, never leaked, dried off very quickly. Plenty of room for me and kit, yes it's orange but don't be put off by that. Fantastic price and great for people on very tight budget.

Brought this tent in the Argos sale for £24.Needed a small pack, light weight tent for a cycle camping tour of Normandy France due to take place around June/July 2010.Well for £24 who could miss taking a chance?
Pitched in about 10 mins first time out the bag.Looks good and the build quality is high.Ample room inside for one person and kit, can't wait to use it in 'anger'
Seems to me like a damn fine bargain, I'm impressed, but then again I have a couple of Pro-Action sleeping bags and they are good gear too.

I needed a tent for my cycle camping holiday and heard about the Hike Lite on a camping website. The main reason I chose it was because of the low weight and having little spare cash.
What surprised me was how well designed the tent was and I would have to give it 10 out of 10 for value. I paid £33 for a light usable tent with plenty of room for 1 and gear. The poles are high quality aluminium alloy.
It can be pitched in about 10 minutes
The outer is rainproof but care must be taken when positioning the outer so that the pitch first inner is adequately covered.
The fully sown in groundsheet seeped in a tiny bit of moisture but I have totally cured this with fabseal
The not so good parts are:
1] the colour is as seen in the photo
2] the inner is partially mesh which means it is draughty on cold very windy nights.
Condensation is present but not a problem, as the vent actually works.
Overall, although not quite up to Hilleberg build it is one tenth of the price and I am still staggered as I was by the quality/value ratio as I was when I first pitched the tent. Well done Mr Argos!
